The string that he had been so determined to hang onto throughout the journey was gone now, but West didn't notice, his eyes cast downward at the urn instead. He was mad, angry, pissed, miffed, all of his best and basest emotions, but he held himself in check, even as he rose to his feet and their surroundings shifted. West kept himself under control because he was a little afraid not to, especially now. He took a step closer. "Yeah. We got this." He held out the portion of the artifact he had taken, only realizing then that they might have at least tried to get the thing to look like it was still in one piece. Oh well. Too late now.

The assortment of possibilities ran through her head. The horsewoman would either demand they complete some other task or place them in an even worse situation than they were currently in. They'd failed the task of bringing back the urn, as far as the tatzel was concerned. It had not been brought back in one piece. When Medea spoke of a half payment, Levi cleared her throat. Somethin' like that.The Priestess wasn't looking, but Levi too offered up her half of the broken urn as West had.

Medea however, seemed only intruiged as she went to inspect both halves of the broken artifact. She touched Levi's half first, which created a small spark, and then West's. "There is no greater bond than the one that love can create, and for that, you have given to me what I required the most." She smiled, a little to herself, and closed her hand into a fist, both halves of the urn dissolving as they trickled, bits of silver and gold, into her closed palm. When she opened it, it revealed a beautiful bracelet, one half gold, the other a burnished silver. "It will do nicely, and thus, your payment is half granted."
As she clipped the newly turned bracelet onto her wrist, she simply nodded. When both students looked for their sigils, there would be no trace. "As promised, half the payment had been fulfilled. The other half, it is not my doing, and simply your undoing. Without my protection, a dark crossroad had appeared in your path, a danger you are inevitably helpless to avoid. It is not in my nature to help however, unless you are willing to help yourselves. Sometimes everything you wish for may not be that simple, but if it is simply knowledge you seek, then the path lies open for all in a task of your own path." She craned her head to one side, giving a sort of interested look at West.

He had been expecting smiting. A lot of it. What they got instead was so far from that sort of retaliation that the boil stood speechless for a minute once Medea's mystical jewelry crafting was complete. He glared at the bracelet, then at the horsewoman who wore it, at least until she looked at him. He dropped his eyes to the floor and swallowed. "Thank you," West forced out. He didn't care how many dark whatsits or obstacles they'd just unleashed. As long as he could face them without some horseman's bridle strapped to his head, he'd be just fine. "Let's go." He held his hand out toward Levi for a moment, letting it drop before she might have had the chance to grab it. They'd be back to settle this, but right now he planned on spending a good long while staring at his naked arm. nekoluch he dropped his eyes watch out :B

How did she know? As far as Levi was concerned, there had been no signs that she and West were that close. It just fed into Levi believing that the horsewoman must see things in that pyre a lot. With the pieces of the urn they'd provided, Medea performed a rather remarkable bit of magic. It seemed their mistake of breaking the vessel hadn't actually been a grave error. Well I'll be gosh darned. An ear flickering to the click of the death pony priestess' new accessory. Can't be much worse than what we dun been through 'lready, I reckon. The ghoul was feeling a bit more confident now that she realized they'd successfully completed the task and was no longer branded like cattle. Rubbing at the area where her horseman mark once was, the tatzel sighed with relief, performing a sort of curtsy for Medea despite her wearing shorts. Thank yew fer keepin' yer word, Ma'am. West began his usual storming out of an area, so Levi trailed after him, not paying much mind to the offered and retracted hand. Although her tail did slink behind the boil, taking up his tail and coiling around it as they walked. Displays of affection? Nah. Zoobey I think this is a wrap? Unless Medea calls them back <3 Again, ty for plotting with us, Zoo ;w;
