"Sounds like a good plan. Nothing like spending quality time together." Terra purred with delight, picking up the glass that was slid in front of her.
Lifting it up she would join in the toast, then take a drink. Setting the empty glass down on the counter, she to glanced at Damon. "Sadly yes. He has yet to earn my approval." A look of disapproval flashed across her face as she studied the psion.

"Well, if that's the case, why don't I just cut to the chase and give you the rest of this damn bottle for to chug. Of course, that means I'll have to go back up to my room and get more, but I'll see if I can find any of our uncut shine..." With that, Thurgood leaves Darius to the 180 proof more-palatable stuff and see if they made it all more palatable. If memory serves him right, they didn't cut a few, and they're probably jugs 26 through 28 of both runs: the strongest part, which would be between 195.5 and 197 proof.

Arretsu "Yes I didn't expect for Thurgood to be up and around. But I also didn't know that you would be part of a tournament either. Imagine my surprise when Terra came prancing in with the news. And trust me Damon, she was practically skipping."
"I wouldn't doubt it."
Damon eyed Terra and Kuro, then turned his attention back to Ellie. "I should have told you I had signed up for the tournament. Kind of a spur of the moment thing, really. But I did leave you a note and a way to contact me." It seemed that Terra had stumbled upon it before Ellie had. Perhaps it would have been smarter for him to give the note off to a security guard, but he wanted her to be the first to know about it.
Turning to Aveline, Damon shook his head. "That's okay, I brought my own." What he brought wasn't alcoholic, it was the Everyflavor Water from the Black Sands. Now Damon wasn't the kind of guy that believed in signs or luck, but he figured he'd drink one glass before each round. If the taste was favorable he'd have a solid match, but if it was bad then the match he had best be careful.
Damon also never drank while in a competition, since it made his powers do strange things.
Looking back at Ellie, he smiled apologetically. "I'm gonna be more mindful of your feelings the next time I do something like this. Watching me fight in a tournament isn't something I'd think you were interested in. I'm in room one ten on the fifth floor, if you want to drop by and talk later."
Again he eyed Terra and Kuro, trying not to feel uncomfortable.

Sampling the fiery, sweet beverage, Cale savoured it for a moment and then sighed.
"Ah, that's the good stuff. You're a saint. An absolute saint."
She clearly thought that anyone who was handing out free booze must be pure of heart and not in the least suspect. She grabbed a second drink for Aetyra and brought it over to meet the woman half way.
"Here, its good stuff. And it only tastes even better because it's free."
Cale chuckled and then sat at the edge of the pool, dangling her legs into the shallow end and watching with amusement at the security guards approached the crazed fence-hating farmer.

Thanks to the low usage of a certain bank of elevators right now, thurgood was back up to his room to grab two jugs of the uncut shine, one of the cut, and he was back down in nearly-record time to give his competitors strong booze until they passed out somewhere strange after having pissed themselves, and Thurgood would be more than happy to keep them drinking his hootch.

Tyra tanked the shot, grimaced, and shot Thurgood a wry look as he returned.
"It's strong, but this sugary crap in it is not helping. We're going to need a lot more..."
She winked at Cale, who was well ahead of her, it seemed. "Right, hun?" The death knight settled down next to her, glancing down every now and again at the form of the massive stone still submerged below them. She pointed at it, refilled shot glass in hand. "We might end up having to help them lift that out..."

By the time Aetyra had finished her drink, Cale had done the same. She looked refreshed, and so far the drink didn't seem to be getting to her too much. Not yet, anyway.
"Ohh yeah, we're gonna need way more than this. And they're definitely gonna need help."
Cale chuckled, also looking down at the heavy millstone in the water and then glancing back up at the hotel staff present.
"Those guys definitely don't look like they could lift it anyway."

"...not that I'm going to." Aetyra laughed. She walked over and relieved Thurgood of one of his jugs and brought it back over to their little poolside party within a party.
Pouring Cale and herself yet another round, she smirked. "You know what's a shame? There's no decent men around. That Marx guy was a total douche." She arched her back, stretching. "It's not as fun, y'know?"

"I thought the sugar and juice would reduce the burn of the ethanol a bit, but I guess you like it like that," Thurgood says to Aetyra as she takes one of his uncut jugs, "How 'bout I get you ladies a couple of pint mugs?" Apparently Thurgood isn't a decent man...

Growling in irritation, she tried to shake off the annoying feeling Darius's energy always caused. Her cold glare fell back on Damon, arms folding across her chest. "You are really inconsiderate." She snapped. The more she looked at him, the angrier she felt. Part of being a couple usually consisted of telling your spouse if you planned something, asking what he/she felt about it, and telling that person personally not with notes.
Tears began to form in her eyes, "I wouldn't have minded you joining, but if you tell me something through notes one more time I will kick your a**. At the moment you are just as bad as Darius."
Terra had been watching, eyes peering at the two over the rim of her glass and when Ellie compared Damon to Darius she choked. Coughing, she tried to not laugh.

Most of the fighters were all out and enjoying themselves, getting drunk and relaxing, and here Damon was being grilled by his fiance. A few people glanced in their direction and awkwardly looked on. The biggest blow was him being compared to Darius. Now that was just a low-blow.
When Ellie finished, Damon stood there and looked at her in silence.
Finally he found words.
"It was inconsiderate of me, and I should have just spoken to you directly. I'm sorry."[/'b]
Damon meant what he said, because he felt lying was a waste of time. It created a more complex problem, and keeping things simple was easier. There was one thing he had to say though. "I am nothing like Darius." His muscles tensed a bit when he said this, but not in a threatening way. He just hated that man, if you could call him that.
"Wanna get something to drink with me?"

Lips pursed into a thin angry line, Ellie wiped the tears from her eyes with a thumb, and just nodded. Turning, she made her way to the bar, and took a seat beside Terra.
Terra was already a little tipsy, the alcohol that Thurgood had brought was incredibly potent stuff. "Hmm...must remember to visit them more often." She mumbled, then glanced over at Ellie. "Oh don't be so upset. Maybe you can ask Darius here to give him a good a** kicking. Would that make you feel better?"
Ellie just sighed, and motioned for the barkeep. "Just...water." The bar tended nodded, and went to get what she requested.

As if Darius could fight his way out of a wet paper bag.
Damon let out a sigh and walked behind Ellie, sitting beside her at the bar. "I'll have a regular soda." He sat in silence as he waited for his drink, wondering if he should say something or just let things be.
One sip into his drink and something immediately popped into his mind. The bottle of Everyflavor Water in his room. Perhaps he could let Terra have a sip of that?
Nah... that might be kind of mean.
"I love you, Ellie."
The words came out genuinely and... abruptly. Even Damon was kind of surprised at himself.

Darius didn't exactly enjoy the comparison to that pompous psion, attempting to whore himself out for attention whether it was being the triumphant hero or the knight in shining armor. Overall a cliche in his mind, immersed in this excellent concoction that Thurgood manufactured to whip the asses of other drinks of an alcoholic nature. He snickered under his glass at the turmoil, mostly occupied with the shots with this stranger whom seem intrigued by him.

A refreshing breeze carried the scent of alcohol and chlorine through the air. It was a peculiar mixture that fought against all good sense, but seemed to fit perfectly the jovial atmosphere. There was a constant murmur of indistinguishable voices, occasionally overpowered by obnoxious laughter and loud splashes. The air buzzed with excitement, and rightfully so, the violence was slated begin soon.
High above the party, on the balcony of her penthouse suite, Rosalyn gazed out at the dimming sky. The amalgam of the natural twilight and artificial light keeping the pool area bright was unusually pretty.
A loud, unsettling scream reverberated off the walls and immediately drew Rosalyn's curiosity. It was followed by laughter from a group lounging around the bar where a girl giggled as she playfully fought off the advances of another guest. Rosalyn whipped her tail and scoffed, tilting her head back as she brought the glass she held by the stem to her lips and poured the remainder of the deep red wine into her mouth.
A sudden rapping caught Rosalyn by surprise and she peered over her shoulder through the dark room and at the door. Her lips turned upwards into a smirk. She rolled her shoulders and pushed herself off of the balcony railing standing upright. There was no sense of urgency when she went to answer the door. She wanted to savor every moment of this. Her meal had just arrived.
