"Exactly!" She nods, a few strands of hair coming loose from her bun as she did so. Quickly, she tucked them behind her ear, not about to let them get in the way of the rather delicious looking contents of the package. "Ah! This isn't just cake! This is a feast!" She protests, having not expected much. "You're spoiling me rotten, both of you. I'll just have to make sure to get my revenge sooner or later." It takes a while for her to decide what to eat first, slightly biting the bottom of her lip as her stomach lets out an order for a quicker decision. Flushing in embarrassment, she finally picks one up and takes a rather hearty bite, listening in closely to the two brothers chatter. It takes her several more moments to chew and swallow, aided by a sip of her own tea, before she can answer. "Tom's? Ah yes, I've always been meaning to head that way! I usually end up spending most of my coin at the bookstores down the way. At this point, I think I could start a library out of my bedroom." She gives a slight laugh, though it's in no way an exaggeration. "A man from Aireland? Now that's something you don't see everyday. And it seems like Unwanted likes to get in to places to live up to his name, hmm? Does Unwelcome also get into a bit of trouble?" The smith gets up for a brief moment to escort Last's tea to him, smiling rather quietly as it's delicately set to the table at his side. On her way back to her own seat, there's a far more subtle strut to her gait, and she knows damn well one of the men will pick up on it, likely the one who's been there the longest. "I get all sorts of interesting folk in here, noblewomen, nursemaids....Farmers too. Blind girl was in here a while back, needing her saw sharpened. But I'd have to say the first guardian I met besides my own belonged to an herbalist I had written." Rosalie shrugged, returning to the meal.

"Oh, she ain't had much of a chance yet," First cheerfully tells Rosalie, regarding his rook in a much more pleasant fashion now that he's about to wrap himself around the outside of a meal. "Mostly she's after Unwanted, although sometimes she's away for hours, then comes back with silver coins."
" .. only silver," Last mumbles, mentally catching up with the current conversation after having all ability at thought once more destroyed by the sway of Rosalie's hips. He clears his throat, takes a small swallow of tea, and continues. "Never copper or gold, dunno why."
"Once she came back fussing, all in a panic," First recounts with a grin, "covered in flour. Couldn't get her to tell me what she'd been at, but I figure she'd been trying to steal something in a bakery and gotten her comeuppance for it."
Across the smithy, Unwelcome fluffs her feathers up with annoyance, plainly understanding that she is being spoken of and not at all liking the tone of the conversation. Meanwhile Unwanted has decided that Rosalie is likely to be the softest touch, and approaches her gingerly, pushing his head towards her hand in the hopes that she will give him some of the pastry.

"Ah, only silver ones? Maybe she thinks they're more suited to her lovely complexion." The smith laughs, "Ah, I wonder where she finds them. Though I'm sure there's enough loose coinpurses or pockets for her to sneak in to..." Ah yes, she knows the rook is crafty, especially as she fluffs up. "Aww, you've made her all upset." "Aww, poor girl all covered in flour? No pretty lady deserves that, now does she?" She cooes at the lovely rook, noting that Shuu is doing his best to calm her down, preening nonetheless at her feathers. "Except if she works hard for it hmm? And shows all those silly boys that she can do things better, right~?" There's a slight twinkle in her eye, which could be taken as danger. It stops when Unwanted nudges her hand, and she snaps back to the young guardian. "Oh, you're hungry aren't you? Thinking the smith will pity you, aren't you?" She pets the top of his head, raising an eyebrow with a smirk. "And I suppose I could spare a little...All the more room for the sweets~." She tears off a little of her own pastry, holding it out to him in an open palm. "I can't say my rook is as smart as that. Seems he has quite the charm from the way he's courting your lady." She briefly glances at the two brothers, then back up to the rafters at the two rooks. "Of course she is simply stunning."

"Too clever for her own good, most days," First grumbles of his rook, which is quite true; she has been found in just as many troublesome places as little Unwanted, for while she is better at getting out of those places, she is also capable of getting places that Unwanted simply can't reach. But for all his irritation, he is not immune to flattery, and after a surprised glance at Rosalie, First will regard her with a sudden flush of pleasure. He plainly hadn't expected her compliment. " .. well," he mutters, "I rather like to think so." Then he snatches one of the heartier pastries and bites determinedly into it to avoid having to say anything else. And all of Unwelcome's feathers smooth down after he's spoken, and she gives her hedge-witch a long, thoughtful look as if he has done something unexpectedly interesting. When she is certain that he is not looking she will look at Rosalie, quite as cleverly as a little child, and bob her head as if in thanks. Then she will turn back to Shuu, responding to his preening as if they had never been interrupted in the first place. Unwanted ignores all of this, and eats a bit messily from her palm, eagerly vacuuming up the crumbly treat with his little tail flipping back and forth behind him. Last just shakes his head at the silly little thing, breaking off a bit of another pastry to offer it to Unwanted as soon as he is through. "Greedy-guts. Let the lady have her own meal!"

"Oh really? At least she's kind enough to fetch coins for you." She laughs lightly, noticing his flush with a sly smile. "I wish my own would get off his lazy perch and go do something useful. I have to wonder if he'll even come and fetch me if there's a burglar, after today's fiasco. But I suppose he found your boy no threat~." Rosalie simply beams at how smart Unwelcome is, and is exceptionally happy with how well the two are getting along. "Aww, what a pair of lovebirds, those two. Makes me feel a bit foolish for turning away every single one who came..." She pauses briefly, then glances at her forge. "Then again they all wanted me to quit working the forge and come be a housewife. Nope, don't regret it~." She hums, finishing off the rest of her pastry, an easier task now that Unwanted has finished part of it. "They may come bearing flowers or rings, but not one has told me I can continue working. The nerve!" "Oh he's fine. He's a growing boy after all, and I doubt I could finish this all in one sitting....Plus I have a bit of a sweet tooth, I'll admit it." She's quick to open the lower compartment, eying the sweeter side of the gift from the Freds. "Ah...Though this will prove a formidable foe."
