The flames in Sammy's eyes dimmed, flickering into tiny little orbs before flaring back to normal. She was worried now. A lot more worried. Siddie didn't change back, she was still on her hooves and it worried Sammy to no end. The thought of going to Cricket made things even worse, what if she told Red? That wouldn't do her any good with either teacher, and worse what if they couldn't fix it?
"Y-yeah maybe... maybe we should just wait, for today at least, and see what happens?" She looked to Calder shrugging, it was Siddie's choice if she wanted to walk somewhere. Right now Sammy wanted to crawl under a pile of tree roots near by and just re-die all over again.

"I guess we can wait," Siddie said, raising her head and trying to keep herself from looking so unhappy. Sammy already felt bad enough. It occurred to her that if they did have to go to the nurse, Sammy might get in trouble over it, too, and that was the last thing Siddie wanted to happen. It had been an accident. She looked to Calder, a little guiltily. "It's - it's not so bad, right?" She hoped she hadn't offended him. This was natural for Calder, and having her acting like it was the worst thing in the world might have hurt his feelings. "Let's - let's walk. Do you know a nice place?"

"Yup. We can go to my garden." She said, flicking her tail as she turned about and looked back. "It's this way." She informed them both, and not sure if Sammy was riding or walking, she took it at a slow trot as she moved through the woods with all the familiarity and sure-footedness of someone who spent a lot of time by herself here.
Smiling, she couldn't help but look back at Sammy. "You're coat is very pretty." Yes. Calder was being a tad envious. It was so rich and black. She wanted her black coat soon.
It took no time to get to the garden, separated into two areas. "That one over there is ...uh, someone who doesn't like people knowing he grows stuff. This plot is mine." Calder said, turning in front of a row of various plants. "There's carrots and carrots and some things for tea and flowers and I tried growing sugar cubes but it didn't work." He looked at a patch of grass that he had buried a few sugar cubes a long time ago.
"You can have a carrot if you want."

Waiting was all she could hope for, it had been fifteen maybe twenty minutes. Something like this wouldn't just change back in a minute or something. She grew quiet as they walked hands stuffed in her jacket pockets head bowed in a bit of shame.
Eventually they arrived to the gardens, Sammy looked up running her bone fingers through her hair moving along to inspect the garden more closely pausing to look at Siddie again vs Calder. Siddie did have a very nice coat. Glistening really.
Crouching down she grabbed the nearest carrot tugging it up offering it to Siddie with a shrug.

Siddie followed, trying to think positively. It wasn't so bad, really, right? If she had to stay like this she should get used to it. "Thank you," she said softly in response to the compliment.
"I like your garden," she said when they got there, nosing around curiously. "Oh, is that part Barth's?" She nibbled on the carrot Sammy offered her, grateful that her ghoulfriend had gotten it for her; she was a little hungry, but without hands pulling up a carrot would have been difficult. "Thank you. This is really good."

Calder let out a whinny of a laugh. "Barth - gardening? As if! No. It's another boil." She pawed her hoof on the ground before pulling up a carrot with her teeth and ate that before moving to the side, dropping down, and rolling on her back.
"There is a stream nearby too. It's very nice." She said, head upside down as she rolled back and forth a few times.
"How are you two? I haven't talked to you both in a while." Seeing as they were all involved in this little lie between them and Barth, she felt she should be talking to them more and more. Her last conversation with Siddie hadn't exactly been smooth. She still felt awkward around her.

Fingers of bone moved through Siddie's curly mane once more as she munched on the carrot she tried not to think what would happen if this became a long term situation. "Hey anything for you Sid..."
Suddenly Calder was in the dirt squirming and rolling in the grass asking how the two of them had been. Sammy pondered the question and finally offered a shrug. "Red hates me pretty much right now, my ghoulfriend is a horse, and I'm having slight issues with deciding what to do with my life at this current time because I'm trying not to freak the Jack out over my ghoulfriend right now."
She raised an eyebrow, "How bout you seaweed? Keeping Barth in order when his fiance is busy?"

Siddie nudged Sammy, sighing. Sammy was always so blunt. Couldn't they pretend to have a civil conversation for a few minutes, maybe not talk about problems? "We're all busy," she said, and eyed the grass. It looked soft and inviting.
Cautiously, she flopped down into the grass, wriggling around. It felt good. "This is nice," she ventured.

"Barth is fine. We're trying to figure out what to do after graduation and a few things with a friend." They were deciding how to free Christof from his master, but that was a rather personal problem for the Igor. They were still figuring out other things. "Barth and I were talking where we wanted to move. We're gonna live together!" She declared, all too giddy.
Rolling back onto her stomach, she watched Siddie roll about. "You should try the stream nearby. It's cool against your flank after running. I like it!" Of course she liked anything with water.
Rising up, Calder moved to Sammy to nibble her shoulder and then bounce his cheek against her head. "Siddie will be fine. It will get fixed." He said to her.

"Oh, that sounds wonderful," Siddie replied, grateful that Calder hadn't taken offense. Then again, he knew Sammy too; he should know by now that that was just Sammy being Sammy. Siddie flopped back onto her side, lifting her head briefly to peer at the other two. "So where were you thinking? Sammy, we should totally think about that too, shouldn't we? You're probably going to graduate before me, but I'm getting along well in my classes. We won't be in school forever."

"Graduation.... crap I forgot we have to worry about that..." She ran a hand through her hair realizing it was just another list of things to do or deal with on top of all the other things they faced. She frowned just a bit at the talk of moving, "What does that mean for us though? I mean... Siddie's engaged and all to Barth because of the families...." She felt like a third wheel again suddenly and was already pondering all the things that this could do to their already awkward relationships only to be brought out by Calder nibbling at her shoulder.
"Eh huh? Yeah... I know..." More like she hoped.
Turning to look at Siddie she frowned a bit pondering things again. "I... I don't know I'd need work or a job or something, I don't have family we could live with and Red..." She quickly grew quiet again eyes dimming as she stared at the ground awkwardly.

Calder trotted back a few steps and sat, thinking with them. Then, with a smile (or one a horse could give), she looked up. "You can live with us! Barth and I are going to get a castle and it's going to be a castle so lots of rooms. All my scarlings won't need all the rooms cause that would probably be a lot. And Christof and Amrita will be there. I think. They should. There will be plenty of room!" Calder should have talked this with Barth first before inviting people, but considering it would be THEIR castle, he felt she had half the say.
"You can get your own part of the castle and do whatever you want."

Siddie got carefully to her feet and moved to nuzzle at Sammy's cheek reassuringly. "After school it won't matter any more, we can break it off amicably, and then it won't matter if my parents kick me out, because I'll be moving out anyway, right?" Sometimes she wished her parents saw who she was instead of who they wanted her to be, but she was coming to accept that that wasn't happening.
"A castle would be nice," she said, but cautiously, looking to Sammy for her response. Sammy was proud. She might not like the suggestion.

Sammy still felt awkward, it passed a bit as Siddie rubbed her cheek against her own, but she still felt sorely out of place about the whole ordeal. Reaching up she brought a hand to the other side of Siddie's cheek holding her closer as she rubbed her own face against Siddie's with a sigh.
"Yeah, when we get out it might not matter but a matter of finding a home... that still will." She looked at Calder again shrugging a bit, "I guess... that could work I don't know. it's still a ways off."

"Yay! That's great. Hope you don't mind scarlings cause I'm having LOTS!" She chimed, rising up and moving over to nudge Siddie's side with her forehead. "Let's go swimming!"
