Michiyo grinned, glad for the good reception her present had gotten. Hugging Liv back, she let out a content sigh, "It's good to be back here in time. It has been forever since I have seen Headquarters and all of you, and I never like to miss out on a party. Had many well-wishes and nice presents yet?"
Releasing her and stepping back, Michiyo sent another glance across the crowded ballroom, 'Have you seen... Has everybody been able to make it?"

"A piggyback ride? Well... okay then." He grinned, patting her head. He'd promised Liv to look after her for the evening, after all. He crouched down so she could climb onto his back, securely fastening his arms around her legs. "Where to, miss?"
"Hmm." Sim made an agreeing noise and nodded, swallowing his food. "Very true. No day is ever the same here... Signor Lee makes sure of that." He shuddered. That man was honestly one of the scariest people he had ever met, which also made him terrified to utter a single word to his sister.

"Oh, I've had many wishes and presents already," she smiled and nodded. As Michi looked around the room, almost as though she might be trying to spot someone, Liv watched her. "Mostly everyone...there are a few people who haven't shown up yet..." she looked around too, thinking about Mishka. She knew he would turn up at some point, because he would never miss her Birthday Party. She kept looking around and tilted her head, making a small 'hm' noise.
"It looks like Sil hasn't been able to make it yet...in fact there are quite a few Exorcists missing...Chaoe, Kyle, Kanda...it seems Erin is also absent.." she slid her eyes back to Michi, watching her as she let the last name slip, thinking that was most likely who she was looking for. "I wouldn't blame any of them for not attending, I know they can't turn down or abandon missions."
Luci realized as Lavi lifted her from the ground, she had no idea where she wanted to be taken. She looked around with a little frown before spotting Jerry, "To Mr. Jerry!" she beamed, "I'm kind of hungry."

"It certainly keeps you on your toes, though." Star laughed at his reaction, not all minding the chaos she'd seen since transferring. It kept things interesting in her eyes and considering how easily bored the white haired girl was, she quite enjoyed the unpredictability.

"To Mr. Jerry!" Lavi repeated and he set off, maneuvering his way through the crowd of party goers to Jerry's cooking station. "Hello Jerry." He greeted the cook as they approached, letting go of Luci's leg for a second to wave at him. "Nice party you've set up."

"Good, a birthday should be full of both," she remarked with a smile, though slightly absent-mindedly. She nodded along as Liv listed off the many of their friends that had not turned up yet, with each realising that there were indeed quite a few of them not yet there, despite the already pretty packed room.
She didn't notice any particular design behind Liv's mentioning of the last name, but instead focused more on attempting to keep the relief that flooded her from showing all too evidently on her face. Her last encounter with the Excorcist in question had not ended on good terms, to say the least, and she didn't feel quite up to facing him. Avoiding him on missions and in the Castle was easy enough, but parties such as this one always seemed to bring them all together.
Her eyes fell on a familiar mop of red hair, and her face screwed up in a bemused frown as she took in the mass of little girl stuck to his back, "Eh... who is that little dear currently attached to Lavi? I didn't know we had any young children staying with us... except for Chaoe of course."

"Hm... I suppose..." Sim shrugged a little, eyebrows creased. He wasn't quite so keen on Komui's antics, the last thing he wanted when coming back from a mission to be chased down by robots brandishing an array of crazy potions in those now infamous little darts. From the corner of his eye, he noticed his sister entering the Ballroom as well, and he gave her an enthusiastic wave before returning his attention to Star. "What was your former Branch like...? Also so... crazy?"

Luci grinned and waved her hand enthusiastically at Jerry, "Mr. Jerry!"
"Lavi, Miss Luci!" he grinned and bowed, bouncing around in a bubbly way as he prepared some food, "Thank you Lavi," he bowed again humbly at the compliment.
"Mr. Jerry, will you please make me something to eat? I'm soooo hungry!" Luci begged him.
"Of course, doll~ Anything for my sweet baby-girl~ Just as soon as I'm done with this, " he finished up on the meal he was already preparing before handing it off to one of the members of the Science Division. "Anything for you, Lavi?"
"....Oh," Liv let out a small sound when she remembered that Michi hadn't met Luci yet, "Um...you remember me telling you about Luci...that time at Christmas, when you helped with the boxes?"

"It was... far calmer than here," Star said slowly, "The branch head, Bak, could be a bit... eccentric at times, and we had a few oddballs here and there, but I suppose there was a bit of normalcy that seems lacking here. At least there you had a pretty good idea of what you could expect."

"Hm... for some strange reason I'm really in the mood for pancakes..." Lavi replied, nodding to confirm his decision. He turned his head slightly to glance at Luci over his shoulder. "What are you going to get, Luci?"
"Oh, I see..." Sim nodded, having heard similar things from Order members that had transferred Branches. "Why did you transfer, if you don't mind my asking...?"

Michiyo eyes widened as she remembered, her mouth forming a small 'o', "Oh right!" she exclaimed, glancing back for a moment at Liv before focusing her attention back on the duo that had now sidled up to Jerry's little cookery station, "That's Luci? She looks absolutely adorable!" Grinning widely at Liv, she went on, moving slightly away, "I think I'll go and see if Lavi's up to introducing me to his new girlfriend. I'll catch back up with you in a bit~" With a small wave, Michiyo headed off towards Jerry and the others.

Luci started wiggling when Lavi mentioned pancakes, "Oooh, me too, please! Blueberry pancakes! And bacon!" she grinned excitedly.
Liv smiled and laughed a little, "Yeah, that's her. She lives here with me, now. You can tell her you're a friend of mine, I'm sure she'll be ecstatic to meet you," she waved Michi off.

"Change of scenery, perhaps?" She said jokingly before shrugging her shoulders, "I guess the Asian Branch was just getting..." She paused, unsure how to phrase it before continuing, "Something just didn't feel right for some reason, I really don't know how to explain it. When I asked for my transfer they seemed reluctant but... well, here I am."

hyber's stomach growed, and she sighed, standing up from her corner. It was time to get up, and introduce herself, and congradulate the lucky person who the party was for. She took a pink flower, and started to walk, deeply breathing. It was important not to panic was her thoughts as she approached the woman in a pink silk dress.
