Saya switched her weapon to her other hand, using the blade of her crossbow weapon instead.
It made a world of difference, the blade slashing cleanly through one of the monsters.
"One down, a few left to go!" Saya's relieved voice, seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

A furry tail brushed past Saya's leg, only Prompto's mind-breaking yell in her head startled her into getting away.
Legs are a hunter's best weapon, get them injured and you're out of commission.
The words echoed under the loud heartbeat in her ears, her fingers gripping her sword tightly in frustration.
"I'm sorry Jason. If only I was more accurate in hitting them, you wouldn't have to defend me so much."

He was happy for Sayaka's sucees when she hit them, and just as sympathetic when she was missed them the next time. "It's no problem at all; they are small and hard to hit, especially with a crossbow." As if to prove his statement, a few of them jump over his sword as he swung. "...Or with a sword for that matter." It didn't matter how many times they missed, he was still going to keep defending. At least there wasn't so many of them now. There was a low hum before Solia shot at the so called puppies. “Out of all things I’m confused why a halloweener would use BestBuy as a frost to selling these things.” One thing that took a nice bite out her leg. “Augh ********! If one is alive when this is all over I’m putting it in a box and taking it back to Mark god damn ********-“ A string of curses began to come out in French.

In a different tactic, several arrows flew past both trainees, all at once, using up a good chunk of Saya's arrows. But she figured, the more the better right?
Apparently, in this case, that was proven true.

One of Saya's arrow hit the very last flesh eating puppy.
Sorry Solia, looks like you weren't getting one to return home with. Except a dead body or two. Saya threw her arms up in the air, as the last one hit the ground.
She wanted to cheer and high five all of the team but she realized, the mission wasn't quite done yet.

Sayaka wasn't the only one throwing her hands up in the air like you just didn't care . Jason fist bumped the air once the last fleshing eating puppy was gone, happy that their foe was defeated. "WOOO!" He shouted. But like his comrade he came to the conclusion that they still needed to get a TV. Not to mention that Solia wanted to take one of them home. "Ah..." He calmed down while looking at Solia a little awkwardly. "I'm...sure we'll find puppies on another mission..." or some minipet like them that wasn't as disturbing.

If the trainees were expecting some sort of reward or prize for their hard word, they were to be sorely disappointed. The much, much, larger pile of unopened boxes burst open as hundreds of flesh eating puppies rained down on them, making the scene look somewhat like-
- Only a little more gruesome on the trainee's part. And a lot more flesh eating, as the creatures tried to gnaw on anything even remotely soft or lumpy.
The amount grew and grew and grew until there seemed there was only one single option left, short of death by flesh-eating puppies-
- Run for their lives. No really, book it. OOC: ESCAPING - Your character needs to take out as many of these as they can to escape! - Simply roll a 6-sided dice. IF odd you escape! If even you get trapped and you will need to roll until you escape out of this godforsaken strange Best Buy reality

Jason had forgotten that he was among the company of young ladies, especially one such lady he was trying to be more man like, and preceded to scream like a little girl as he was covered in a mound of flesh eating puppies.
Zanth just sighed and chastised him for being a p***y while he flailed and kicked at the evil menances.

Finally Jason realized that it might be a good idea to haul his a** out of the pile of death, so with his sword he began to cut himself a path. Though it took a bit and he was sure his coat and most of his clothes were already eaten away, the moon trainee managed to pull himself out of the pile and ran like his life depended on it
Because it really did.

She nodded at Jason somewhat frantically as he asked about the French. “O-Yes.” As Sayaka killed the last puppy, she sighed heavily. Maybe next time. She could have her attack dog another day. She was about to say how yeah it was time to get the TV when suddenly.
Puppies.
Puppies.
EVERYWHERE.
And they were the not trained flesh eating kind too. Screaming, Solia didn’t even hesitate before she was cursing in French, (again), and running.
Life was too anime for her.

The portal had never looked quite lovelier to the fleeing trainees as they finally made their way out back to the entrance, away from the rather demonic Best Buy - though if one really thought about it, the trainee Hunters, meant to be protecting Humanity from the forces of evil, had just left everyone in the Best Buy as victims to the terrible flesh eating puppies.
Some Death Division lead was probably going to receive a report sometime later about flesh-eating puppy deaths.
Thankfully that was none of the trainees' business for now as they pretty much popped back into the lighthouse portal, where Mark was waiting for them. He beamed at them, which slowly turned into a sort of suspicious frown. "I'm going to guess that my flat screen TV is either really flat or you guys didn't bring me back one." He gave them all the suspicious eye.
