Varteres was doing somersaults in his head, a smile spread across his lips in reality. He couldn't believe he was hearing her right about possibly accepting his offer.
"I assure you, fair lady, my heart is very much in the right place. I do not want any harm to come to you and I want to be the one to keep you safe,"he assured.

Nightingale smiled and blushed as her wings flexed nervously. "I... want you to be the one at my side as well..., Varteres..." She said brightly, her teal eyes looking up at him with sincerity.

Varteres's smile widened at her words and he reached over to nuzzle her.
"Very well, then you now have the services of one knight in shining armor, here to protect the beautiful lady. I am happy you want me by your side, Gale,"he told her gently.

Nightingale blushed slightly and looked down, trying to hide the blush in her eyes. "Is that all you will be for me, Varteres? My knight?"

Varteres thought about the question a moment, then shook his head, his mane flowing in the breeze.
"No, I would like to be so much more to you, if you will let me. I want to be your knight, lifemate, and your own loving prince,"he admitted quietly.

Nightingale smiled up at him, her wings laying back against her back as her whole exterior brightened. "I would love to be your lifemate, Varteres." She said simply, watching her with bright eyes.

Varteres had been holding his breath while he waited for a reply and when she answered, a bright smile came to his lips.
"Then, my sweet Gale, you will be my lifemate and you now will have a loving family. You will never be alone again and we will be together as long as life allows us to be,"he told her, gently nuzzling her.
