Kindra
(tag to N'mol/Roscoe)

Kindra smiled her oh-so-sweet smile, the one that broke boy's hearts ... or used to, most knew better by now. She just smiled at N'mol, her eyes almost sparking at him, he wanted her to play the social Goldrider? .. fine. "Oh you know... i couldn't stay away" she said pleasantly enough but there was that sparkling undercurrent of... something else. "No, i don't believe you have but i do recognise a Benden face, even if i didn't remember his name" she glared at N'mol "Don't worry Roscoe, i'm sure your dragon will be in Suunath's clutch, Benden sticks together" she grinned, daring N'mol to argue, even if Roscoe didn't Impress, she was pretty sure that Benden's Weyrwoman's confidence would boost his hopes for other clutches.

M'lan
(tag to Tanya)

M'lan gleed a little when she promised to save him a bubbly pie at the next gather. He usually missed out due to Asoth wanting some thing or another, or at least, missed out on the good ones.

He was glad of a sympathetic ear, he'd get over it, he was fairly sure he was just getting echoes of Asoth's sulkiness. He chuckled at her "of course, Asoth is the best dragon ever" he said, only slightly sarcastically, "the big drama queen"....whoops, he'd said that aloud. Oh well, he liked Tanya and really did feel bad at forgetting her name. He was glad she remembered his but then, it was hard to forget someone that came and bothered the cooks every day.

He glanced towards where Tanya had been called from then gave her a big grin "You Tanya... are THE most wonderful lady ever" he said, his tone amused "If you can find me some nice juicy spiced wherry steaks?" he asked, practically drooling "perhaps some sweet roasted tubers if there's any?" he was hopeful, almost a little kid wanting something special. M'lan sure loved his food and if you were looking to make M'lan happy, just shove some good food in front of him.

Becka
(tag to Berath)

Becka caressed Berath's eyeridge softly as the Green spoke, she was such a comfort, Becka was sure the Green knew it too. "I'm glad it's less itchy Berath, and not as swollen? .. oh that's great" she said, gently moving around to take a look, she was no dragonhealer but it was looking so much better than it had.

She sighed when Berath asked about Rochelle, she really didn't want to be a tattle tail but... this was Berath, she could trust her.. or Berath would forget, so it was ok. She tried to remember exactly what it was Rochelle had said "Well she said she was willing to reconsider how much she wanted to even be bonded to a dragon if i didn't leave... and i only bumped into Carltis by mistake and Rochelle was there... i tried to say sorry to Carltis but... Shards Berath she's so horrible... why do so many people LIKE her?" she wondered out loud. "Carltis.. he just stood there.. he didn't even say anything Berath ... he just let her be all angry at me for no reason .. i only bumped him a little but she flipped like i'd gone and attacked her, then when i tried to be nice... " she sighed "It's ok Berath, i'd rather you didn't say anything to her... it would just give her something else to hate me for" she was grateful that Berath wanted to defend her but it really would probably make things much worse with Rochelle if Berath scolded her or something about it.

Narisa and Cepheith
[Tag to Hekate and Z'fer and Pipith... and several dragons xD ]

They had been running late from the get go. Okay correction: she had been running late. Narisa had been conflicted in coming. She hadn't wanted to leave her roommate alone, yet she knew that she'd be expected to be present tonight. Then there was the hassel of trying to find something to wear! It wasn't like she could just throw on her riding gear and show up. No, she had to look her part. So she'd taken the time to clean up and look nice. To look like a junior Weyrwoman.

You know you don't have to dress up just for that. Cepheith teased, knowing Hers just wanted the excuse to wear something nice.

Once ready, the two had appeared, Narisa taking up a place off to the side. She did not feel like having all eyes on her, though it was impossible not to have some eyes watching her. For safety precautions. Or something like that. She just sighed, listening to what the young weyrling said in her speech. The Goldrider clapped politely like everyone else, impressed by Hekate's speech. She was not sure if that was how the young girl actually felt or not, as she recalled some of the things she'd been informed of regarding the pair. But tonight, so long as no trouble was roused, Narisa didn't care much. She just wanted to be... Narisa. Not the junior Weyrwoman Narisa.

Prowling around the outskirts where the other dragons seemed to have gathered, Cepheith rumbled. You will always be my Narisa.

~ I know, dear one.~ Narisa sent fondly back to her dragon.

She knew Hers wanted to enjoy the evening. So Cepheith took it upon herself to seek out someone for her rider to enjoy the company of. While offering her greetings to familiar dragons. Hello, Plexith. Calanoth. She dipped her head in turn to each Bronze. Aerith! I hope you and yours are well? The Gold added, spotting the small white form closer to the humans. Suunath! Tyeth! I'm happy to see you both here. Cepheith said cheerfully, adding an affectionate croon for Suunath. Finally her prowling brought her to a familiar dragon form and instantly, that mischief meter in her sparked. Pipith. I hope you do not mind if I join you? And yours should find mine!

Oblivious to what her dragon was up to, Narisa made her way over to Hekate and... Z'fer. Fardles, why did he have to be there too! It wasn't her fault if her cheeks were a little red being in his presence. "Hekate. Z'fer." She gave each a small bow. "Congratulations, rider. You made an excellent speech." Narisa smiled to the girl. "And I have no doubt you'll make an excellent Wingrider as well." Congrats made, the junior Weyrwoman excused herself to find someplace she could sit and not draw too much attention to herself.

Kodi

She was... still very knew to all of this. They Weyr. The dragons. All of it! But it... was exciting! Very very exciting. The candidate cheered and clapped with the rest of them after Hekate's speech. She did not know the weyrling, but that had been a sharding good speech! And now the celebration had really begun! She sat at one of the tables, surrounded by people she didn't know, which made her quiet. Kodi was a shy one, until you got her going. It was nice just listening to all the laughter and excitement though!

Dezima and Microth
[Tag to Halith]

That speech. Was amazing. Dezi didn't know the girl (or her dragon) but shards that had been an awesome speech! She clapped and whooped with the loudest of them before settling back in her seat. She grabbed her cup of wine, taking a sip and grinning everyone around her. Clearly, her spirits were bright tonight!

It is a nice evening to have a party. And a good excuse to relax. Microth told Hers, lounging somewhere among the other dragons. She had a few minor threadscores healing, but aside from the occasional irritating itch, the Green forgot about them. Turning her pleasantly blue gaze to one of the dragons she was lounging near, Microth crooned a greeting to Halith. Hello there! I am Microth. Are you enjoying the evening so far?

[Rochelle, tag Carltis]

Despite her intense fondness for hearing her own voice, Rochelle didn't interrupt. Storytellers typically failed to find it awesome. She hung on his arm like any good piece of armcandy, keeping pace with the tall man through the crowds.

He got his arm back when it came time for the wine. A man needed two hands to pour and, when she received the cup, her arm returned to its wound-around position on Carltis. She sipped.

She choked. Her arm tightened instinctively, small chin snapping up to keep from spitting wine everywhere. It burned the back of her nose. Rochelle managed to swallow and started to cough, squinting up at him with red cheeks and watery eyes from the lack of air.

"A goat?" She croaked. "s**t, you just had to say that when I was drinking, didn't you?"

[Berath - tag Becka]

Berath rumbled, carefully storing the information away for now. Later tonight she would decide whether or not to tell HerHealer so that he could remember it for them... but if Becka wanted her to keep quiet maybe she had better not. Whether Becka liked it or not he probably would do something, but he wouldn't enjoy it because he was also fond of Rochelle. Knowing somebody he liked had threatened somebody else he liked - somebody directly under his care - would hurt him too; it certainly hurt Berath herself.

the green said after a brief silence, think like we do. MyHealer has many things to say on this and related subject.> Berath gave a brief huff, an equivalent to a small laugh. Perhaps she could cheer Becka up a bit; she hoped she could.

------------

[Carltis - Tag Rochelle]

Carltis sipped his wine and gave a sigh of satisfaction. "Yes, I certainly did; point to me! Cheers!" He raised his cup to her in a toast and sipped again. "Looks less crowded over there," he gestured vaguely off to his left, "shall we go see if we can find somewhere to sit? Never understood why people insist on standing around through all these bloody things."

Adi
Tag F'itz

Adi beamed when the little flit accepted the invitation, reaching up to scritch gently and his and La's feet while they snuggled. The gold issued a series of pleased sounds at their guest, combining them with a stream of happy feelings. There was no such thing as too much affection, even from a very new friend.

"Pleased to meet you, too," the younger rider agreed. "Nah, we're from Malvren. I like it here, though. Do you?"

Set'al and Pipith
Tag Narisa and Cepheith

Pipith had been keeping an eye out for his favorite gold - not that he was well-acquainted with any others - knowing that she was bound to be at an official celebration. He came to attention the moment she arrived, carefully positioning himself so that he would look his best. I would be honored to have your company, he responded when addressed, smug that it was his company she desired even with others about. I will send him.

Mine, Cepheith requests that you find Hers, he relayed.

Set'al set about doing as requested, less because his dragon wanted him to and more because he wanted to spend time with his friend. He made his way towards the front of the crowd, assuming that Narisa was most likely up there with the rest of the important people. By the time he got there, she was already making her escape, and he tried to catch up with her. "Narisa!"

Becka
(tag to Berath)

Becka was relieved "Thanks Berath, i just don't want to give her anything else to be angry at me for" she did sigh a little, she'd been avoiding most people by sticking to the infirmary but if Berath said that Carltis and Rochelle had been spending a lot of time together then that probably explained why he said nothing to stick up for her or anything, not that she'd really expected him to but it would have been nice if he'd said SOMETHING... she HAD stitched him together after he'd been slashed for Faranth's sake, she wasn't to know that he'd been holding into Rochelle to hold her back, if he hadn't been there Becka would probably be needed a bed next to Bereck by now but she was oblivious.

She smiled at Berath's attempt to cheer her up and she was glad that the Green wasn't bonded to her and so she could pretend, Berath wouldn't (hopefully) pick up on the fact she felt rather alone, besides Berath and a bedridden Bereck, she really did have no one, Carltis had Rochelle, Aleck.. well she hadn't really talked to Aleck but .. he and Rochelle had been cosy back when she's last seen them, mostly. She tried to be nice, she worked hard but she was still alone, yet Rochelle.... as nasty as she'd been to Becka, clearly held something desirable, something .. Becka didn't have. Perhaps it was her confidence in herself ... Becka didn't know, didn't speculate but she faked a smile at Berath and pretended to choke "Berath.... dragonbreath!" she said, wafting a hand dramatically in front of her face.

Suunath
(tag to Cepheith)

Suuanth hummed, she and Tyeth sat further apart from each other than they usually did but Suunath didn't mind, she wasn't really in a snuggly mood. "Cepheith it is good to see you here, of course we are here, Tyeth's had to make Mine come but we are here" she said lightly, her sandy spot was comfortable but she got up to move to greet her fellow Gold. She and Cepheith shared a weyr, it was only proper she go and say hello.

[Rochelle, tag Carltis]

"You don't get a cheer for that, you a**. You should get a smack on the head." Rochelle stuck out her tongue, sulk mildly. She rubbed at her eyes with the back of her wine hand and took another drink to wash away the choke. He suggested they sit and without a word otherwise, she snagged his hand in hers and started to pull him vaguely towards the left. "That the end of the story? And screw standing. Only time you should stand and drink is when you want to get dizzy."
PostPosted: Wed Nov 14, 2012 3:09 pm

[Carltis - tag Rochelle]

"What?" Carltis blinked. "No, like... cheers. Bottoms up. Good health. A thing you say when you clink your drinks together. A toast kind of thing. Maybe I picked that one up at Harper Hall?..." She grabbed his hand. It was kind of nice, it was... companionable. He didn't really know what he thought of Rochelle but he did know he liked her so... so that was good? Yes, it was. Had to be.

"Anyway, that's not the end of it by a long shot," Carltis continued. "After it bounced off me it ran off around the Weyr and I had to chase it. By all dramatic rights I should have been accompanied by off kilter fiddle music, but sadly Lady Pern has no sense of comedic timing or theatre so it was only set to the sound of my swearing." He sipped his wine, pausing for thought as he prepared the next section. "Eventually I managed to corner the little b*****d and wrestled him to the ground, much like a certain bronze rider. Heaved the beast over my shoulder, got it back in the pen and finished my job. This however made me late for crèche playtime, sorry, I mean the totally serious candidate lesson in which we painted fake wounds on dragons. I did a rather good recreation of Berath's on the blue I ended up with - who by the way had no interest in the disgusting politics of the Weyr - but that's a tangent I can go off on another time."

Another moment to think, and more wine.

"So I arrived, and tried to find out from Lady Teenie Teen our benevolent overlord, sorry, overlady... or girl, but anyway I was just trying to find out what I ought to be doing." Carltis sneered then and made a gesture with his cup of wine off to the side. "Enter stage left, Wingleader Sor'loser, keen to see me in trouble. Sadly for him I was not in trouble and so I said to him: 'Yes sir, goat wrangling, just another of my chores. I always seem to get assigned ones to do with heavy labour and wrangling disagreeable animals, I can’t imagine why they’d think I’d be good at that... I am a Harper not a Beastcrafter after all.' I smiled at him very nicely, and I do hope that he realised that I was speaking out our match and comparing him to a belligerent farm animal."

Once again the scarred harper sipped his wine, and this time he shot Rochelle a smirk. "All in all? Best ******** candidate lesson I ever had."

N'mol
(Tag Roscoe and Kindra)

N'mol let Kindra snipe at him, taking it with a grain of salt. She didn't like to be ordered around (Goldriders) and he had, essentially, done exactly that. So he kept his peace on her comments and nodded when she pointed out that Benden stuck together.

"You'll get a dragon. I'm not saving a space in my wing for no reason, after all." N'mol smiled and shifted his stance, subconsciously bringing himself closer to Kindra without actually making any move to do so. Still, the adjustment made it look less like a tripod and more like a matched pair speaking to a third person. "Try to make it this Clutch, though." He grinned at Roscoe. "Or you'll end up with a non-Benden egg more likely than not."

Cetalese
(Tag Eliza and D'lin)

Ceta was familiar with Eliza's gradually growing list of complaints about her wing, so she wasn't surprised to hear Eliza suddenly spout off about it. Eliza was just going to come up with more and more reasons for her to switch wings until she finally got in to some gigantic row with someone of rank, unless she was able to switch out sooner rather than later. Cetalese tried to keep an eye on her and listen when Eliza needed it, but there was little that she, as a Greenrider, could do.

"I know, Eliza. I'm sorry."

D'lin's offer prompted a small smile from her and she squeezed his arm. She did want to say hello, to M'lan and anyone else she bumped in to. Halith's Flight had reminded her "I'm going to go socialize with some of the other Trine riders. I'll catch up with you soon."

With that she slipped off into the crowd, heading for the table she had seen M'lan at. She returned a greeting from one of the Trine Weavers as she went, but didn't stop to talk.

"Hello, M'lan. How are you?" Cetalese asked as she came up beside him, taking a drink for herself and wrapping both hands around it.

Halith
(Tag to Microth)

Halith turned her head, seeking Microth in the darkness to match her face to her name. I'm Halith and I'm definitely enjoying my evening! I was just telling the boys here that things are starting to get boring, though. I'm trying to convince them to liven things up. Aerial displays would be perfect. Don't you think we need to do something to make this more fun? Too much sitting around makes for a boring Blue! Clearly that last was directed at the males, and Halith let out a snort of amused laughter.

Tanya
(Tag M'lan)

The crack at his dragon drew a laugh from her. She scrunched her nose slightly when he complimented her and then gave him a sparkling grin. She liked it when she could make other people feel good. "I'll see what I can do. Wait here."

She jogged off before he could reply, only because she knew that if she waited for much longer she was going to get a second call and it wasn't going to be as nice as the first. She helped open all of the baskets and whisked a plate from the pile, setting it to the side and adding things to it even as she was helping to unpack. However, the plate was the important thing at the moment, so she went so far as to get slightly in the way if it looked like something good was about to be put out.

When she finished she snagged a few rolls for herself and slipped them into a pocket. She loved wherry and gravy as much as the next person, but she couldn't fit that in her pocket on the go, so she would just have to pass. When Tanya turned to bring the plate back, vacating the space so the other servers could move more easily, she caught sight of a dark-haired women speaking with M'lan and came to an abrupt halt that nearly sent the roasted sweet tuber rolling off the plate.

From the close proximity between the two of them it was clear that they knew one another, and Tanya definitely didn't want to interrupt them. It might be a private chat. Oops! Well, I'll just wait then.

She turned back around so it wouldn't look like she was staring and went back to where she had been. She set the plate somewhere safe and set about making herself a small plate. The other servers couldn't complain; they were doing the same thing. Then, when she was done, she would see if the Brownrider was available again. If it really came down to it and it looked like they were going to keep talking she could deliver his plate and then take her leave.

S’kor/Scarath

He applauded with everyone else as Abigail then Hekate gave their speeches. It really was a credit to her that she’d done so much in the rebuilding. S’kor turned to settle himself back into a chair carefully. He wasn’t ready yet to get something to eat, though he did wave a drudge over with a glass of wine. It had surprised him as his bronze had elected to remain at his wallow rather than seeing the party.

Are you well settled? He asked Scarath. The food smells delicious.

I am well, the dragon replied. Send Aona and Mostia with some food if it pleases you.

Optheli/Dynith

Optheli had stood near her dragon as she listened to the speeches. She’d arrived late enough that she hadn’t been able to get a seat before they started. Her green wasn’t going to let her out of sight. So she settled the dragon where she could watch over her rider where Optheli intended to sit.

There was many other dragons here. Including the silver with his rider being honored. Dynith scrunched down as far as she could.

Wykla/Kameth

She headed right for the food tables after the speeches. Listening was hungry work. Wykla could feel Kameth watching her and the party from his position at the edge. Her ears caught the sounds of louder conversations but she ignored them for the moment.

The blue flared his wings then settled in for a long night.

F’law/Zurith

F’law shuffled around his dragon. Why were they throwing his party again? Oh he knew about the rebuilding all, but why? He could understand a party if they retook one of the weyrs. But to honor a girl? True she’d done a lot, but she wasn’t the only one.

A party is good for moral, Mine. And there was the recent Fall. Zurith flicked his tail.

Relys

He was glad the caravan had gotten to Trine in time. They had been bringing in supplies that had undoubtedly gone toward the feast. Relys mingled with the crowd, a grin on his face. His wher was safely in his wagon.

Felix
(Tag Jordan, Kala, Talakor)

Felix had just accepted a glass from a pretty young woman pouring drinks when a hand grazed his shoulder. Well that had been easy. He hadn't even had to go looking for his own entertainment as one had just appeared behind him. Felix turned to inspect the young man who'd snuck up on him so well. "No bother. "He grinned and sniffed his drink real fast. "Ale, smells like. The little brunette there was passing them out." He jabbed him thumb towards Tanya where she stood talking to a man wearing rider knots.

Movement caught his eye and he glanced past Jordan's shoulder's to see his classmates shoving their way towards him. He lifted his hand in the air, a wide grin splitting his face. "Kala! Talakor! You guys made it!" He waited till they were close enough to talk at a reasonable level. "This guy and I were just getting drinks." He slapped Jordan on the shoulder. "You should join us!"

Dizzian
(Tag Mercy, Loveth)

Courath's eyes whirled with amusement as the green Velath perked up upon being greeted by Devith. She otherwise held silent and looked about to see who else was around.

Her search proved fruitful as she spotted a vibrantly pink hide bouncing jubilantly among the dragons. ~ Loveth! Over Here!~ She rose up on her front legs and gave a quick bugle to gain the crimson's attention.

Dizzian nodded, scanning the crowd of humans as Courath had done the dragons. "Yeah... It's a little scary. I mean... last time we had rider's from another weyr here we lost Alumanth..." She shouldn't dwell on negative things like that. Not here where the mood was supposed to be festive. "Not saying that I think it's going to happen again!" She added hastily when she realized she'd just said that to a rider from another weyr. "I just... well... fardles."

Z'fer
(Tag Hekate, Kleos, Suunath, Cepheith, ect.)

"You can mingle. I just want to be the first to congratulate you." He smiled and dipped his head to Kleos as she joined them. Looks like the mingling started now. Z'fer supposed he didn't mind too much. Kleos, he respected, and was glad to see that she and Hekate already seemed to know each other.

He let Hekate accept Kleos's congratulations before welcoming her himself. "Good to see you Kleos. Did Mercy happen to talk to you?" He figured she probably had. From what he recalled the crimson and white riders were on friendly terms with one another.

Narisa though, when she slipped up with her cheeks red he could well guess what she was thinking of. He gave her a knowing grin and didn't say a word till after she'd excused herself.

Calanoth stood from his spot and crooned as Suunath glided overhead. He moved towards where she had settled herself with the other gold and a few bronzes. ~ Cepheith ~ He returned Trine's gold's greeting pleasantly before greeting the others. ~ Pipith, Plexith, Tyeth. ~ He nodded to each bronze where they lay. Now that the flight was over and he'd won he felt no ill will towards the other bronzes. Whether the feeling was mutual was left to be seen.

Finally Calanoth turned to Suunath and gave her another croon. ~ Beautiful Suunath. ~ He'd wait to take her side till she gave him an indication of her mood. He'd rather not get himself clawed up when he was nursing fresh threadscores. Especially in front of the other males.

Zarike
(tag Orlina)

Terra circled overhead peering at the faces in the crowd till she found the one she was looking for. With a trill of success she popped between back to Zarike and sending him an image of Orlina among a crowd of faces he didn't recognize. She chirped and a flick of her head in the direction of the hiding candidate before fluttering away to join the multitudes of firelizards both wild and owned chattering about the festivities.

Zarike wormed his way through the crowds till he found the table filled with candidates. He slipped in beside Orlina, his small size making it easy. "Orlina! Lookit what I got!" In his arms was a ridiculously tiny flit, unmistakably a crimson. She was only a few sevenday old at most. She was bonded to Zarike but this was the first time he'd been able to bring her out and about. His father had been taking care of her up until now. Her struggle hatching had left her weak and being a cautious man, Hyasin had insisted that she stay under his care until she was strong enough to socialize. Zarike had spent a lot of that time at home with the little flit, keeping her accustomed to his presence.

Ailin

Now as people got their food and drinks Ailin was able to slip in and get a small plate for himself. Small being the relative term. The growing lad had discovered with an increase in height came an increase in appetite. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that his life involved a lot more physical activity too.

Now to find a bit of tablespace... knowing he didn't want to impose his presence upon strangers Ailin wandered around searching for Harper knots, or maybe a candidate or two he might know.

Cai

Why did everyone have to drop their work when it came to events like this? Cai had the most unpleasant look no her face as Hekate gave her speech. If it wasn't for the fact that this also served as the evening meal Cai wouldn't even be here. As it was, if she wanted to eat this evening she'd have to subject herself to a few moments of forced idleness.

Maybe she'd see if Bereck was available for once. She'd barely given him more then a hello-how-are-you since their arrival at Trine. Besides the fact that she always kept herself incredibly busy, he seemed constantly surrounded by the same group of children she'd met at Malvren. People she didn't care to meet again if she could do so. Becka as another apprentice healer was unavoidable but Cai had kept any interactions with her strictly craft related.

She spotted Kleos chatting with the silver rider and scowled. That Weyrling thought she was just tough s**t didn't she? "Tch." Cai looked away and called for Gingko.

The little green chirped and dropped down to Cai's shoulder, eyes whirling bright green with excitement. Cai gave her forehead a rub before snapping her fingers, her new signal that she had a task for the flit. When Gingko straightened up and locked eyes with her Cai spoke. "Go to Master Bereck." She sent an image of the old healer. "See if he needs food." Another image of Cai holding two plates of food and a feeling of questioning. "Then come back to me." She made sure her commands were clear before letting the milky green go off on her mission.

Roscoe
Tag N'mol and Kindra

Roscoe's eyes flicked between N'mol and Kindra for a few moments but he was far to politically correct to actually say any of the things which came to mind, at least when faced with a Goldrider. Prying into the business of a Wingleader and a Goldrider was not a smart thing to do. Even when said Wingleader was a good friend.

At least Benden was something they could all agree on. Mostly. Roscoe loved Benden, but he well recalled the way some had turned against them in the end, placing their lives above their loyalty and throwing their lot in with the handlers. Subconsciously he rubbed at a scar on his arm, did they stick together? Did they really? But of course neither Kindra nor N'mol had been at Benden to see that rather horrifying sight and again he was far to politically correct to mention it now - and it was nice to have a Weyrwomen wish him luck."I do hope your right Milady and a better Gold to bring it into being a rider couldn't ask for." He responded to Kindra before looking to N'mol again.

"I'll do what I can...after all you have gone to an awfully great amount of trouble to make sure I'm around for this clutch." He reminded the man with a smile. "And we can't have you flying around with a hole in your wing" He added with a slight chuckle.

Aerith
Tag Cepheith

Aerith lifted her head as Cepheith bespoke her, turning her head to look for the much larger gold and humming at her pleasantly as she caught sight of the familiar metallic hide. 'we are well! thank you, mine had been fretting over one of her students but I think she has it settled now.' The white shared in a pleased voice. 'And you and yours? Well I hope?'

D'lin & Eliza
Tag Ceta & Hekate - and those with her

With a smile an a nod D'lin watched Ceta walk off through the crowd. Of course he preferred her at his side...but that particular view wasn't all that terrible either. As a male he wasn't going to complain.

Eliza meanwhile had wished her friend well and continued on about her tirade..until she noticed that her audience wasn't listening to a word she was saying.

"D'lin! Are you even listening to me? D'lin! Oh for sharding sake will you stop looking at her a** long enough to answer me?" She demanded, reaching out to smack him in the arm and grab his attention.

Startled D'lin nearly spilled his drink and sent Eliza an accusatory glare. "What was that for?!?"

Eliza rolled her eyes at him in exasperation "Nevermind!" Before stomping off to find someone else to complain to.

Shaking his head and somewhat puzzled but willing to write it off as just another of Eliza's quirky mannerism D'lin finished his drink and then set off to do what he'd mentioned he ought to. Find Hekate and offer his congratulations as was proper. When he finally spotted her he noticed he was not the only one with such an idea and inclined his head towards his fellow Wingleaders with a pleasant greeting. "Wingleaders." Before turning his attention to Hekate and offering her a slight bow.

"Rider Hekate..a wonderful speech, congratulations...and thank you for the effort you've put forth in rebuilding our home."

Plexith
Tag Cepheith

Plexith was absolutely tickled when Cpeheith dipped her head in greeting and bespoke him, flaring his wings a little (all the better to show them off) the bronze rumbled a grand greeting to the gold. "What light bedazzles my eyes and heart in such a manner? Fair Cepheith is must be! You look lovely as ever." The bronze stated..though his elation was short lived as she went to sit with the runt bronze.

Whatever. She was probably just trying to up his morale or something. Can't have the little beast moping about ALL the time right? Calanoths greeting drew his attention then and he rumbled a content enough greeting to the fellow bronze. With no flights on the horizon he was once again willing to be cordial. 'Calanoth."

Mercy
Tag Dizzian

Mercy gave Dizzan an amused look as she stumbled over her words and tried to backpedal out of what she'd said. Holding up a hand in a gesture of peace she laughed a little bit. "It's alright Dizzian, I can understand the sentiment, I mean last time we had stranger riders and people in my home..it got taken over!" She stated in a lame attempt at an equally lame joke. Oh well it wasn't like she'd ever been a funny person per say.

Hekate
Tag Z'fer, Kleos, Narisa, D'lin, Courath, Velath, Loveth

Hekate inclined her head poleitely in thanks when she was approached suddenly by Narisa. "My thanks Weyrwoman. I look forward to being in the air." She replied watching as congradulations made the woman made her way into the crowd before turning back to Kleos and Z'fer. Grinning up at him she chuckled giving his arm a light squeeze. "Oh I know. I simply couldn't begrudge my favorite bronzerider some time. Besides I'm sure the other Wingleaders will be wanting to see you out and about not to mention the rest of Malvren's people wanting to congratulate you on a won flight." She replied letting him get back to speaking with Kleos. The mention of the whiterider's name drew a frown from her and a rumbling growl in her mind from Devith, but she shrugged it off. It didn't matter after all.

Turning she was pleasantly surprised by D'lin as she once again greeting him with a smile. "Thank you Sir. I'm glad I could be of service~ However if you'll excuse me I think I'd best get to the drink table before it's drunk dry." She replied with a grin giving a polite nod to all three. "If you'll excuse me as well Wingleader Z'fer, Wingleader Kleos." Hekate added letting go of Z'fer's arm somewhat reluctantly to make her way through the crowd towards said table. She was getting rather thirsty and as she approached it was plenty glad to see not all of the drinks had been taken as she helped herself to a cup of fruit juice taking her seat at a nearby table.

Devith like Courath too was rather amused at how pleased the other green had been at his attention letting out a low pleasant draconic chuckle as he turned to his sibling seeing her calling Loveth over. It wasn't hard to spot the bright pink hide over the crowd and he too let out a light bugle of greeting to her urging her to come pay them a visit. Ah lovely Loveth! What a pleasure to see you about tonight. Tell me how have you and your riderbeen? He asked pleasantly though his eyes flickered a worried yellow as he spotted Sunnath's coppery gold hide as well. He hope his rider and hers remained seperated this gather as well as the bronze two-legger and hers. It wouldn't due to ruin such an occasion for his rider.

Mine. Sunnath's is here. Devith quietly warned Hekate his eyes scanning for the sight of the Queen's rider.

Hekate paused in sipping her fruit juice looking up to glance around. Great. Just great. Oh well they were in a crowd and Devith was separated from her so he was not here to have his temper riled. She doubted Kindra would try anything here and hopefully they all just avoided each other. Either way she would at least attempt to play nice.

It's ok Devith. If her manners are anything to go on I doubt she'll bother to come congratulate me and even then as long as you hold your temper I think we can make it through tonight relatively unscathed. Hekate replied to her dragon her tone light and teasing as she tried to reassure him that everything would be just fine. After all tonight for once they were on a slightly leveled playing field.

Niyx
Tag Ailin

Niyx looked up catching sight of her favorite shy little candidate friend and lifted a hand to wave at him. "Ailin! Hey Ailin over here!?" She called flashing him one of her quirky little smiles as she called him over. "Come have a drink with me. This is quite the party isn't it? Not that it isn't sharding deserved. I mean look at all the progress we've made." Niyx continued hoping to put the clearly shy boy a bit more at ease with her presence.

Meroc
Tag Cai

Meroc had been eyeing up a rather fetching lass not to far from the table when Havoc peeked over the brim of the Harper Journeyman's rather oversized brimmed hat and trilled happily. Following the bronze's gaze he grinned like a cat with a saucer of milk as he spotted his favorite prey. Rising from his seat, Harlot complaining at the sudden movement he waltzed his way through the crowd.

Coming up behind Cai he bent all but purring in her ear. "Why if it isn't the beautiful Healer Cai! Tell me milady how have the festivities been treating you?" He asked Havoc letting out a sad whine at seeing Gingko go, but there were plenty of other pretty lady flits to flirt with. Except Harlot. Flirting with Harlot always ended in being clawed for him and he liked his hide intact.

[Rochelle, tag Carltis]

"Oh, I know," Rochelle said as they headed towards a less horrible area of the party. "But you don't get a toast from me, trying to kill me with giggles and wine." Despite her words, she tipped her cup against his quietly once they found a place to settle into.

Rochelle settled down like a good little listener, sipping at her drink as carefully as she could when he spoke. The last thing she wanted was to choke again, especially since this time it'd end up on Carltis.

She ended up laughing anyway, one hand over her mouth to keep from spilling wine and the other clutching at the cup. Another shake of her head and Rochelle put down the wine, her teeth flashing in her grin.

"That sounds badass. Wish I'd been there," She managed to calm her giggling, tucking some hair behind her ear. "And you tell stories very well. That was excellent."

[Carltis - Tag Rochelle]

Carltis shrugged and looked up at the bright southern stars, so different to those of Malvren. "Well, what can I say, I am a Harper.... Some days I think I could almost be happy as just that, but then I run into people like Wingleader Sor'loser, and Wingleadrer Ba'by, and I think... what the ******** the point? People like that will always be more important than me."

Carltis had ranted at Rochelle about his colour politics before but this time his voice was softer, frustrated but sad and yearning for a thing that didn't exist.

"That blue I painted.... He didn't care, and he asked me if - I mean, I asked him about bronzes and golds and browns - he asked me if I would deny them their choice just because it fitted in traditional bounds.... What about human bounds? Potential? And dragon potential? Since when does a captain of the guard lead the patrols? Why can't a wingleader be small and command some of the fall from below? Or just fly conservatively to save strength?" He drank his wine, and looked down at his hazy reflection in the service. "What's the point? The blue was right. I can't ******** change it."
