Gentle fingers found unforgiving hardness as Liliana took the offered gauntlet. Her smile grew wider, speaking to a wisdom she had yet to impart upon them. Rising from her chair, she walked down to be at their level. Well, as much as a four foot, eight inch tall woman could be compared to them. "Chivalry, though guided by desperation, is still appreciated," she said, looking directly at Kuroi. "Yes, I am blind. To the way you see things. But I can see. In much more useful ways." Her expression grew thoughtful. She looked over to Alyssa. "And you, my dear. Your name stirs an old memory within." Removing her hand from Kuroi, she offered it to Alyssa. "Are you willing to learn such a memory?" With where she was positioned now, Kuroi would be able to see the burn and claw scars that adorned Liliana's right hip, thigh, and lower back.

The flight had been uneventful, and although Vincent had suspected it would have been, and expected no events to have taken place, he was still slightly disappointed at the boredom he experienced. As the boy landed near the entrance to the palace, he shook off his expression of nothingness and threw on a smile, heading up towards the Palace entrance. There he introduced himself to the guard, and was let inside and directed to the throne room. He took his time getting there, as he felt there was no real rush to his agenda and no need to ruin the lovely walk he was experiencing in Balansas Palace. Reaching the throne room, Vincent stood near the frame of the door as he began to watch the events unfold. He could not help but smile as he witnessed Liliana being helped up by the male youth. Thinking he should at least let those in the room know of his presence (though he expected Liliana would already know of it), he walked inside and towards the throne. Clearing his throat, Vincent spoke in a clear, adacious voice. "I'd be careful. The Lady has interesting things up her sleeves. Always." The boy grinned as he stopped but a few feet away from the two females.

(Sorry, guys. I have been feeling like s**t lately. Not sure what I've got but its been hard for me to breathe and just move in general. Feeling a bit better now, though.)
Throughout the entire experience, Alyssa wasn't sure of what to think. Liliana was obviously a Seer, and a strong one to be of such a status. Yet she pretended to be frail in front of Kuroi. It was actually amusing. With just one touch, Liliana was able to learn everything going on with Kuroi both physically and mentally. She could even tell what he was thinking. When she had turned her atention on her an told her that her name brought up a painful subject, the only explanation was that Liliana met het brother. He and her brother, throughtout their time in Rykros never spent any time outside of Mau. "You must be from Axiom. Which of my brothers do you speak of? Jasper or Conner? Because I'm looking for both. I can't even be sure Conner left Axiom before its demensional walls crumbled because of that portal. But any knowledge of their past would be great." But it seemed as if another had come. A rude one, she might add. "Whoever you are, you are interrupting the business between two nations. If you seek an audience, then please wait until we have finished with Lady Liliana."

Liliana smiled, brushing Alyssa's hand as she walked by. "How good of you to finally show, Knight Vincent. You had me wondering for a moment if I had calculated the time wrong and would need to stall longer." She clapped the newly entered man on the arm. "You're just in time to meet your new rulers, Alyssa and Kuroi. I was just telling them that should they need help training wise, Ernya would be happy to help." Her face turned to a small frown. "I must caution you all though," she started, moving back to sit in her throne. "There is much unrest right now, so soon after the end of the war. Wormwood has become more dangerous than when Red and Luna ruled. A group called the Swords of Salvation have forcibly taken the nation and are murdering those who do not fit into their definition of worthy. Jiaum lays in disarray and ruin still from the war. I have ships bound for Devil's Eye vanish and caravans ransacked by the Swords. Vincent has been knight of the rulers of Indelca for a long time. Trust in him and he will guide you true. If you have need to gain insight from myself, seek me out here or at Spiral Tower." Liliana looked to the side, seeming to look through a nearby window. Instead, she stared at Graveheart. "I had hoped by ending the Plague War our dark times were behind us. But it would almost seem like they are only beginning." She turned back to the people from Indelca with a sigh. "I'm sorry but my sight stretches only so far today. I can offer what I can but it is not as much as it once was."

Not knowing who ecactly Vincent was, Alyssa spoke out of term. Someone of Vincent's experience would benefit Alyssa greatly when it comes it ruling. "Apologies, but one must not be so quick to accept someone without first knowing them." She spoke to Vincent. Then she returned her gaze onto Liliana. "What of the memory of which you spoke of? About my name."

 "All I need is my gauntlet to bring life to this world." ||| - Kuroi Raikiba - ||| ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• The woman described how she could see in other ways, even though she was blind. That was something he had never heard of, even through all of his studies. Suddenly, another voice made its way into Kuroi's ears. It was not Alyssa, and the Lady didn't seem to be speaking. The Reaper turned his head to look at the creature. The smell of death was all around, now. "Ew," he thought. Death was a nasty thing. It turned out that the "Vincente" character was a Knight of Indelca. That was good news and bad news. Good because he could probably help them in more ways than one, but bad because he would likely think that he had a claim to the throne more than them. Which was likely, however, Alyssa and Kuroi had come first. On top of that, he reeked of death. A smell any Reaper hated. They were all about life and anything that smelled that much like death probably did the opposite.

"You mustn't act like that with someone who can help you greatly, Alyssa," Liliana noted. "I have worked with Vincent before. I know him to be a boon to you." Liliana relaxed back into her throne. "As for the memory you stirred. I was much younger at the time but I knew the man named Jasper." Her face grew sour, as though she had a bad taste in her mouth. "I could hear him from the mirror's surface. Congratulating the Sin who imprisoned me. Traveling with her because Kora wouldn't perform the spell he wanted. And then he lost her. I couldn't hear him anymore." Liliana unconsciously stroked a thumb over her scars. "With what happened to me while I roamed without memory, I cannot forgive him easily. But though you are of his flesh, you are a different person. You have yet to make your mark within my memories."

Jasper. Of course it was Jasper. Alyssa was well aware of Jasper's corrupt ways. To think that he would protect a Sin, rather than see it destroyed. "My brother was a corrupt Paladin, he lost sight of his teachings from Sir Calahad. But do not think of him as evil. Jasper has never had it easy." Before she would get into specifics, she had to concentrate on other things. Lady Liliana assured her that Vincente would be good to harbor, and so she would trust the seer. Her only hope was that if the man did harbor any ill feelings toward her claim on the throne, that he would tell her now so that the conflict could be resolved.

Vincent had not said a word since entering, instead keeping his grin stretched across his face while he examined the two youths. They were proving to be quite the interesting duo. The female, Allysa as he heard it, had quite the mouth on her. Obviously the more-so leader of the two, though he could feel strencth coming from the male as well, this Kuroi. It amused the boy, however, that Kuroi was a reaper, one of those being who hated a Necromancer's very existence. This little soiree could prove itself to be extremely fun, as well as tough, should it continue on in Indelca. Not that Vincent particularily cared for the difficulty, for as a Knight of Indelca, he had a responsibility to remain helpful and faithful to whoever led the nation. Obviously that would come with difficulties, but nothing that the boy could not handle. Figuring it was time for him to do something, Vincent bowed to the two youths in turn, first Kuroi, and next Allysa. He smiled as both, a calmer, peaceful smile, and looked Allysa up and down. "If you have something to say, say it." He awaited a wonderful response from his new Lady and Queen.

Fortunately, nothing violent erupted. Though, Alyssa could see the look of contempt on Kuroi's face. She did not know that the man was a Necromancer, after all, so Alyssa could not understand. Regardless of what it was, it meant nothing. It will never rise to anything, if she does her job well. "I look forward to our cooperation in Indelca. I had my doubts, but they have faded." As usual, she spoke the truth. But now that they had Lady Liliana's help, their diplomatic work was finished. She looked at Kuroi and Vincent, "I will finish my training in this city, and when I am finished I will return to Indelca to assist in any way that I can in the training of our guards. But I will leave the primary task of training the guards to Vincent. As he will be our new Captain of the Guard, a step up from an ordinary knight of Indelca."

She used her words well, and thought them through before speaking them. She would be of great importance to Indelca's public and national relations when the time came for her to step up. She did, however, seem to carry some arrogance in her voice, something that Vincent would have to make sure about before venturing into discussing it with her. As she finished speaking, Vincent could not help but smile at his sudden "promotion." Speaking gently, Vincent addressed Allysa. "I will do my best to serve you my Lady. However," he took a step towards her, "I won't accept the promotion you have given me. Indelca is full of capable people who already have such positions, and who are fit for them. You'd do best to learn this. Just because they have had a relapse of absence, most probably brought on by the abrupt leavings of our Lord and Lady, does not mean they will not serve you and Kuroi, the new Lord and Lady. I will talk to them upon my return, and organize the land's forces once again. No need to worry about that. Do know that I have no want or need to move from my spot as Knight. That is what I am, nothing more."
Vincent turned to Kuroi, and once again spoke calmly and gently. "As much as you hate me, young Lord, I must ask if you will be returning to Indelca with me. Or will you be remaining with the Lady here to train in this foreign land?" Turning to face Allysa and Liliana, he spoke with a harder tone to the two. "No offence to my Lady, or to you Liliana, but I personally view training in a foreign land to become strong enough to be a leader to be a mistake. There are many who, upon discovering this, would think of it as weak. Also, while it is good to have happy relations to other nations, it is foolish to be in the debt of others, even if they may seem to be giving and accepting now. Time changes people, and there is no way to know the true effects of time and its ravages, is there Liliana?" The boy looked Liliana straight in her empty, yet all-seeing eyes as he spoke the last bit. Once again, however, his tone returned to being calm and gentle. " Now,. don't take that as an attack on your actions, either of you two." Vincent motioned to his Lady. "I am simply giving my advice as your Knight, Allysa. It is completely your decision where to train, and under whom. Feel free to do as you please." Vincent turned back to Kuroi, and smiled widely. "Now, where do you stand? Will you stay, or will you return with me?"

(This way of training also is partly because I want to prove that I'm in this position because I want to lead, not for some autorank. Just can't have Alyssa say that without breaking the fourth wall. :/ )
Despite what anyone would think, Alyssa does not obtain ill feelings for someone who speaks their mind. In fact, it's the opposite. She liked people who spoke their mind. She took his words into consideration, as she always will, but asking Lady Liliana to bring one of her teachers to Indelca was out of the question. "Your decision to deny the 'promotion' is fine, but I would like to meet these people who are more... qualified for the job, as you say. As for training, I think it's out of the question to put pride at stake. No one person can live their life without accepting the help of another individual. While I can see that view, I believe that it will be beneficial as well. Thank you for your words of advice, but I will stay... and I am sure that we will repay our debt to Lady Liliana in due time." With that, Alyssa left the palace to seek out a trainer.

There wasn't much that he could to get over his hatred towards death, but he had to atleast tolerate it. "I will be returning to Indelca. I'll learn what I can from you." Kuroi headed toward Alyssa and stood by her side. He turned his attention to Lady Liliana. "Thank you for allowing us this audience." Then he turned to Vincente. "Shall we be heading back?"

Vincent could not help but be fully intrigued and amused by his new Lady. She truly was a good egg, and would be hard for anyone to crack. Just what the land needs. Vincent could see great promsie from both of the youths, as Kuroi had the aura of one weilding great strength. He would need work, and hard work at that, but he would advance far in this world. Vincent bowed after Allysa as she exited the room, the grin never leaving his face. Turning to his Lord, Vincent smiled wider and clapped him on the back. "Good to know you're onboard my Lord. I'll let you know that, while we are truly apples and oranges here, I have still taken great time in learning about your people. Your training will prove to better you in many ways, and while we're at it let's see if I can't boost that confidence of yours. We need a strong Lord in not only body, but mind as well." Vincent turned to Liliana. "I trust your nation to take good care of my Lady your eminence. I also pray she isn't trouble for you, what with that intertesting personality of hers. I thank you for your time and words, as well as your aid." He bowed to her in a low sweeping motion, his mind speaking out in the hopes she was listening. I do hope this doesn't come back to bite Indelca in the a**, although I think it will not after having met you the couple of times I have. Keep Allysa safe Liliana, or I shall return. Raising his head to hers once again, Vincent cocked his head and threw on the blankest smile he could. "Goodbye now Liliana." Vincent once again turned to Kuroi, and clapped his shoulder. "Shall we be on our way?" With that, the boy headed for the door, and made his way out of the Palace, expecting the male youth to follow him on his way out.
