Renor was shivering as he scrambled up the steps after Rhine. "Th-thanks..." Was all he managed; he was still fairly frightened, and his previous nervousness definately didn't help.

Rhine nodded. "I think I've had enough." He said as he slithered towards a crack in the wall that apeared to have sun shine on the other side. "Shall we just go out, and go around... Rather than through." He wavered a bit in his voice.

Renor quivered slightly, but nodded, reluctant to stay anywhere near where the thing was. "Y-Yeah, sure." He wrapped his tail around his back leg, the little furry end tuft dragging on the floor.

After several twists Ceres had led them back to the were they had started. "I guess we should get back. Maybe they are back by now." She held onto this, hoping.

Rhine was up first, the crack was small and he had his doubts. His doubts were fill quickly as he barely managed to squeezed through. "It is a tight fit..."

Satine shifted nervously, getting more anxious as no sign of the boys turned up. "Yeah, sure..." Was all she said in response, trying to still her tail which was twisting about behind her.
Renor was so anxious to get away, he didn't notice Rhine had stopped till he bumped his nose on the other boy's backside. "Rhine, gooo!" He wailed softly, before trying to shove with his little claws.

"Cheer up." Ceres smiled towards Satine. "Boys will be boys." She added as an afterthought.
With the push that Renor gave Rhine was free. However, what he stepped into was a run down court yard. Aside from the crack the other openings was the fountain, a well in the garden, and then the gate which was the exit out. "We are not out yet." Rhine sighed. "It didn't follow us did it?" Rhine's voice quivered, and then he turned to help Renor.

Satine still couldn't help but fidget nervously. "Yeah, and I can't even remember the last time Ren' acted like a boy, besides his shyness of women." She said sourly.
Renor meeped nervously at the idea of the thing following them, and hurriedly tumbled through the crack, fitting easily after worming his way through. "I-I don't think so..." He said, looking nervously over his shoulder.

Ceres nodded soflty. "Rhine lives with a bunch of girls... So this boyish streak of his is odd."
Ceres paused a moment. "I can sense them again. They are a bit on the scared side, but unharmed..."
Ceres was relieved that they were no longer in the castle.

As Rhine and Renor made it to the rusted gate heading out of the courtyard they could feel something watching them.
Rhine looked over his back. The first thing in shot was the fountain. Peering through the mouth of a broken sculpture was that snake like creature. Slithering slower than before due to a tight fit.
"Run!" Rhine screamed....

At Cere's announcement, Satine relaxed slightly, letting out the breath she hadn't known she'd been holding. "That's good. Where the hell did they go again?" She asked, frowning slightly.
Renor jumped when Rhine screamed, and immediately swiveled his head behind him. Squeaking slightly, he barreled forward, butting into Rhine's backside with his nose. "I'm going, I'm going!"

"That..." Ceres paused heavily. "I cannot pin point. I unfortunately have my limitations." Ceres held back a frown, and instead gave a straight face.
"Did you hear that?" Ceres questioned Satin.
The tumble of the two boys gave the creature just enough time to catch up with them. Now that it was out of the fountains whole it was proving to be very fast.
Rhine danced as if on a hot plate. Stay or Run. He thought to himself.
It was too late. His thoughts cost him a bite on his tail. He roared, and shot out another icy blast from his mouth. He was aiming for the eyes, however, it shot right over the creature.
"Renor..." Rhine panted. "Make a run for it, and get help." Rhine felt almost sick trying to feel so brave, but knew it was best.

Satine frowned again at the question, straining her hearing to try and hear anything. Her hearing was avergage; no super extraordinary talents, just a fairly strong body and a tail'n horns. She reluctantly shook her head. "No, I don't."
Renor was shivering uncontrollably. He wanted to run, he really did. He knew he was a coward, but he couldn't leave Rhine. "N-No." He said stubbornly, scrambling up and over Rhine's back to snap half-heartedly at the creatures nose.

Ceres followed the sound of the boys screams; however, she didn't mention that, that had been what she herd. "Calm down Satine..." She smiled over her shoulder. "Everything will be..." She left it at that.
Rhine seemed pretty pleased with the fact that he didn't have to stay there alone, and that Renor had stepped up to help. Shocked a bit, but he stumbled into a well enough sounding. "Thank You."
Seeing as Rhine's spouts of ice were not helping much because either he couldn't aim right, or they just bounced off he decided a different approach.
With the snap to the snout Renor had given the creature, Rhine went a little bit to the side. He lowered his head, and got a good running start, as fast as he could go for his side. Panting, he head butted the creature. He was pushing it straight back towards where it had come from... But would that be enough.
Again, even though the relief was great Rhine persisted again. "Go, Renor..."
Rhine didn't really want their parents to show up, but at this point it seemed best. Rhine after all didn't know how long his bulk, or Renor's snaps could hold up against the creature.

Satine still fidgeted nervously nonetheless, resiting the urge to snap back. "Calm? He's missing, sorry, but I can't be calm." Was what she settled for instead, trying to keep the creeping note of worry from her voice.
Renor stubbornly shook his head again, not letting go of the thing's snout; his pointy jaw was still locked on it's nose, and although he wasn't strong, he didn't let go when it came to biting things. "No." He said, though it was hard to tell through his mouthfull of black scales. He sneezed again, and a few bubbles burbled out from the corners of his mouth, bursting in the thing's eyes, making it shut them as it tried to swipe a paw to rub it's eyes.

Rhine couldn't send the creature back down the fountains since Renor was attached. Rhine danced in stepped, thinking. What am I to do?
Ceres pushed open the gate, and saw the creature they were fighting.
Ceres balled up her fist, and as she did the creature double over like a pretzel. It screeched in pain. "Leave them alone!"
Rhine's mouth gaped. His head swung between his mother and the creature.

Satine trotted right after Ceres, her face hardening to her 'battle-mask' as Heath liked to call it, before almost disappearing from Ceres' side; she had just sprinted to the side of the creature so fast, she was only a colored blur. She lifted a boot-clad foot, stepping hard on the thing's back, before lifting the other foot to stand on it's back. "Bugger off." Was all she said, leaning forward with her hands on her hips to glare upside down into it's beady red eyes.
Renor thankfully let go as his guardian appeared next to it, scrambling backwards into Rhine. "S-Satine..." He said, suttering, still nervous since the creature was still there, albeit looking very much like a pretzel, and afraid of what Satine might do.
