"What do you want me to say to you!? I don't know how much clearer I can make it. I am not the ... I've changed. I have changed, Jerry. I have aspirations and things I want to accomplish. You want to help people and make their lives better - I want to help myself and do something with my life. You want music and flowers and picnics and I want.. none of that. I want more. I want something else."
She bared her teeth and drew back her fist.
"Now let me go, Jerry. Right now."

"And I want to support you." His brows furrowed, his grip letting go just enough for her to pull her arm back until her hand was in his and he clamped down again before softening. "Just because you might not seen it doesn't mean I haven't changed... or can't continue to change. Please." His brain was ringing, panic just barely bottled.
Another one running away... to H. She had just said he wouldn't tell them anything, why would she be barging over there? And what would the man do once he found her in that state?
He fought the urge to vomit.
Alpha Wolf, Roar growled, just as on edge and at a loss.
"Spar with me." He finally blurted. Blow off the steam. Let her fight it out and see what happened. There was still hope. There was always hope.

Sasha cocked back and clocked Jerry in the nose.
Unless he moved, of course.
The violent action was swiftly followed by a shrieked, "Let me go!"

Like the blow to his groin, his fear shield took care of the pain beyond the initial blow. His grip remained tight.
Alpha Wolf.
"I'm a fully fledged Sun Hunter. It's going to take more than that if you really want to hurt me. Are you afraid to spar me, is that it?"
She needed to release the steam. Things would be okay.
They would not be okay if she stepped foot in H's office.

Sasha was quiet for a long moment.
Then she burst into laughter.

Jerry's brows furrowed, his face going red again. Even so, the offer still stood and his grip remained firm.

"You're," a choked burble of garbled laughter, "hurting my wrist, Jerry."

"To who? To the doctor? My division lead?" Sasha snorted, still laughing. "What if I say yes, because I have questions? Even if he can't answer them because of security or ********? What if I say I'm not running to the doctor, but I just want to get away from you?!"
She gave a tug of her hand.
"What do you want from me?!"

"I WANT YOU TO TRUST ME," He finally snapped, eyes wild and hand trembling on her's before he finally let go.

"Trust?" She looked incredulous. "Do you want to know where trust has gotten me?" Sasha moved towards the door.
"That briefcase and everything in it. That's where trust has gotten me."

The door was opened with a smooth twist of the knob. Sasha paused halfway through the door, glancing over her shoulder with a dark, insidious smile.
"I don't need your help."
The door closed behind her with a soft click.

Jerry stared at the door, mouth parted, the phantom memory of her blows aching as much as the verbal ones.
She had been distancing herself for a long time. Before she was captured. Since around the time he had been promoted. She didn't feel he could give her what she wanted.
How did he know what she wanted if she wouldn't let him in?
He gave a groan that drowned out Roar's worried growl in the back of his head, leg swinging around to stomp the torn dry-wall Nona had left, and yelped as the nail ripped from the stud and into his knee.
"W-well... well ******** ME FOR CARING!" He finally screamed, although she was more than likely far from earshot by then.
He wobbled, staring down at the flute case at his feet, his hands shaking as he gently lifted it, cradling it to his chest for several careful deep breaths.
He gathered up his own coat, and left.
