Ailill looked at his son and felt a long sigh build in his chest. It did not come out though as he listened to his son's question. "No he just came by to visit me for a bit that's all."
Nilima ate her part of the grapes calmly before she scooted the plate over to Braven for him to eat. "Will you be coming over a lot to visit Daddy?"

Gavril brought a hand up to rub his eyes quickly his tail flicking against the couch. What he was going to do with this little foals protecting their father in their own ways. He sighed, "No I wont be visiting your father a lot. I had not seen him in a long wail and I had grown a bit worried as to why I had not seen him in so long. Anything else either of you wish to ask me?" He shifted a bit closer to Ailill as Braven moved within touching range of him.
Braven had not eaten the grapes as he was ready to question the chocolate colored stallion. But as his sister slid the plate over to him he stopped trying to get closer to the adult and started to nibble on a couple of grapes. He did not mind this tense atmosphere it was a bit more to what he was used to when two adult stallions shared a room. He did not like it when his father was showing affection to another adult when he could not even show it to his children. His golden eyes did not seem to leave Gavril though. "Why is Daddy so nice to you?"

Aililll shut his eyes tiredly. He caught the tone in Braven's voice and knew that his son was jealous of Gavril. "Gavril, I'm sorry about this. Braven, my friend is a guest at the moment and it is good manners to be nice to them."
Nilima looked between the males in the room. "I just wanted to know mister Gavril. Daddy seems happier than he did when you first got here. I want Daddy happier, even if you don't like me." She looked back at the ground.

Gavril raised a hand to his friend and shook his head, "Do not be sorry. I can understand why they would worry." He turned to the foals and looked at both of them one at a time. "It is not that I do not like you...Nilima and Braven. I am not used to foals. My profession and day to day life does not bring me into contact with them often. I had not expected to find Ailill and fine him with two lovely foals. Your father is nice to me Braven because we are friends from way back. And he might feel a bit guilty that he never came to tell me that he had foals when he first got you two. Instead he left he to worry not knowing where he was all this time." He kept his voice light and friendly as he addressed the foals.
Braven listened and he knew that his father had not really wanted them. Even at his young age he knew that much. But now he felt a bit more of a sad ping to his heart. Did his father not want anyone to know about him and his sisters? He turned to look at his father watching his reaction to Gavril's words and leaving the grapes on his plate uneaten for now. "I...I am sorry Gavreal."

"Are you going to eat, Braven?" Ailill looked at his son worriedly. The conversation was starting to turn for the worst. He could see it on his children's faces.
Nilima nodded slowly, "Is that why he didn't tell you? Cause you wouldn't be comfy?"

Braven looked a the grapes and picked one or two. Even if he was a bit upset he was hungry and did not want his father to take away the food if he thought that the foal was done eating. He mainly did it though to ease his father's worried look.
Gavril nods, "Yes. I think that is why he did not tell me. Because he knew I do not know how to deal with foals. So he did not want to make you two or me un comfortable. He is not ashamed of you or unhappy he had you. He is proud of the two of you. And he does care for you. Do no worry about that. And I wont be around much anyway so you don't have to worry about me coming over. I am going to be out of town for a wail. It is one reason I came to check on your father."

Ailill's worry for his son did subside but not by much. He looked to Gavril, "So you have work out of town? I hope that goes well, and thank you for coming to see me."
"Okay Mister Gavril."

Gavril turns to Ailill and gives a nod, "Yes I have been requested for performances and lessons in three other cities. I will be gone for a few months up to maybe a year." He sighs and looks down, "I am sure you will be super busy so you wont miss me that much. And of course I would come to see you before I left. I would not leave you worrying." he said and stuck out his tongue at Ailill. He turned back to look at the foals, his tongue back in is mouth, "I am sorry if I up set either of you."
Braven looked at his sister and leaned in to whisper in her ear. "If he is daddy's friend and he will be away for a long time....should we ask him to stay the night so daddy will be happy before his friend leaves?"

"So when will you be leaving?"
She looked at her brother and smiled, "You think daddy will like that?"

Gavril turned to look at Ailill again and smiled, "Well I will be leaving anywhere from tonight to three days from now. It al depends on how much I need to settle before I head out. Which really is not that much. I am glad I got to see you before leaving and to know your well and fine." He winked at the other and took a drink of his water.
Braven gave a nod and a small smile to he sister. "Yes I think he will. Should we ask?"

Nilima giggled and stood moving to her father's side. "Daddy, Braven and I were thinking. Since you haven't seen your friend in so long, why don't you have a sleepover? We promise to be on our best behavior and not get too close to Mister Gavril."
Ailill looked at Nilima and stared at the child in disbelief. He turned his gaze to his son and stared at him even more dumbstruck. "That... uh... that would be up to Gavril."

Gavril could not express his surprise and a bit of worry as the foals offered to let him stay the night with Ailill. He knew that they did not mean a sleepover in any adult manner. Just that their father should get to spend a longer time with a friend he would not get to see in a wail. He looked over the two small Leagil and wondered just how clever they were. Smart foals scared him even more. They even offered not to get close to him.
He leaned his head forward letting his thick silky hair cover his face for a moment as he thought and then with a gentle laugh he gave a nod, "Well if your father will have me then I could stay the night and leave tomorrow evening." He lifted his head and let his hair slide back. "Do you want me to stay tonight Ailill? I can sleep on the couch just fine if you don't have an extra room. And thank you two for being willing to give me a wide birth and letting me stay."
Braven watched his sister move towards their father and offered the offer to him. He blushed as his father looked so shocked and he turned to look at the grapes. "Y...you seemed so happy when you were sitting here with Gavreal...and you don't look so happy often...I want my daddy happy." he said softly and smiled moving to push a loose grape around the plate it was on.

"We both love you Daddy and we want you happy."
Ailill smiled at his children. It was times like this when he truly understood just how much he cared about them. He smiled at Gavril, "I think it's a great idea for you to stay." He stood from the couch and hugged each of his children. "Thanks you two. Any requests for dinner?"

Braven nods, "Yes we both love you and want you happy more than anything else." Golden eyes teared up with joy as his father's arms wrapped around him. That was all the little colt ever wanted. He wanted to feel his father's love. When he was released from the hug he sat back and looked at the grapes and started to eat more of them as he thought about what he would want for dinner. "I will eat anything...could we have apples for desert though...or...those mini oranges....what were they called?" He had forgotten the name of tangerines.
Gavril watched his friend with the foals and felt himself feeling more than a bit like a third wheel. But he was glad to see all three of them looking happy. As long as it kept him from being touch or watched by the foals it was fine by him. He gave a nod and sighs, "Then I shall stay the night here. Thank you both for offering your home to me and a bit more time with my dear friend."

Nilima smiled happily, "Anything is good, Daddy. I'm glad your happy." She giggled and did a small spin.
"All right you two. It is still light outside, go play outback and stay within sight of the kitchen while I get dinner ready."
