((Sorry sorry sorry, I just noticed this was one short as counting. ;; ))
Nguvu smiled. Maybe they weren't too bad after all. It was probably just that one chick that as a little, headstrong... And if the other adults were not concerned, then there was no need for his concern either. He knew he certainly had a tendency to become overprotective.
He supposed it gave him a purpose though, a drive. He didn't have this feeling when he was a rogue, and only had to fend for himself.
The huge lion watched all the mud-marked cubs move forward one by one and eventually, another vulture found one of the cubs it deemed suitable. He gave a deep laugh. So was life. You spent the entire time trying to impress people, just in order to look after them.It reminded him a little of his situation...

it had been a neat ceremony, and the first of its kind. Xatu liked being involved in it, and at least in part responsible for it. If he hadn't found his vulture companion there might not have been any fledglings in need of lion partners. He hoped that this would be the first of many vulture ceremonies to come. Xefo was an older bird, but who knew... If he didn't want to father more clutches his children might.
Xefo didn't think he'd ever be a father, but that was the life of an Enda. It was nice to be the sort-of-uncle to these feather balls.
Xefo nodded as one of his sons managed to pick a lion companion without further incident. His daughter had quite the temper, and it would hopefully help her in life. A bit of spunk was a good thing, and she'd just need to learn when enough was enough. She'd accomplish great things as long as she avoided getting eaten by one of these large cats. It could happen...
((Same here... One post short for breeding purposes))
