Mephistopheles sighed as he missed. Around him, the tendrils vanished, and he appeared up in the trainer's box with Lenore and Elesh Norn, who were finishing up a game of checkers. The duskull tapped the darkrai on the shoulder. "Hey. Your turn."
Norn looked to Lenore, seeming to apologize as the checker board vanished. The girl waved her off, and the darkrai floated down to the canyon below.

Seeing the thin fog start to appear, Shina decided to take advantage of the opportunity presented. "Yuki, return! Go, Annabell!" Annabell chittered in delight at finally getting out on the field, her eerie "fufufufufu!" echoing through the stadium as the fog rolled past her with no effect.

Annabell hissed viciously at the Darkrai. "Annabell, Focus Blast!" Shina ordered quickly. Annabell grumbled at not being able to get her paws dirty, but sent the orb of fighting energy at the Darkrai anyway.
