While he was being held down, Shun took another flurry of strikes. He most certainly was bleeding now. Gritting his teeth, he coughed as he was finally released, staggering a little as he tried to recover. Looking over towards the side, he tried to see where Xiu was. It looked like she was up against a wall now. So things were not in their favor currently... Hissing under his breath, he just lashed out at the tonfa hunter to try and put some distance between the two of them so he could get a little more time to recouperate. HP: 13 Target: Jake Damage: 1

In which Syu buries her face in her hands and makes Wilson accidentally hit Jake. I mean what. /A
"As if I had the luxury to choose what kind of weapon I fight with," he muttered as he filled the room with more gas.
Too bad Jake was the closest one to Wilson.

The reaper's attack had been light, but when Jake was about to retaliate, he got a face full of gas instead.
Sputtering, he quickly covered his face with his sleeve, glaring at the death hunter.
"Watch where you aim that damn thing or I'll puncture those cannons myself." he growled.
It was official. Wilson had gone absolutely insane.
Jake turned his gaze back on the reaper. He didn't have TIME for this. If he didn't take care of at least ONE of these people, he was going to be killed. He couldn't depend on Wilson anymore, not like he had been in the first place.
De-summoning the tonfas, he pulled out the runic dagger tucked in his belt, slashing down at the reaper.
If he was going to go down fighting, so be it.

She noticed a burst of gas being released nearby, managing to duck away in time before it reached her. Unfortunately for the other Hunter, it seemed that he had been caught up in the attack.
Xiu waited for a bit before venturing forward, searching for the the masked Hunter until--ah ha, a silhouette! Lunging forward, she reached out to grab the figure by the front of his shirt with more strength than one would expect from someone her size, only to realize that the figure she had grabbed was, once again, not the Hunter she had been seeking, but the other one.
Cursing loudly, she considered attacking him to satiate her growing anger and frustration, but resisted and chose to throw him to the side.
HP: 25/120

Since the hunters were a little caught up for the moment, Shun just took the time to reach into his pocket and ate a piece of candy. He hated that he needed to resort to this. Clearly he had been slacking in his training as of late. HP: 50 Target: self Item: Using one candycane. 2x remaining ever.

Wilson turned toward Jake. "How about you act like a good death hunter and dodge it?" he snapped.
As Jake was tossed to the side, Wilson swept in and pushed the girl back.

Between being shoved around and gassed, ON TOP of having to deal with the reaper, Jake was not a happy camper.
"Oh yah? Why don't I go gas your face and have you trying to dodge that?"
Not noticing that the reaper had eaten something during their bickering, he glared at Wilson once more before turning back towards the reaper.
Part of him really just wanted to punch Wilson in the face, and another part wanted to attack Xiu instead. Really, he just wanted to kill everyone right now. He hated you all.
Instead, he lunged at the reaper, but using the artifact had drained his energy, and he ended up missing.

There was really nothing that had to be--or should be--said. Maybe she was disoriented, or maybe she was tired (or maybe the dice gods up above were simply laughing). Between the poison and the rage, things were starting to get really confusing for the baku.
As a result, when she swung out wildly in an attempt to find the Hunter, she only struck air.

The hunters were still bickering, which was fine with him. The candy had refreshed him, healing the wounds he had sustained in this battle. Shun let out a slow breath, regaining his focus, and it was then that he saw the tonfas coming at him again. He managed to get out of the way in time, also noticing the sillouette of Xiu attacking wildly in the fog. "Xiu, focus," he said sternly, then turned back towards Jake to make a quick sweep, attempting to knock him down. HP: 50 Target: Jake Damage: 2

If only Jake could have seen the unimpressed look on Wilson's face. He would have gestured to his freaking gas mask but decided that the fact was so blatant he didn't need to point it out.
As he searched through the gas, he tried to hit the girl again, but hit the reaper instead.

There was so much gas and mist, his visibility was pretty much zero.
He had heard the reaper's voice, and though attack was light, it made him stumble, bumping into someone.
Paranoia getting the better of him, he swung the blade towards the figure, stopping mid-way when he realized it was the baku.
"Damn it all..." he growled.

She froze at Shun's words. For a moment, she felt a flare of irritation at the fact that he was giving her--what was in her mind--an order, but the lingering part of her that remained level headed simply took a deep breath and pushed aside her more negative thoughts, if only temporarily. He was right--she need to focus, she needed to slow down and pay attention and--
--And it was really hard to focus on that when her mind kept flashing red, urging her to strike out at whoever was closest whether it be friend or foe. She resisted for now, but eventually...

Xiu was still struggling it seemed. And so was the tonfa hunter. Shun poised himself to strike, watching and listening to the smokey figures in the miasma. It was then that he took a rather powerful blast of the gas directly. The sudden burst caught him off guard, and he found himself coughing violently as he was gagging on the noxious fumes, keeping him from striking at the blue haired one for now.
