It felt like just yesterday that nothing was happening and the world was right. Where there was only them against the world, goofing off at the yearly festivals, of days where campaigning was usual and fruitful. The student council was always a fun sight to watch, he himself loved to partake in the free fun and parcels that came from the events. Oh wait, that literally was just yesterday. Recently, anyways. Then something happened, something that sent not only his school, but the horsemen out of their hiding and sent the world into a frenzy. These... Ancients. What was going on? Something even Medea, the Illusions master, seemed to fear? His hand gravitated up to fiddle with the small orange earring at the base of his ear, a new addition to go along with the swirl carved on his hip. Both having greater meaning if you knew where to look, or who to ask. Though depending on the question...He was sworn to secrecy. Really it was a secret society, one where he really could only talk to others like himself. Remis best friend did not even know he was with them. He was approaching the designated area now, among some unfamiliar faces really. Though that did not last long, because soon after... the faces were gone. "What..." There had been a brief moment when the solider had realized and understood the way she had been heading. Supplies, her clan, everything had been forgotten and only one thing drove her - and that was when the fog took her. Adrenaline rushed through her, but a deeper - darker sense of dread filled the normally stoic warrior. Gasping for air she began to run again, twirling while trying to find something, anything in the fog.
"Senga!" Her brothers name croaked from her throat as it had seemed to tighten with her newly found urgency.
Not even an echo responded to her.
Green eyes flashed as she ran in another direction, stopping dead in her tracks while a growl, a deep growl made her body shudder. Impending dread - fear - perhaps for real for the first time had made her stop dead. A gasp and she could only see a hairy visage run from her, an ethereal sort of being just ahead of her then gone back into the silence.
It was like a nightmare she had once as a child, of a beast which she knew she should not fear, but did - BUT THIS WAS REAL - and far more terrifying as she knew that scent, the feel of the beast.
"SENGA!" Her feet were tired and she pressed on. How could she have let him go on his own? Even she could see what was happening, what had happened... had she really been so blind to it?
I regret it.
She told herself, closing her eyes for just a moment to hide a sinking feeling of sorrow washing over her. It was then that she tripped, sliding over her body ungracefully and smacking down onto the hard floor. Grabbing the ground in her hands she let out a ferocious shriek - attempting to tearing at it, destroy it - anything to see anything else but her own miserable failures.
Staring into the fog she could tell however - she was alone here with no way to save him. For all the training in the world, she was useless.
"DAMMIT!" She screamed, slamming her hands into the floor.
What can I do now?

Oh yep she was blushing now. Jackdamnit how could she be blushing at a hunter! Ren was going to give her an earful later. If she didn't die of a heart attack before that. Skulls, that grin of his was something, wasn't it? LW couldn't help but smile back in return. "Dakota, huh? I'll be sure to remember it." She teased lightly.
Before she was clinging and cursing the fog over and over.
And then arms were around her.
Cue mental facepalming at setting herself up for that one. Ooooh yes, Ren was so going to kill her! And, of course, when she may have been able to protest this...position, he offered it to the other hunter. Who jumped right on over and they just had themselves one big cuddle fest.
Complete with hands running all along her body.
Were her cheeks as crimson as her hair? Why yes, yes they were. A strangled growl/whine tried to escape but came out as a squeak.
"H-Hi...um, Solia?" She was...a hunter? Really?! She just seemed so...so not like the others. Neither of them really fit what she knew them to be-
Israfel?!
Her whole body froze as her mind utterly refused to work. All she could do was stare at the ghoul, trying to make her mouth work and words to escape. But it wouldn't work. Mixed fear, hurt, rage, and too many emotions flashed quickly through the she-wolf. Too swiftly for her to even fixate on a single one.
It took a lot of effort for LW to swallow and clamp down on the nauseous feelings swirling around her stomach.
"I...hate...this fog.." she muttered, not having quite removed herself from Dakota just yet.

She heard a faint voice echoing Senga’s name, causing the horsewoman to bite down on her bottom lip even further. Jay squeezed her eyes shut and pressed her palms against her eyelids to prevent the oncoming stream of tears reading to streak down her painted cheeks. Just as she thought she had managed to bury the sorrow until the entire ordeal was over, the dam broke and the feelings came rushing back. “Uuu…” She rubbed at her eyes and shamefully covered her face with her brightly-colored wings.
“Senga…Iyari…” Home. She needed home so much and they were home. “Iyari!” she wept, breaking out into heaving sobs. “IYARI!”Quote: Name: Jay Faction: Horseman Year: Y1 Horseman Desc: ~ 5'2" War horseman with tan skin and long turquoise hair.

Ominously, as if beckoning those closest, the door of the Haunted House swung open, the masses of fog thinning, leaving only one path forward.
Come.
For some, those closer to Insanity, the voice seemed tantalizing, rich and inviting, promising something they had been waiting for so long, the cure for that itch, that pain that just wouldn't go away -
Come home.
For those lost in the fog at best, confused and scared, the voice sang a different tone. Threatening. Slowly pulling at their legs and arms, making them feel slow, leaden, drowning them in the white that curled around them and forced them forward, ants marching into the open door, despite their mind screaming, dulled, somewhere that this was wrong, despite-

It started small. A sniffle, a faint and haunting sound with the clicking of footsteps from some unknown area. Iyari glared at the ground, digging her nails into the surface of it so hard she could feel them cringe in pain.
Blood protects blood.
Words of her family, her chieftain - words unheeded.
It was so much more than sorrow, more than hatred and more than love that the soldier felt. Crippling as it was she moved to her feet listlessly, dropping the clumps of ground she'd torn away and watching it fall.
"How do I protect you from yourself?" She whispered, grabbing her head in an anger, pulling at strands of hair. No training could prepare her for this of all things, no battle like it, no composure to be gained - it was maddening.
A voice startled her and she stared at something - someone with a large weapon. The horseman stopped, staring at it and furrowed her brow as it approached. "Perhaps yelling is all I have." She was certain it was sent to mock her - whatever it may be. Oddly how it looked rather human... Was it sent to punish her? Slowly she turned to face it, staring back at him curiously.
Something internal forced her to back from it clumsily.
"What... are you?" She said, reaching for a small blade on her belt if the need called for it.
The fog wouldn't have it and she was in it again, unsure if the other had truly gone or where it had gone.
More tortures.Manda Sorry about that, was editing a little too long. ^^;;; A name trailed over a small breeze and she ignored it.
"No."
It came again, louder.
"NO!"
She grabbed at her ears, then it came again - her name.
Only one girl she knew sounded like that. Only one who could cry like that. "Jay?!" She called into the fog, her eyes focused and she twirled. She could hear her. "JAIDA?!" Her voice cracked and her tired feet took off again into a sprint.
"JAY!" From beyond the veil she could see a figure, buried in blue. Iyari could nearly cry as she collided into her with a strong embrace, her powerful arms crushing her in a protective vice. Her lips quivered, was this even real?
"I'm here." She said, leaning her head onto her dearest friend. "I'm here." She repeated, a hand reaching up and brushing aside the wings shielding her face.
I just hope you're really here too.
It was then her eyes focused farther away, her hands tightly moving onto Jay's arm, a call - a beckoning.
"This way." Her voice was robotic, unlike her own and the horseman wandered. Onward into the feeling, the voice - home. Something was wrong with that word but she passed through that door, unsure if Jay was on her arm still.
It was wrong - wrong wrong wrong-
THUD.

Saya was absolutely petrified on this mission. Having sparked a taste of insanity once before, she wasn't horribly eager to encounter it again. In fact, it was in a much larger dose-- in fact, it was practically a flood of insanity.
If she had to guess, her experience before might have only been droplets. Even Prompto who had tried talking in an effort to unnerve the trainee silenced now, leaving both of them in an anxious tension. She hated it, that was the sole thought moving her. She hated being separated, she hated being alone and she hated being insane. She wasn't even insane, no-- Saya firmly fist-pumped herself. She wasn't going insane, she was never going to from this point on.
Optimistic goal, let's go!

Dakota watched as a door opened and they were beckoned inside...Every hunter instinct burned for him not to but with the fog lacing his mind, confusing him.... Such a simple...
Come...
It was said with menace and promise of pain. Before he could fight it though, it pulled him in...with Solia and LW his female attachments.
"s**t s**t s**t...Stick close babes...we got a problem..." And the door closed behind them...

Tedan spun in circles a few times, trying to track the yelling voices with little to no success. They seemed to be screaming names - names that didn't sound human. The voices also sounded odd, distorted and savage. Of course, that could just be the fog, but he had no way of knowing. They were in a place where there were likely to be quite a lot of Halloween students. Maybe worse. "How the hell are we supposed to 'observe' anything in this stuff?" he muttered to himself, swinging Ardavan around in a circle in frustration. The reddish light thrown off by the axe's glow splashed against something white. Something white that wasn't fog. Another Hunter? One he'd almost hit by accident maybe? Whoops. "Hello?" he called out. Quote: Tedan Galloway Sun Trainee Hunter Looks like this

"Save..... us... "
The ground began to shake slightly, as the fog ebbed and flowed in waves around the few remaining in the same area.
"Help....us..."
A load roar now and then the wail, a cry, the scream of familiar voices dissipating again and again and ag-
"Help us find..."

A sudden weight collided into her and she moved away her hands to see who it was. “Iyari,” she croaked. Jay let out another loud wail as she buried her face into Iyari’s chest and wrapped her arms around the soldier. “Iyari. Iyari. Senga just—“ Her voice hitched and she stiffened as she heard a voice murmuring in her ear.
Come home…
Home? Her eyes widened as she found herself stepping alongside Iyari toward a door. Jay looked up at the house. “Okay…” she answered as she stared at Iyari with wide eyes.

She...felt something. It sent shudders down her spine and made the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. A low growl emitted, uncontrolable as her gaze was drawn... no more like forced to look towards the Haunted House doors.
Home...home was...was with Ren!
Home. Was it...was he there?
LW couldn't think straight, only able to grip whatever she was holding tighter. But her feet were moving. There was so much white making her mind hurt. Ugh she was getting a headache! That was the way to go.

Patience. Choice. All things met the same end. How many times had those words been patiently said, how many ends did one have to experience before the ultimate end? The fog relished in the delicious turmoil that had always been inside Aisa, a fight that had never left, never ended, as fear and titles became something that never even mattered. Fear into insanity was like ice into water, seeds into flowers, it was an inevitable process.
Red flowers lined up the pathway home, white edges flooding out the crimson red tones only to turn into a withering grey. Petals fell as Aisa walked past, walking to home. It was her choice, it had always been her choice, it had never not been so.
Choices led to the path and Aisa had become exhausted, tired, of staying on the straight path. Tired of making the straighter choices, of a battle that little others felt. It was almost petty, trivial, the fight that had gone on for so long. It was the satisfaction of the iciest kind, when the insanity coaxed the death priestess into giving what they had whispered in her ears for so long. The transformation was much more natural than the tearing sensations the others insanity-ridden felt, since it had always been within her reach-- the limiter was nothing more than a formality, a meager rule to prevent the destruction of a equally worthless kingdom. The unnatural feeling of skin, clothing and armor all disappeared into a form much more suited to the horsemen of Death. The only distinguishing feature, from all three other protectors, was a single flower.
This was worth so much more.
