The bloodcurdling screams and shrieks became louder and louder with each successive hit. He just wanted to go homeeeeeeeeeee. Why couldn't they let him beeeeee??! ...
Something took shape in the white nothingness, in the voices, in the immense pain. For a brief moment it overpowered the longing, the craving, washing him back to his senses:
Sorennnnnnnn ...?? Kiwi cried uncertainly, for the first time recognizing several of the faces attacking him. He stamped his hooves and reared. Whyyyyyyyyyy. Why will you not come homeeeeee with meeeeeeee??! ...
But in that moment another blow brought with it a fresh, intense wave of pain, spiriting him towards a single goal; His front hooves hit the ground, just as his hindquarters reared towards the assailant. Enoughhhhhhh!!
The pain however, was too strong, and he only managed to thrash about in torment.
The voice was disconcerting. It was his name, his name from the stallion's mouth. Asking him why. Asking him to go home. But where he was headed...that was not home. Home was gone, and home was not something that they had the power to go back.
Soren looked up at the insane Famine horseman, pausing for just a moment. "I'll bring you home." It was not the home Kiwi was referring to, but it was the one that was still around. He would do what it took to bring him back.
He strode forward purposefully, raising his weapon, waiting until he was within range to sink it into him, twisting at the hilt. They could save him. He had a vial and they just had to weaken him enough to use it. If only he could tell when the young stallion had reached that point.
Zhi winced at the hit, but wasted no time in trying to get another arrow to his bow when a flying dagger suddenly struck and distracted the creature. As he glanced up to see who it was who had thrown the dagger, all he saw was the creature barreling towards Jay and reaching down to snap at her. "Jay!"
It did not just...!
It was hard to read his expression--if anything, he just looked impassive--but there was a quiet rage as he turned his dark eyes to the creature. With a deep breath, the conquest horseman lifted his bow, took aim, and fired an arrow. Almost immediately after the first arrow went flying, he strung another one to his bow and shot again, and then again and again until he was finally satisfied that he had gotten in a decent attack.

Unsurprisingly, the creature did not take too well to her attack. She froze when it shrieked just before it began to move. Jay’s eyes widened when she realized the creature was barreling toward her. She started to move to the side, but it was too late. The creature made direct contact with her and she was sent back a significant distance. Jay skidded to the ground and lay there for a moment, both hands over her stomach and with her eyes locked shut as she bit down on her bottom lip.
Eventually she began to shift, to move into a sitting position before she transitioned into a standing position. She stood hunched over slightly and warily eyeing the creature once more. Pain. Jay was used to pain. She straightened her back and threw, but the damage it had dealt her was noticeable in the wobbly trajectory of her throwing knife.
Shaheen saw the attack as it came towards her and somehow managed to move herself out of the way before it struck, her eyes narrowing at the hooves that just barely missed her. Logic would dictate going for the creatures legs, but whatever this thing was, it probably defied logic.
And then it began talking, directing it's words towards a horseman that had been attacking around the same time she had. Her gaze moved towards him, then back towards the insane fog monster, her brows furrowing in confusion. Was it..was he another horseman? Twisted by the insanity?
She was probably wise to try and put it out of it's misery, knowing full well what being consumed by the insanity was like, what it meant...
She threw her dagger, but it was like her conviction just wasn't strong enough, as though even though she told herself it's what needed to be done, she didn't quite believe it. The dagger missed completely.
Pain such as he had never felt before blossomed through him. With it came a different pain, a physical pain, snapping him sharply to the present.
Sorennnn ... Soren's own blade, in his sideeee. This wasn't right. What wasss wrong with him, attacking everyone, why couldn't they seeeeee, feeeeel, hearrrr-
A shrill wail burst from the colt's throat, and he spun in confusion, a wave of guilt washing across the weight on his chest. Blindly and madly, he kicked hooves and bared teeth.
How could he do this?? ... Howwwwww ...?? ... He just wanted to go homeeeee. To Mara. To his family. To his clannnn. Hoooommmmeee.

Sorry Soren ;; But Kiwi has already attacked everyone else. He hopes you will forgive him for a little love tap ♥
She watched as her dagger sailed past the monstrosity, her eyes wide, disbelieving. How could she have possibly missed? She summoned the dagger back to her hand, thumb stroking the hilt as she watched the creature move, lashing out with hooves, speaking again, but this time directing it's attack toward the one he had been speaking to.
No. This needed to be put to an end.
She flew forward again, this time getting herself nice and close while the insanity horseman was distracted, not wanting to miss a second time. She slashed out with her dagger, aiming a blow towards it's flank, teeth grit tight in determination.
Well it seemed Aisa had made an appearance - beautiful, no sarcasm intended. The Phoenix had gone down rather quickly underneath the assaults of the clan, but it appeared that when one foe fell another would rise - but that was the cycle of nature. But of all shameful things, it appeared one of his clan had risen up to start pulling out chaos. That would just not do at all.
"Shame." Invictus said sternly as he drew his bow again, taking a moment to aim before he released the arrow he had drawn to make a rather solid hit upon the insanity pony - because for real. The only horses who should have been rampaging at that point in time were him and Aisa - in such beautiful forms at that.
"We will not be bringing you home if you continue to act this way." he added firmly. "Naughty children are not tolerated."

"Not yet."
Silence. Medea gathered her strength, and called again, louder. "Not yet, you must go back to sleep."
It seemed as if the fog, the phoenix instinctively knew whom she addressed. The entity, the being stirred, various faces bulged, stared out from feather-shaped greys and glared at her critically with blank eyes. Screeches, cries, groans, the sounds of those dying, repeated, again, again, again.
'Who will take us HOME'
"We will," the Head Priestess coaxed, promised, slowly, moving one hand forward against Kiwi's slowly dissolving form, touching the sigil, the sigil of the Lost Clans on their skin. It flared, bright red for a second, and then dissolved the fog around it, relinquishing hold of the horsemen. "We will take you home-"
'TOGETHER'
-"But not together." Everything had already been set, this path was unavoidable. "And yet inevitably, one day."
She turned to the last remaining horsemen, still confused, wrapped in the fog, nodding very slowly towards the survivors. There was only one thing left for them to do.

If anything he succeed in capturing Kiwi's attention. A hoof lashed out, barely catching him, just grazing his chest really but ripping down, revealing a set of rippling abs.
Really, that was not cool. Now he was going to have to find a new shirt. Soren took a moment to remove his shirt, it was pointless to fight in the tatters, they would just get in the way.
The protectors were getting in on this as well, which was always a sight to see. They were magnificent really. Tseng noticed that a number of the others were focusing on the other pony, who now looked like it was on its last legs. Perhaps he could try and finish it off so that Medea could aid them.
"FINALITY!" he shouted, only to find his arrow zipping straight through the air and hitting nothing at all.

A flailing hog took the protests across the cheek and she went down hard, weapon scraping along three ground and out of reach before disappearing, only to reform back in the mare's hand as she got back to her feet. She didn't pause to dwell what their head priestess had ordered, she'd just moved. It was instinct, defending herself, but beyond that it was practical. The two horseman had fallen to the insanity, and they needed to be stopped. Beyond that, if they couldn't be saved, they needed to be put down, out of their misery. It was kindness, in a way.
Either way, saved or relieved of their consuming insanity, they had to be brought under control.
