Toni smirked at his question. She wasn't a genius for a reason... she knew they couldn't actually stop a phoenix force charged mutant... but they could slow him down until the God that probably can will. She grabbed onto the back of his uniform, where there was a small strap built into the suit, and took off, firing her thrusters and not even flinching as the building seemed to open up to her take off.
When they got to where Namor was, she landed, setting Venser down while maintaining flight. The Atlantian had seen them coming and glared at them with a hate neither could understand,
"A traitor has been among us? Why am I not surprised.... and you brought an Avenger... her head will look nice on my mantle." he said, his english was pretty broken, but luckily for Venser and Toni, he knew enough to be understood.
"Yeah... that ain't gonna happy Fish Breath..." Toni said, her speakers making her voice sound mechanical, but anyone who knew her voice well enough knew who she was, anyone else would probably assume she was an android with high tech AI. Before Venser could stop her, she shot off at Namor, firing two missiles at him. Namor merely shot streams of fire at each missile, detonating it before it came anywhere near him. One exploded too close to Toni, sending her flying through the air, her cry could be heard as Iron Maiden was engulfed in fire and smoke.
Inside her visor, a damage report flood the screen in red text. Toni could care less at that moment as she tried to regain her balance and stop herself in mid air, but her thrusters didn't respond fast enough as she was sent crashing through a building and threw several walls. Luckily, she didn't feel much, just the impact pressure on any part of her body where the armor was hit, it still hurt, but not enough to injure or cripple her. A bellow of smoke and dust pour out from the building where she had crashed into... Venser was on his own for a bit until she got out...

As soon as Iron Maiden set Venser down, the air got a hell of a lot hotter as Namor sensed their arrival. The Atlantian roared with a primordial ferocity and directed his rage at Toni, who was firing missiles at him in mid-air. Venser sprinted his way through the building rubble, trying to avoid the water as he tried to get behind Namor. He took the bow that was holstered at his back and fired a bolt at his back, using magnetism to propel the arrow as if launched from a railgun. It snapped against him, and Namor turned to him slowly.
"You would turn against one of your own leaders, BOY?" the last word was spoken with an explosive hint of anger, the sillouette of the Phoenix visible around him as he stormed toward Venser.
"Namor, I figured a leader of an entire damn civilization would know the value of respect from his subjects. How can you terrorize the populace to bend people to your will when you know someone will try to shoot you in the back?" He felt himself wavering, but he kept his best poker face and stared the menacing astral being in the eyes.
"Our leaders throughout history have shown that loyalty can never be found under an iron boot. I find it pretty ironic that after obtaining such a great power, you'd only stoop to their-" Venser was abruptly broken off by a roar of anger, with Namor swinging his arm too fast for Venser to react and sending a massive pyre erupting in an arc, sending Venser flying. If he wasn't in over his head before, he certainly was now. His powers seemed to respond on their own, emitting a magnetic field around him to stabilize him.

Toni yanked herself free from the rubble of the building. She was heavily annoyed now. The suit wasn't damaged much, but it was scrabbed up and paint had chipped. She hated whenever her suits got damaged and banged up, but it annoyed her even more when the bad guys got the first hit and made her look like a rag doll. She walked out of the rubble and stood before Namor, seeing Venser's powers flex on their own to protect him. He had a Self-Survival factor... something Magneto didn't have... it was something only the phoenix force and Wolverine had...
"Ya know, it really pisses me off when men think themselves above others... royalty or not..." she stated and stalked towards Namor,
"For hundreds of years... any man, human, alien, mutant or atlantian.... have held themselves above others... and dominated the weak!!" she shot off another missile, which Namor glanced off with his Triton, Toni used the distraction to leap onto him, connecting her fist to his face.
"Because they were too small to pick on others their own size!!" She shouted and drove another fist into the royal's face, making him stumble back. He seemed taken aback by her strength, even if the suit gave her above average human strength, she was hitting him beyond what the armor gave her. She rounded about and delivered a kick to his midsection, but he caught her leg,
"You want me to fight with someone my own size, do you??" he demanded and lifted her into the air by her leg, making her yelp,
"Not be you metal woman!" he shouted and tossed her in the same direction as he did Venser, sending a spiral of fire in after her.

As Venser got his bearings, Toni threw herself back into the fray, fighting it out with Namor in close combat. Venser could see that she was a proud fighter, but he hoped that pride wasn't going to cloud her vision too much. He levitated his field to get closer, but then Namor flung Toni right at him. He extended his hand and stabilized the girl easily enough, but what came after....he basically had milliseconds to act.
As he saw Namor wind up to fling another sun flare at them, Venser noticed a massive sheet of metal below them. With all his concentration he wretched it up to the ground, sending it spinning up to intrude on the projectile's path. It just barely managed to reflect the brunt of the blast before the rest melted its way through, but by then Venser and Toni were below him, his bow at the ready with three arrows fisted at the string.
"Now, Toni! Unleash war!" he yelled as he sent the arrows flying, the magnetic field spitting them out at super-sonic speeds while he reached in his quiver for more.

"JARVIS arm all weapons!" she ordered, every weapon, missile, laser and even flares unlocked themselves from the decks they were stocked onto, making Toni look twice as big right before every one of them fired and shot straight for Namor. The Atlantian disappeared in the chaos of fire and smoke. The shockwave threw Toni and Venser back a little as debris was sent flying as well.
Toni pushed herself up, finding herself faceplanted into the concrete, making a Iron Maiden shaped concrete angel. She opened her face plate and looked around for Venser, seeing him folded over a large piece of unearthed asphalt that stuck up several feet towards the sky. He had a bad gash somewhere on his skull that had blood oozing down his forehead and down the side of his face, along with several scrapes and lacerations along his body, thankfully, Hawkeye's uniform offered some protection. Toni herself had a few scratches across her face, and grease smudged her forehead. She looked over to where Namor had stood, the smoke had yet to clear. But all was silent, she let out a breath, that was a little more work than she would have liked... but it was too easy still... then she heard chuckling.

And before they had any time to react, a huge slab of crumbling concrete was flipped over the two young heroes, Submariner was hit directly by the exploding missiles, but he managed to use the smoke as cover to move beneath the two towards the end. He had sustained some damage.....but only about enough to get more pissed.
"Brave and foolish. Ah, how youth is wasted on the young...."
Namor stood over them, the concrete broken where Venser had tried to uphold the slab from beneath with magnetism. He raised his fist, igniting it with Phoenix Flame, and brought an earth-shattering punch down on Venser's torso. In a desperate last ditch effort, Venser focused all his power on the gauntlet on Namor's wrist, pulling back with all his strength.

Toni yelped as the punch still hit Venser, but probably with less force than the Atlantian intended. But Venser still flew across the streets, skidding and smashing into a building. If he was an ordinary human, it probably would have killed him, but Toni knew mutants were made of stronger stuff. Before she could get her face plate back into place, Namor turned his attention to her and wrapped a hand around her armored throat and hoisted her up.
"You... are the offspring of the man who fractured the Phoenix Force... I shall enjoy playing with you... then killing you..." his grip began to bend the metal protecting her throat, now effectively cutting off some air as Toni choked. Her fingers dug into Namor's arm, trying to push him off, but he must of been using the force even on her, because not even she could break his hold. Her eyes turned to the building Venser had crashed into, she hoped his powers had flexed to protect him again. Her vision started tunneling, they were in trouble.
Suddenly there was a crack and the area was bombarded with a rain of lightening, one hitting Namor with enough power to throw him off Toni. Oddly enough, while being in a huge electric conductor, the lightening did not touch her. She fell to the concrete, coughing harshly as she looked up to see the great Norse God land, his trusty hammer in hand.

Unfortunately, Venser did not have much consciousness to work with as soon as Namor hit him. He didn't totally understand his powers just yet, but he'd pretty much lost consciousness in mid air. Bouncing off the corner of a building, her crashed into another one. His ribs had various fractures, and he was stuck in the wall.
SHIELD agents repelled down the wall, with Medical soldiers crowding around him to assist him. It seemed that Thor had come in just in time.
"The God of Thunder?!" Namor's eyes flared with a celestial anger as Thor scowled at him, stomping toward him and bringing his hammer back for a full-bodied swing. The Atlantian King knew that he was against a bad match-up, but he wasn't about to back down. He kicked his Trident up from the ground, grasping it and churning up a tsunami to hit the city bock, a wall of water towering above the city as it came crashing down.

Toni's face plate came down just as the water hit. The streets flooded in 8 story high waters. Toni realized the SHIELD agents probably either got swept away or got to safety. But Venser was stuck in the wall, unconscious and most likely drowning. Knowing the Asgardian could handle it from here, Toni turned on her thrusters and swam towards where Venser was.
When she got there, JARVIS pulled up two screens, one for structural integrity for the surrounding wall around Venser, and one monitoring his vitals, which were fading. She quickly went to digging the guy out. Her helmet made hissing sounds as air was ventilated through, she wouldn't have much, so she was digging as fast as she could. A bolt of lightening shot out, crashing into the wall Venser was held in.
"Yeow!" Toni shrieked as she managed to get out of the way. The wall crumbled into rubble, freeing Venser. Toni quickly grabbed him up and shot off towards the surface.
Once she broke surface, she moved her face plate out of the way and looked down at Venser, still unconscious.
"Antoniette!!" A voice shouted, it was Fury's. Toni turned her head to see the Director fly down to her level, with a helicopter. He threw Toni a rope, which she caught and wrapped it around her arm, the Director and two agents with him pulled the two in. Toni let out a sigh,
"You have some explaining to do young lady..." the Director said, making Toni rolled her eyes, much like her dad did whenever the Director was mad at him... it was gonna be a long day...

Venser sputtered, his lungs kicking water out as he was sprawled out on the floor of the chopper. He glanced over his shoulder, noticing the famed Asgardian battling it out with Namor down below. The horizon raged with billowing clouds and lightning as it struck the surface again and again.
He pushed himself up against the wall, leaning to it with his arm clenching his chest. The medica agents rushed around him, seating him and trying to keep his vitals stable as he slowly let his addled senses come back into focus. Pain pierced through his torso. Large quantities of it. He managed to keep from passing out though, as he noticed a tall dark man arguing with Toni.

"Last time I checked one-eye, I don't work for you..." Toni's voice yowled,
"If you keep up that attitude, you will force my hand Stark! Something your old man knows very well of!" The Director's voice barked. Toni's helmet was completely off as a medic was wrapping gauze around her head, she ignored the man and glared daggers at the tall black man,
"I dare you to try it Fury..." she sneered. Obviously, love for the Director ran in the family... Both Starks baited and constantly argued with him. If it wasn't Tony making snide remarks and jokes while constantly hacking SHIELD, it was Toni butting heads with the older man and having screaming matches. When Venser coughed, it caught both their attentions,
"Welcome back kid..." the director said to Venser. Toni was too annoyed to show signs of compassion for the mutant. The Director always tried to keep her at bay and in the wings, leaving the original 6 Avengers to handle things. It was like he wanted to keep her existence a secret... something that never sat well with Toni... not only that, but he acted like she was just a kid running around with a big toy when it came to her suit. No matter how much she earned her medal, the Director always found fault in her.
The Helicopter sped off towards Stark Tower, knowing Tony would want his daughter returned to him once he found out she went out on a mission. Tony never wanted his daughter around SHIELD, worried about something he told no one of. Thor would be alright, plus Hulk was on his way to back him up. The Director turned to the young adults,
"The rest of the Xmen are withdrawing now after Thor's little light show... we'll keep tabs though. I suggest you two stay low..." Fury told them as they got off the copter, Venser needing assistance from the medic who handed him to Toni.
"Whatever..." she said and began to walk inside the Tower, support Venser as he hobbled along side her.
"You gonna make it?" she asked him softly.

"Mm, I think I can manage." he said, lifting his arm off her shoulder and straightening his posture. At the very least he didn't look as bad as he felt. Phoenix Force was really something else when that kind of galactic fury was compressed into one punch, but he wasn't quite as scared of it now that he'd experienced it first hand.
.....not that he was going to pick any roshambo matches with Namor anytime soon.
So that man was named Fury, was he? He supposed that made him Toni's boss, though she didn't seem too happy to see him, nor did she even try to fake any insincere politeness like people usually do with bosses they hate but have to put up with. Venser guessed that must have meant the team really needed Toni.
He followed Toni into Stark Tower, wondering what was going to happen next. He saw Mr. Stark standing at the base of a staircase, a very cold and stern look on his face that Venser thought he'd never see on the billionaire. Another man stood next to Stark.....who incidentally, seemed to be wearing the same outfit as Venser. Oh boy, he could only guess the two were really in for it now.

Toni was actually a bit surprised to see her dad back so soon after a fundraiser. If he was back this early... this meant not only was she going to get it from her dad... she was going to hear it from Pepper eventually. Toni didn't hang her head like a scorned child as they approached the staircase, but she kept in front of Venser, wanting to deflect any hostilities from him.
"You.... spoiled brat!!!" Was the first thing out of Tony's mouth as he pounced on his daughter, pinching her cheek hard,
"Dad!!" She yelped as shrunk under the man's hold,
"You went an attempted to repair your reactor ALONE?!" Toni knew he would be furious about that.
"I'm sorry daddy!" tears prickled her two toned eyes as he tugged on her bruising cheek. Clearly he was not at all upset she went out on a mission. He was use to his kid doing as she liked, and knew she could handle herself well enough in battle... but her reactor was another story.
"And you lent my spare to the kid??" Clint barked as he pinched her other cheek. Toni whimpered loudly as both men were on here, completely ignoring Venser. After a few more minutes of rambling apologies from Toni and a few more barks from her dad and Clint, both men let her go and Tony hugged his daughter tightly despite her still being suited up.
"Please stop scaring me like that... I'm too old for it..." Toni frowned and hugged her dad back... she hated making him worry, which is why she does what she does. Clint turned his attention to Venser,
"They both should see the infirmary... this kid can barely stand..." he said and helped Venser. Tony took a better look at his daughter and noticed she was a little banged up,
"Yeah... come on... I'll have Dummy bring something to eat.. by the way Nettie, Rhodey came back from Europe with your favorite chocolate..." Toni lit up instantly,
"Belgium Choco? He's the best!!" As Toni walked alongside her dad, JARVIS' mechanical arms came out to dismantle Toni's suit.
"Too bad you won't get them... its punishment..." Tony said and threw his nose in the air.
"Ehh??!! Daddy no!" It would have surprised anyone to see such an exchange between the superheros. Toni looked like your average daddy's girl, clinging to his arm and smiling brighter than the sun at him. And Tony looking like the worn out man trying to keep up with his kid and the business at the same time. Apparently, the Starks did have hearts...

Venser looked on blankly as the two older males teamed up on picking on Toni, the girl seemingly helpless as they pinched her cheeks and read her the riot act....though very little was mentioned about her going off to beat up on the big angry Phoenix Force abuser. A smirk tugged at the corners of his lips. It was kind of cute to see the family just being themselves, especially as Mr. Stark cruelly and hurridly gobbled up Toni's chocolate in front of her while Jarvis dismantled the armor pieces from her curvy figure.
The regular owner of Venser's suit came and gave Venser a hand, offering him little in the way of hard feelings about abducting his suit. If all else failed, he could just say Toni made him do it.
"The name's Hawkeye. You didn't tear my suit up too much, did ya?" Clint said as he lifted Venser's arm over his shoulder and hauled him off to the infirmery.
"Well, a Phoenix-infused Namor didn't punch his fist through my torso. For my first day as your stunt double, I think I did alright, sir."

In the Infirmary, Pepper, red as one herself with anger, began to tend to Toni's injuries while Clint began to wrap Venser's torso up. Toni waited for Pepper to blow into her, but the redhead just remained angry faced and quiet, something which had even Tony on edge. Toni finally turned to Venser,
"Sorry... about all this... I guess its kinda my fault..." Toni said softly, lowering her brown and blue eyes to the floor. That's when Pepper judo-chopped Toni in the head, making the girl yelp in pain.
"Of course it is! Who else is gonna be on the tabloids tomorrow... and who else made their father leave a very important fundraiser EARLY!!!??" If Toni had kitty ears, they would be hanging very low right now as she shrunk under Pepper's fiery gaze,
"It wasn't THAT important... and I shook enough hands that no one was THAT offended I left..." Tony mumbled, Pepper turned her icy glare to the elder Stark,
"I'd stay out of this if I were you Anthony..." she growled lowly. Just then Thor and Steve came into the infirmary. Thor had some scratches and dirt all over him, but he wore a cheesy smile,
"Victory is ours my friends! Midgard will rest well tonight!" Thor came over and checked on Toni's condition,
"Bravely fought maiden of iron... and you as well boy." Thor turned his attentions to Venser and gave him a hearty pat of the back, upsetting his ribs.
"Thor! Easy! I just sent his ribs!!" Clint yelled as the Asgardian laughed merrily despite Venser's coughing fit. Steve came up to Toni,
"That was very dangerous... but I'm glad you're alright..." he said softly and touched her head, Toni smiled softly,
"Sorry da-er Steve... I'm okay..." Toni glanced back over to Venser, wondering if he was really okay. Everyone was treating him like part of the team now... it was probably because he stuck with her in the fight and fought with HER... not Namor. Pepper finished cleaning Toni up and hurried out of the infirmary, still grumbling and mentioning something about paperwork.
"Think you can eat kid? Its Shawama night." Tony asked as he turned to Venser, everyone turned to Venser now, waiting his answer. Toni knew this was the final test...
