Naveen eventually stirred, blinking drowsily. He staggered to his feet, blearily inspecting his surroundings as if to remind himself where he was. When his gaze fell on Cynthia, his entire face lit up. "Good morning."
(( Yup. XD ))

Naveen's voice broke her out of her thoughts and she managed a soft smile for him. She didn't know why she felt so weird around him right now, she just knew she did.
"Good morning to you too, Nav,"Cynthia greeted.

Naveen walked over to her, inspecting her face. "How are you feeling?" Had she slept well? Did she get injured at all yesterday? His mind was throwing out one hundred questions, though his merchant's control kept him from asking all of them. What was with him lately? He'd never had this happen before. Cynthia was a customer and obviously treated kindly, but... something was different. Strange. He wasn't sure if it was a good thing or not.

Cynthia tried to think of a reply to that, wondering how she was going to tell him how she was feeling.
"I do not know why, but I am feeling very light headed this morning. Also, my hearts are pounding in my chest, which has never happened like this before,"Cynthia replied. She was wondering if she was sick or something.

Naveen frowned when she said she was light-headed. "Maybe you're just tired," he suggested, moving to her side. He felt his own heart pound, making him smile slightly as he spoke again. "I think your excessive heart-thumping is contagious," he teased.

Cynthia laughed lightly at that, a gentle smile playing across her lips.
"I suppose it must be, I can hear your heart. I do not think I am tired though, since I got plenty of sleep,"Cynthia replied.

Naveen's face lit up at her laugh. And that smile--he was a little surprised that the cave didn't melt like his heart did when she smiled. "... Hey... Cynthia?" Lightly touching his nose to her neck, he asked his question. "After this journey, would you... would you like to keep traveling with me?" His mind was furious with him when it caught up to what he'd said. The unauthorized question was forward and not one asked to a new customer who's deal was already set in stone. He drew his head away and averted his gaze. "I'm sorry. That was a bit forward..."

Cynthia was a little surprised by his question, but she really did not have to think about the question, her heart had already done so. She reached over and nosed his head up, letting him know she forgave him.
"I forgive you, even if there is no reason you really needed to apologize. Yes, I would very much like to continue traveling with me, if you can put up with my inexperienced self,"Cynthia answered, a twinkle in her eyes.

Naveen's gaze returned to hers, softening for a moment. Then his eyes danced with amusement at her words. "I think I can handle that. Inexperience is something easily remedied." Letting his side brush hers, he added, "It's a deal then. ... Which means if you disappear I will search every inch of this island to find you again." Was he... flirting? No, he couldn't be. Naveen didn't flirt. Especially not with his royal customer. He wasn't flirting with Princess Cynthia. And even more than that, he didn't get emotionally attached to his customer--not like this.

Cynthia giggled lightly at his words, nuzzling him gently with her shout as she thought of a reply.
"You know, I may have to disappear to test that declaration. I mean, would you really search every spot on this island if something happened to me?"Cynthia asked. She felt weird, as if this all seemed perfectly natural to her.

Naveen snorted his dislike of her 'testing' idea, but nuzzled her back almost automatically. He couldn't help actually taking Cynthia's question seriously. If she had disappeared, would he search everywhere for her? Every inch of the isle? "Yes," he replied softly. "Yes I would." And it wouldn't feel strange at all.

Cynthia leaned against him, laughing softly as he snorted about her testing idea.
"Alright, then I will not test the theory, will that make you feel better? I am glad you would search for me, Nav, it makes me feel better,"Cynthia smiled.

"Yes, it would." Naveen's head was spinning from all of these new reactions and sensations. These were uncharted waters for him; quite frankly, he felt as if he was the inexperienced one now. "Did your royal training by chance teach you about situations like this, Princess?" he murmured. Insane. They were both insane.

Cynthia thought back on her training, trying to remember if it covered something about this. She remembered learning about manners, about different languages, and also...she blushed as she just remembered something.
"If this is what I think it is, then we did cover this somewhat. Something about it being customary for a potential suitor to pass a test or at least declare his feelings,"Cynthia spoke quietly.

Suitor. The word stuck in his head. Suitor. Courtship. Mates.
What had he gotten into?
"... Ah." Naveen couldn't think of anything else to say for quite a while. After several minutes of silence, he spoke again. "... Did our quest for purple badgers count as passing a test, or do I have to declare my feelings?"
