He was being quiet - a feeling that brought her great concern with everything else considered already, her brows furrowing together as he spoke her name. She put one hand on his shoulder, patting his back as he turned away from her to cough into his arm, a small frown on her face. Everybody seemed to be in bad shape and she wasn't sure what to actually make of it. She didn't want to ask what had happened - she'd been smart enough to notice there were a lot of tablets floating around.

The rock that sunk in her gut thought that perhaps they were the tablets of the dead, rather than the living however. The unsettled feeling became torrential as Leon carefully stuck a band aid to her chest, touching it gingerly before the nervous look on her face became even more obvious.

About as obvious as the tight hug she was pulled into, frowning as she wrapped her arms around the Life Trainee's shoulders and squeezed him back - her best big bro ever. It was his fault she'd adapted to survive on that blasted island, and now he was...just off. She wasn't sure what the first question she should have asked was, but the first one that came out was what she was going to have to accept.

"Leon? What's wrong?" she asked, her voice cracking - fear. She was afraid to know the answer, but the thick wave of sadness over the gathering was impossible to not pry into.

He cast a glance at Eva and Tedan before he stared down at Bix. “Maybe they can do some research and fix it,” Wilson mumbled. “Maybe…” Wilson leaned back, eyes wide as Gale kicked the bed, but the older hunter did not stir. He merely continued to let the lad kick and he even let the yelling continue for a bit before he reached out to tug at Gale’s hand. “Gale, you should keep your voice down.” He didn’t even know if his quiet voice made it through the screaming. Wilson stood up and gently pulled at Gale’s shoulder. “Gale, he’s not going to answer you.” He looked away, the corner of his lip twisted while he bit the inside of his cheek.

Robert winced when he heard Candace's voice. Not only had he just knocked off a piece of Mimsy, but he'd been caught red-handed in the act. He just couldn't catch a break.

Ignoring her warning, he walked over and patted her on the head. Then he heard Gale's wails (yes) coming from nearby, and moved to check out the scene with what appeared to be a pretty casual demeanor. He leaned over Bix, sparing him a curious glance, before pulling away.

He felt sorry for Gale. Truly sorry. He looked even younger than he really was, as he suffered like this. He looked like a child, and that hit Robert the wrong way.

But at least he wasn't a hunter anymore.

"Yelling's no magic formula, kid." Robert muttered, his scowl barely visible on his face. Robert's eyes flickered up to Candace, and his head gestured towards the young man, as if to say, 'You're a woman. Handle this?'

Nevada hesitated as another life hunter joined them and then offered her smile to him as well.

Obviously these two had much to talk about and she didn't want to intrude. The gesture towards the man led to a slow look at the hunter and a cocked head to the side though and a wary look at the huntress. "My offer stands for you too handsome, Is there anything I can get you before I make rounds? Water or Bandages?"

/why are you being so kind to these broken pieces. Man, I knew I chose a wrong dame when I picked you./ Nevada's eyes squinted at her weapon, his unsummoned form tucked into the bow of her headband, a small pin with a jewel. She flicked it as if she was getting dust off rather then telling her weapon to shush.

Her gaze flickered over to the small death hunter that this life pointed at and pursued her lips again. "Ah, I will most defenitly check on him as well. I can slowly make my way over if its safer that way. I'll take care of your friends if there is anyone else that needs dire attention..." And trust me, Nevada could actually SLOWLY make her way ANYWHERE.

Eva flinched slightly when the blond suddenly got up, her soft eyes questioning as she looked up at him. Her first assumption had been that he wanted to leave--that he wanted to find somewhere to think in private--only to watch with widening eyes as he turned around and began to kick at the bed.

By the time she managed to scramble up to her feet, he had begun to scream at Bix's body, urging--demanding--that the other man get back up. Unable to watch, and suddenly aware of her blurring vision, Eva reached out to grab Gale, one of her arms wrapping around him as she tried to pull him back--to calm him, despite the fact that she could find herself quivering as she tried to fight back tears.

"Shh, Gale. Gale, stop," Her tried to keep her voice soft and soothing, but it began to quiver, "P...please. Please stop..."

Her voice cracked a little. God. God, why did this have to...?

Leon could feel everything falling back into place, the shock of everything was dulling and left nothing but reality to stare at him dead in the face. All the loss. A resounding failure with much backlash. He heard Cass, Oh how he wished to stay in the blissfulness that was the mental fog from not long ago. He only hugged onto the girl tighter and said not a word.

He just didn't trust his voice at the moment.

The small permanent marker in his pocket, life rations, their usefulness outside of battle, it was all he had as a temporary means of communication. The sharpie clicked as the tip came into view, gliding over the back of his hand, the fact that it was permanent was forgotten, or at least didn't matter as the message would forever remain on him anyways.

It seemed fitting as he though about it.

Line after line was drawn till they formed letters, and with letters came the word he was looking for as he held his hand up to his dear sister.

The word in red was permanent, as his remorse, thick and shaky and full of regret.

Sorry.

Lex removed his hand from Ami anyway, sticking in the coat pocket that contained Regal's tablet. He brushed the surface at intervals, looking away. "Yeah...that one." A sigh, and Lex was about to just turn heel and leave. This day had enough crap in it; he didn't need more.

But he persisted, because that's what a man does. "I... I'm not going to say that I know how it feels now, because I'm honestly just a little shut off at the moment." The purple girl came up, and Lex gave her a nod.

"Water would be great, two bottles." He looked back to Ami's back, a frown tugging at the right corner of his mouth. "But I'm not going to just let you close yourself in either. There's going to be a lot of people that need your help now; and you're going to need their help in return."

He walked away, coming back to Solia and just sitting there, eventually slumping his head into her lap and closing his eyes.
