Mitsu relaxed, slipping her feet out of her sandals as she brought them up to rest on the edge of her seat, drawing her knees to her chest. She rested her arms lightly around her legs, smiling slightly now that the panic was over.

Mitsu was not new to train rides, she had to take a train from Amity to her home town and the ride was a long one as well but that didn't mean she wouldn't get bored along the way. "No, I'm fine. Do you?" She asked wondering if Shun needed anything while they waited for the train to leave.

As far as the window seat Mitsu smiled and shook her head. She was fine where she was and could still clearly see out the window. For now it was just watching the people walk by as the last few boarded the train and the doors finally closed. It was only several moments later when a husky voice came over the intercom to let them know they were on route to Goblintown, Hell's Hollow, Deadman's Crossing with a final stop at the Shizukesa Temple. A few seconds later the train lurched into motion and began to pull away from the station.

There were quite a few stops on the way, Mitsu hadn't been very many places outside of Amity and her hometown. Honestly she had been to more locations outside of Halloween. "Have you traveled a lot?" She decided to ask, peering out the window as the town fell away in the distance.

Shun shook his head quietly to Mitsu, then settled down once she declined the offer to switch seats. He went ahead and got himself comfortable, seeing how they were going to be sitting for some time. The train had just started to move, and it sounded like there were a number of stops before they reached their destination. That was to be expected, though.

"Not a whole lot. I've mostly just traveled around the city where I've grown up, but I've gone to a few other places. Either for training or for some other matter," he replied with a light shrug, "I spent most of my time in the city, though."

Looking out the window briefly, he asked, "I'm guessing you hadn't had too much of a chance to travel personally."

Just judging on what he knew of her own homelife.

Turning to look at her knees Mitsu began to pick at the hem of her dress. After a short moment she shook her head. Before Amity she hadn't even been outside her home town before and she was somewhat certain Mr. Adolphus was tired of having her around. Before it had been Ginji that had been sure she had been cared for, fed, and seen off to school. Once he went missing that responsibility fell on the scientist who didn't exactly have a way with children. Mitsu still to this day wasn't sure how her parents had known that man or how they had been friends but she wished they had known other people. Perhaps Ginji would have been able to take care of the two of them on his own though she knew it would have been hard for him.

"What's the city like?" The town that Mitsu came from was a decent size but it by no means measured up to the city.

It was as Shun suspected. Her brother was blind and her care taker didn't seem like the type to take her around anywhere. Nodding quietly, he looked back towards her, while taking a moment to think about the city he came from.

"It's big. Very big, and there are a lot of people in it. Even at night, it's fairly busy. Most pay their own mind, going on with their own business. It's almost easier to get around without the need of a car, with the trains and buses allowing you access to most parts of the city with relative ease. The buildings stretch up high in the heart, where there's more of a business hub," he started while thinking of the place, "There's a few parks here and there, but they aren't that common."

That was the jist of it really.

She listened intently trying to picture the city as he described it. Mitsu had seen cities as they were portrayed in movies or pictures. Was it exactly like that? It seemed rather exciting though the thought of so many people made her nervous. She hadn't given much thought about the people on the train but it was possible any number of them were dangerous and in this setting it would be hard to get away. Mitsu was somewhat certain jumping from a train was not as easy as it looked in the movies.

"Will you take me some day? To see the city?" She could picture the tall elegant buildings and network of streets and subway systems.

"If that's what you'd like, then I will," Shun nodded quietly, "Perhaps one day I could visit your hometown as well. What exactly is it like?"

He knew that she wasn't from a tiny place, but he didn't really know a great deal about it in general.

"Oh. I forgot to mention...the city I'm from is on a fairly large island, and it's right on the coast," he added upon recalling that detail.

And yet, he still couldn't swim. Despite having lived near water.

"Island?" That information was fairly interesting to learn. So he had lived in a place that was off on its own but had still grown to huge proportions. Mitsu remembered the ocean from the horseman trials. It had been nice, she would enjoy seeing something like that again without the blazing bright sun overhead.

As for her own town Mitsu tried to think. Her voice wasn't up for a long talk just yet but she could probably lay out a decent image for him. "It's not big, the buildings are small and mostly local businesses. Everything is in brick and older, some of the streets are even still cobblestone instead of paved. There are houses a little bit of everywhere and parks." Places that she never really saw except in passing to get back home.

Listening to her little description, Shun nodded quietly while picturing the place. It sounded like a bit of a quaint town, but it wasn't quite rural either. Sort of an in-between he supposed. Maybe something kind of similar to Halloween town in a way.

"It sounds like a nice place," he said quietly while looking out the window once again. Trees were zipping by pretty quickly, though he could see some sort of settlement further in the distance passing by slowly.

"One thing about the city though, you can't see the stars as well as you would around the school."

Shrugging lightly Mitsu looked back out the window. She supposed her town was nice, it seemed like it would have been a nice place to explore but she hadn't been given the opportunity. To her it was as much a mystery as the rest of Halloween. She knew more about Amityville.

"You can't? Why?" The fact that the stars weren't visible was hard to imagine. "Can you see the moon?" Maybe there was something that blocked the view of the sky itself.
PostPosted: Wed Nov 14, 2012 5:32 pm

"The moon is still visible. But the city has more lights, thanks to all the buildings and people in general. It's not always as dark as it is in a smaller place, so in turn it can be difficult seeing all of them. Of course, in the heart of the city, there's the fact that the buildings make the sky a little less visible as well," Shun explained.

It was too bad that he hadn't been to a human city at night. Some areas were just as bright during the day almost. The city was still dark when compared to that, but it wasn't as dim as it could be. People still needed to be able to see where they were going, after all.

"So its bright like the day?" Mitsu asked curiously. She was trying to picture a place so well lit that it made the night sky difficult to see. It would take a lot more than the lanterns the lined the streets at Amity. Their only purpose was the make the night a little less dim for those who had trouble seeing.

Picturing the tall buildings was another matter too. How could anything be so tall and towering that it was able to block out the sky? Mitsu felt overwhelmed and tiny just thinking about it. This place already seemed so large in her mind.
PostPosted: Thu Nov 15, 2012 2:06 pm

"No. Not quite that bright. You can still see the dark sky. But it... looks mostly just dark. Like on a cloudy day rather than being littered with stars," Shun explained, "Apart from the street lights, there's the fact that there's people up in offices working late and the like."

He tried to explain about things a little more, but after awhile, he fell silent to allow the lycan to rest her voice. Time went on, and he just relaxed, watching the world go on by as they went from stop to stop. Eventually, they arrived at the station for Shizukesa Temple.

"Finally here," he uttered quietly while grabbing his bag and slinging it over his shoulder again. Stepping outside, there was no temple in sight. Instead, there was a vast serene forest.

"We have a little bit of walking to do before we reach it still," he explained while stretching himself out from having sat for several hours.

Mitsu had taken in the extra information Shun had given her before they fell silent to rest for a while. The first stop hadn't been long off but the second and third seemed to stretch for a while. Before they even made it to the Shizukesa Temple stop Mitsu had drifted to sleep, leaning with her head rested against Shun's shoulder. She stayed that way until he started to move to gather his things, jarring awake and looking around slightly disoriented.

It only took her a moment to realize they were at their stop and gathering up her bag she followed her reaper out of the station and into....a forest. She expected there to be a town or something but instead it felt like they were being dropped off in the middle of no where. Even more so since they were the only two getting off.

"Is it far?" Mitsu asked, shouldering her bag that seemed to be shifting and giving her issue.
PostPosted: Thu Nov 15, 2012 2:51 pm

"About a twenty minute walk. We'll be there soon," Shun reassured. His gaze had been ahead so he didn't noticing her struggle with the bag as he began to walk forward. It felt nice to be moving again, and the forest hadn't changed at all since he was last here. It was quieter than the one they had been in prior, but it wasn't silent in an eerie way. At least not to him. It was simply calm. Peaceful.

"It's uphill from here," he added, seeing how they were on an incline of sorts. The ground below them wasn't paved, but it was a little worn. Others had trekked through here before.

After some walking, the town itself could be seen. It also hadn't really changed over the course of the year. It was a small place, being an area mostly devoted to the temple. It had a light asian flair to it, and one thing to note was that all the inhabitants seem to be ghosts. This time around, he didn't receive any dirty looks. That was a good sign to say in the least.

The town had one main road which led up to the temple. It looked like parts of it was still under construction, from what he could see at the entrance, but it was definitely in a better state than it was last year.

"Here we are," he uttered quietly before looking back towards Mitsu.

Her backpack seemed to have a mind of its own but finally Mitsu had it in place and began to follow Shun up the well worn path. Twenty minutes didn't seem like a terribly long time but Mitsu soon found that when it was on an incline the walk was quite a bit further.

By the time they reached the village Mitsu was painfully reminded she was not at her usual peek of fitness. Her legs burned terribly and her backpack felt like it weighed at least twice what it did. When they came to a stop the lycan leaned forward and rested her hands on her knees allowing herself a moment to catch her breath. The walk normally wouldn't have been as tiring but it had been a while since she had been out and about.

After a few moments to collect herself Mitsu finally tilted her head up to take in the village. It wasn't a large place but it was still teaming with life....in a sense. Considering the main inhabitants appeared to be ghosts.

"This is where you came?" Mitsu asked curiously, walking a little further in while she took in the decor.
