'Adamanth and O'thor have taken damage' Plexith reported 'it was a hard score but I do not believe it will cause them to turn back.' The bronze reported, but he bugled some encouragement to the new silver wingmate none the less.
'Moriath's asks after our condition.' The bronze went on a moment later, but both he and D'lin had to pause before responding when the unpredictable sea air gusted, sending tangles of thread in unpredictable patterns. 'Look sharp!' He warned the rest of the wing before blinking between to escape the ravages of one such clump.

'Plex?' D'lin asked as they reappeared in formation. 'PlexITH' the bronze responded, his eyes dulled slightly with the pain of the score but firm and confident none the less. His strong response to the nickname doing much to reassure D'lin that the bronze, though hurt, was not to badly wounded.
'Tell Moriath that we take expected damage but continue to fly in good strength.' He responded now that they had time to answer such inquiries.
'Very well.' The bronze replied before contacting Moriath 'Gale Stalkers take expected damage but continue to fly strongly.' He assured his fellow Wing Leader.

F'itz & Brumath Agility: 2 HP: 60/60 ------------ F’itz tossed more firestone to his bondmate and hung on grimly as the brown executed a surprisingly deft barrel roll to avoid a clump of Thread, which he then twisted his head around in order to sear out of the sky.
Brumath replied, snorting smoke,
F’itz wiped soot from his goggles with one sleeve and made a noise of frustration that was whipped away by the wind.

Eliza and Velath were running out of firestone, the sack growing increasing empty. 'Call for a refill Velath' Eliza prompted and the green did so. Unfortunately they were also growing tired and with the greens attention on calling for more firestone a clump of thread managed to sneak just a little bit to close. 'Velath! Look out, roll left! Roll Left!' Eliza practically mentally shouted at her lifemate.

'What?...oh!' The startled green replied, rolling even before she had caught sight of the danger and narrowly escaping another a score. 'I am sorry mine, I was distracted by..' Well there didn't seem to be any point in actually elaborating, she knew Eliza could feel her fatigue.
'It's alright Velath, We just have to keep it up a little longer...is there a refill coming?"
'Yes..I got the request in just before the thread threat.'

Cheryth was still flying strongly, taking the words of her fellows to heart as encouragements were called out and warnings were given. 'One of the new silvers has taken a good bit of damage' Cheryth suddenly spoke up.
'Is he still able to fly today?'
'Yes but he is new..you know how badly that first score stings.'
'I think our first was rather worse then most..but yes, maybe I'll check in on them when we are done.'

A sudden sting of pain from her wingtip made Moriath jump between. She and her rider determined that they were undamaged whilst still in the black void but the close call made Kleos' heart rate pick up; had that tangle wrapped around Moriath's wing it would have been the end of their flying days most likely. Always so close to disaster, life and death as close together as one heartbeat and the next.
Moments later they reappeared in sync with the rest of their wing and Moriath spat a small jet of fire at a strand of Thread just ahead of them.

Undeterred by his threadscore (it hurt, but he would deal), Hatteth turned to receive more firestone. Then he focused back on the Threadfall, looking for his next target. He didn't try anything ambitious this time, just aimed for a cluster nearby and flamed it to char.

J'nes and brown Hatteth - Damage post
Agility: +1
HP: 43/53
Despite his attempt at caution, the fickle winds plotted against Hatteth. As he was focusing on what he was flaming in front, a wayward gust of wind tossed large cluster of Thread onto his tail, engulfing a portion of it. Hatteth yelped in surprise and pain, then winked between.
How is it this time? J'nes said, already twisting around so that as soon as they reappeared he could see this dragon's tail. He blanched slightly to see the angry welts oozing ichor. Should we stop and get some numbweed?
I'm fine. I still fly, his dragon insisted stubbornly. They need every dragon, and that doesn't keep me from flying and flaming. More firestone, he demanded, turning his head for a chunk.

The thread was falling thickly now and the unpredictable sea air wasn't helping anyone's ability to char it in a reliable fashion. It seemed like everytime they got a good hit in on the thread..another clump of the wretched stuff flew in out of no where and ruined the moment.
'Such is the way of fighting thread' Plexith stated as he flickered between to freeze of a tangle that had wrapped around his tail.

Twisting around to look at the damage once they returned to their position, D'lin winced..but the wounds were in a non-vital location ad as painful as they were they would not keep them from seeing the rest of the fall through.

Eliza and Velath had focused their attention on a nice thick clump of thread, the green opening her jaws to flame it into oblivion when out of no where a stray strand, missed by the rider above them made them call off the attack to avoid injury, Velath nimbly swerving out from under the attacking stand before charring it.

Dizzian and Courath // Burn Post
~ Stone. ~ Courath could feel her reserves empty with the last bust of flame. The waves coming right on top of one another and allowing no rest between. Her wings burned with the effort and the scorings she'd taken made themselves known with every stroke.
~ Courath do we need to land? ~ Dizzian reached into the bag at her side, startled to find only a few small stones left. Quickly, Courath was allowed to chew them down.
~ Not yet.~ Even her mental voice sounded tired and her speech less eloquent than normal. ~ Little longer...~
Dizzian made a face but didn't say anymore, there was Thread to their left and Courath angled to flame it. Oh how she ached!

S'kiro/Neptanth- Burn

They had a small break as Neptanth took more stone into his gullet, raising a hand to Dizzian, right before they had blinked as Thread had hit them. Tell them to keep a better eye out on where they are when doing that. As shall we, too. S'kiro was looking, around as the blue flew, ready to spew forth more flame.
He wasn't looking in the right direction and a one little sharding piece hit them. With a muffled cry of pain, the blue went between and returned just as fast. S'kiro feeling the pain, turned to see a mark along His flank.

Z'fer and Calanoth // Burn Post
~ Storm Riders fly well, minor scoring. ~ Calanoth reported to Moriath and the rest of the Wingleaders. He had reason to be proud of his wing, even the youths. So far it seemed he'd taken the worst hit.
Z'fer had him send the fall for fresh stone sacks. ~ Tell the riders to stock up, this looks like it might be short but it will be thick. If any are tiring or injured let them call their replacements now.~ Z'fer waited for Calanoth to relay his message back and for the supply riders to transfer stone. It was a dangerous job, especially for new riders.
~ How's Hekate and Devith?~
