Tell me a bit about your couple: Claves and Falsetto were once comrades along with Claves' lover, Jazz. Falsetto was also in love with Jazz, but Claves was unaware. After Claves betrayed them -- having been a double agent -- she was killed... an order by the count she worked for behind the scenes... The very man their rebellion had been fighting against. Even though she betrayed them, they still found a way to bring her back.
After her revival, Claves found herself feeling unworthy and left. Her life was so strange without Jazz and in a new place. She fell for a blind prince after spending a year with him. It was a long, slow process as she was so unsure of being allowed to feel as if she'd be good enough to have a lover again, but he ended up rejecting her affections after perusing her for so long.
Dejected, crushed, unsure she'd ever be able to love again, she found her old comrade and sobbed in her awkward embrace. Falsetto ended up being her place of comfort, and somehow along the way, they fell for each other. It was strange, and almost seemed so wrong at first since Falsetto once saw her as her rival for the man she loved as well, but even that couldn't keep them from being together. Now they stand by each other, forever comrades and lovers.
