The mare blinked, felt herself relax a lot more and laughed a bit in response. "Yer adorable." She said, pausing long enough to let him catch up so that they could walk side-by-side. Admittedly, she really wanted to make sure he wouldn't somehow wander off the path due to some sort of distraction.
"Try not to let anything fool yah in here. Or the rest of the forest really. The animals...things on the ground..." Staccato glanced down at the path, falling silent as she considered things.
"Yah know...I don't know if I said it already, but yer the first who's been able to put with me. Thank yeh."

Green cheeks turned a little red at the sound of that and for a moment he was quiet, just bathing happily in the warmth of knowing that the mare thought that way about him. Of course for Coconut, silence was not long lasting and he said; 'Well, I mean if I stick by your side that won't happen right?' he nodded to himself more than anything, determined that the mare he'd nicknamed 'flumblebee' wou'dn't spend much time apart from him, for more than safeties though.
'But I'll try not to do anything really dumb.' he said with a short nod, and then replied. 'Likewise. I'm thankful to have met you as well..and that my talking to the fish didn't make you just walk on by when you first saw me.' he chuckled.

"I think I mentioned that I did consider just going about my business and ignoring yah before...but...yah have spirit. Personality...character...all sorts of other things."
She raised her head again to look back at him once more. "Good things. I figure any gal would want yah, if they weren't so intimidated by the talkin' to fish and all."
The mare then laughed and nudged against him, her wings buzzing excitedly.

Coconut took that in quietly. Had she decided to do so, she would have probably gained a not-so silent shadow that would have followed her from a distance, chattering as he went.
'Well, I'm glad you changed your mind.' was his only reply, as he wasn't sure how she'd take him telling her that he had planned on just following her around regardless.
He smiled happily at the little nudge, watching her quick moving wings again, and gently nudged her back.
'Does that include you? I mean..you're not, well, you don't mind my, umm quirks.' he chuckled.

Staccato chuckled again, blissfully unaware of his original plans to probably follow her anyway. "Well if I didn't mind yer quirks, that would just go right along with ignoring yah and sending yah off, right?" She asked, tilting her head towards him again. "I suppose this also goes along with yah not minding who I am...and in the end my family."
She still had to admit she was slightly worried about how he would interact with each member of her family as he was able to meet them. In turn...how would they exactly react to him?
After a distance, Staccato eventually stopped and glanced up at the treetops in thought. "Mmn... must be gettin' late. Has today really gone by already?" She asked, turning her attention back to Coconut. "Well, either way my little grove isn't too much further along tha path. We can stop fer the night and yah can get settled here. See how comfortable yah are in the forest."

Coconut nodded. He guessed that made sense. She accepted him, he accepted her. Was that the basis of a relationship, liking someone despite what they might think of as their flaws?
He too was slightly concerned about meeting her family, especially her mother, but he hadn't lingered long on the thought as he preferred to think of things that made him smile. Like Staccato.
He nodded again, for once very quiet. Maybe he was tired? It had seemed like a long day..but also like the day had flown by in a happy haze.
'I think I could use some rest now, yes.' he said. It would be nice to spend the nighttime hours in somewhere that the mare called home. She would be comfortable and he would get to spend more time with her.
