Rep didn't think most things Jerry did were impressive. The guitar was rendered uncool by what he used it for, the glasses, the dress sense. Everything woefully nerdy.
But that was cool.
"Okay I'll give you that, that's ********' badass." he said waving a hand. "If I heard that out in the jungle myself I'd probably be pretty ******** freaked out." He was almost jealous, about the only sounds Tracey seemed capable of was a lot of really ******** effeminate whining.
<Hey.>

Jerry's expression softened in embarrassment as he lowered his hands and rubbed his neck. "It's just complicated singing, ahahaha." He cleared his throat, "I'd need more practice to really fool a Monster though I think, ahahah. Another one of my useless talents, huh?" Fallen back from the initial rush of the Rose into his system, he was seeming his old self again for a few moments... if a bit more mellow.

"Nah, that's awesome, seriously," Jordan said, shaking his head. "You could probably seriously freak someone out with that. Just make sure someone's in place with a camera beforehand for the reaction." He grinned.

"Pfft. There are a lot ******** more useless talents let me tell you." Rep stated.
<really ******** doubt it.>>
"Aye though man, you could freak the s**t out of people. And I dunno, I'd recognise that howl anywhere."

"Hunters make... duck calls," Jerry mused distantly, letting his feet sink in the sand as he stared across the water. "I mean like... human hunters- dudes with guns I mean," He floundered, wobbling a bit. He pulled the rose from behind his ear again to thoughtfully twirl between his fingers, careful of the thorns. "The harmonics have to be right. Their throats.... my last Golem had different sort of wind pipe, it got Roar and I talking.... and then when I was in that Yeti, the throat on that thing, it was like... I could make so many noises at once. But a proper distress call... or ways to make it difficult to detect- children might not notice something simple but the older ones might be smart enough to look out for discrepancies and tells..."
He cocked his head to one side a moment before suddenly dropping to the wet sand on his seat in a fit of laughter. "Let me sing you the song of my people, Ahahaahahhaaha."
He wove a hand dismissively, falling quiet again, "Sound is really important." He mumbled, deflated a bit and lost in whirling thoughts.
It was amazing what he could think about when not worried about women or drowning himself in liquor.

"I don't know, older ones might investigate because of the discrepancies and tells," Jordan said thoughtfully. "Curiosity can account for a lot. You'd have to deal with an already-suspicious monster, but presumably in that kind of situation you'd be ready for that."
He paused for a moment, listening, then winced and laughed. "Yeah, no, no way I can make that noise, Ferros, human throats are only capable of so much."

Rep was interested keenly in what Jerry had to say, curious about the different types of golem throats - he had only really landed very humanoid ones other than perhaps the werewolf. But whatever curiosity he had was entirely derailed onto another track at the mention of "that Yeti" His lips became a thin hard line. Jerry hadn't been on that mission, had he? He would have remembered.
"That Yeti was you?" he asked slowly, eyes narrowed.

Jerry gave a stoned giggle, "Polar Bears are surprisingly chewy, but they don't go down well, man."

Oh, s**t. Jordan had forgotten that Rep hadn't known the yetis were golems. Should he play dumb or admit to having known what was up? The former option might backfire; Jerry knew he'd known. "Training exercise," he said. "Personally, I would've preferred the yetis to the zombie horde and tentacle plant our pod group got for a welcome-to-your-new-life outing."

Rep's entire demeanour iced over, clenching his hands into fists. He could still to this day sometimes taste and smell that ******** polar bear, his first humiliation on what was to become an endless streak of it. He took on a sort of glazed and distant look for a few moments as he relived the whole terrible affair. He'd been thrown up on by Jerry. Jerry of all people. Not some random yeti. Jerry in a yeti.
he snarled. "So not only have I seen you naked way more than I'd ******** want to in my lifetime, had friends kiss you, you threw up on me and I didn't even ******** know."
He sighed in defeat "Jerry you ******** suck I swear to god."

Suddenly, Jerry collapsed into the sandy surf in a fit of giggles, "If... if... if it makes you feel better, I was drunk at the time ahahahahahhahaha..."

"It disnae." he snarled at the mention of Jerry being drunk. Great, just a random act of good fortune, he was so very prone to those. "There should be like rules against drink goleming."
Rubbing the bridge of his nose exasperatedly he sighed. "I think I could kill him a few times and it still wouldn't get rid of the memory of that smell." He made a face, even the memory making his stomach turn backflips. "I used to ********' think polar bears were cute."

"Ah... there are, actually. Rules against that um. Sort of thing," Jerry's laughter faded as he sat upright again and lifted his guitar out of the way as a wave came slipping towards them. "I got in a lot of trouble, ahahahha. Silly now, that I think about it. I don't know what I was thinking." Still smiling softly, he sat in a way that kept the sand and surf minimum on the instrument while still remaining seated as he strummed softly.

"I always kind of wondered that myself," Jordan said dryly. He picked up a smooth rock, rubbed his thumb over it, then tossed it out into the breakers. "So this revelation - did it happen right after you got the rose?"
