I'm going out with a guy who's a year older than me and my ex was a year younger. I think the experience I had with my ex has put me off younger guys, not that I ever plan to break up with my current boyfriend.

well, it's not ideal for me, but if I really like the guy, then i'll be okay with it. And only a few years younger... Not too young, or i'll feel old lolz ^.^

I've never really had much of a preference on age, I just always end up liking men that are older than me. That might also be because people who are younger than me I never seem to get along with. I have no idea why. I like maturity and intelligence, so I suppose that's why I like older men, not saying that younger people can't be the same, because I know full well they can be. It's just so hard to find those few nowadays. Lol. ( I always make myself sound so old. x-x )

Age was never an important factor in a potential mate for me. That being said, I only dated someone younger than me once and it was a disaster! I'm sure it's only a coincidence though ~

nope. definitely not. .most boys are immature enough and someone younger than me would be a tragedy. I like a guy who is mature, can handle things and make good decisions for us.

depends on how much younger. It also depends on the guy. I never dated a guy more then a year behind me. I personally think it all depends on the guy.

XxAriaxX Would you date a younger person than you ? If yes, how ''much'' younger ? A few months, 1 year, 2, 3, (...) ? Many girls think that younger guys are more immature so that's why we like to date older men xd . I don't think I would feel attracted to a guy younger than me. I don't want to look like the big sister... Yeah... Ok.. Age isn't an issue unless one or both are under age. That being said, I met my boyfriend via gaia. I'm 26, but I look like I'm 16-18ish.. He's 19, nearly 20 and looks it. When we realized our ages, we were slightly concerned but that didn't stop the romance.. We are nearly six years apart. As far as looking like the big sister, if we were worried, we probably would be more worried about him looking too much older.. LOL My ex was half a year older than me and was a lot more immature than my current boyfriend. And if you believe in past lives, during a rather intimate moment, we both had flashbacks of a past life.. ever since we've felt like we've awakened an even stronger bond towards each other. Age isn't exactly an issue so long as both parties are old enough to understand what's going on. Meaning.. both parties should be legal! lol

I'm not sure I would... I've always had rules for dating, and one of the staples is that the guy has to be older than me. I'm not really sure why I care so about that, but I do.. He also has to be taller than me. I would feel so weird dating a guy 5"5' or shorter xd

I would date someone two years younger or older than me. I don't really like someone more or less experienced than me but I don't expect to find someone RIGHT on my birthday lol. So as close to my age, the better, I don't care if it is the younger or older part.
Advantages of someone older(usually) pirate : Wiser, more experienced, has already put more of their life together.
Advantages of someone younger(usually) blaugh : More active, sillier and more fun, more innocent with their relationships, usually more open to ideas
However, everyone is different!
Advantages of someone YOUR AGE: Going through the same things, can equally support each other, both in the same boat.
I think the stigma of younger guys (verses older guys) is silly.

MiracleRayray2 depends on how much younger. It also depends on the guy. I never dated a guy more then a year behind me. I personally think it all depends on the guy. I have to agree. Some guys are more mature than others, but it's safe to say that most of the time younger guys aren't all that mature
