Oh, well if it was for scarelings...he put the tattoo with Alexander's things. Yin looked down as Alexander slipped the ring onto his finger, not really intending to wear it necessarily but fine to wear it now that it was on him. For a moment he held his hand up, admiring the spider, somewhat wishing that it was real because it would be rather delicious. "Thank you," he murmured. He quickly scanned the area one more time before turning his attention back to the capsules. Out came a miniature rubix cube keychain, which he twisted, turned, had no idea what the purpose was and just set it down between them. Then there was a voodoo doll which Alexander seemed to collect so that was passed over to the zomboil. The last one that he had to open contained a small figurine, a little ghost minipet with a pumpkin nose. Yin stared at it for a long moment, studying it and turning it this way and that. This figure looked familiar...was it in the picture book? "Who is this?" he queried, trying to remember.

Alex wasn't too likely to use the temporary tattoo, but he supposed he could save it and maybe give it to his little brother the next time he saw him, so he shoved it in with everything else despite not caring much for it. "No problem." Was his cheerful reply, chuckling inwardly just because Yin had left the ring on rather then take it off. For some reason that was both amusing and somewhat pleasing to the zomboil.
Alexander picked up the rubix cube as soon as it was set down to start twisting it this way and that himself, studying it intently with narrowed eyes, but then also discarded it back into the pocket of his backpack as soon as the voodoo doll was offered to him, adding it alongside the other two.
He then shifted his attention back to Yin and the figurine in his hand when the question was asked, smile returning full force. "That, is Zero. Jack Skellington's ghost dog minipet. I'd keep it safe, it's likely a special edition and a collectors item." His phone buzzed in his pocket again, reminding him that he had missed an earlier message, and he pulled his phone out to take a look. Oh ya, the pictures he asked his mom to send. He grinned to himself before tapping the screen a couple of times to hold the phone out for Yin to see.
"And here is my new baby brother." The zomboil was obviously proud, despite the fact that he had at first been rather upset with his parents for the new addition to the family for reasons he didn't care to explain.

Ah, yes, it was from the book. Jack Skellington's pet itself. Yin looked at it, words like special and collectors running through him. "Maybe you better keep it," he said with a frown, holding it out for the zomboil just in time to see the screen that was being presented to him.
The sight the greeted him was of someone that looked remarkably like the zomboil himself. If he just grew up a bit...quite a bit...added some wounds and stitching, and dyed his hair a bit they would be almost identical it seemed. "Nicholas is his name, correct? Your parents must be pleased with him." Well, they probably were, and they probably did not mind that it was another boil rather than adding ghouls. He was glad to know that this small scareling would not just be passed over by the Van Rotte's for his gender. The Lady would not allow that he was sure. "Do you like that he looks so much like you? Perhaps his appearance will help so that your mother does not miss you quite as much." Really, the workings of a family were still a bit too complex for Yin to understand.

"No no, it's yours! Here, I'll keep it in my bag for now, but you should keep it." He insisted, reaching out to take the figurine and set it down with all the rest in the front pocket of his backpack before zipping it up. He did this all while keeping his eyephone pointed towards Yin in his other hand. allowing the other boil a chance to see his little brother before he was pulling the phone away and scrolling through the several pictures his mom had sent.
Apparently she was rather proud as well.
"Yes." He affirmed the name, before finally putting the phone back in his pocket and slinging his backpack over his shoulders once more.
"Ya I mean...I guess it's kind of neat that he looks like me. It's a little bit bizarre, actually." How could Alex even begin to describe what his initial feelings had been, and what they still were, to some lesser extent? He didn't feel like he could...not without coming off sounding like a completely selfish a*****e, anyways.
He pushed himself up from the bench, holding a hand out towards Yin as he continued. "I think he keeps her distracted enough that she doesn't have time to think about missing me." He said with a smile, waiting for Yin to be standing with him.
"Come on, clothes should be ready now."

Then again, keeping the figurine safe meant that Alexander was probably not the best choice to keep it. But it was done now. He simply smiled and nodded at the bit about the scareling, not knowing the difficulties Alexander had faced or any less than positive emotions that he may have had.
As they got up to go to get the clothing he looked around again. But he also felt a bit more relaxed than he had earlier. He was still hyper aware, but he was no longer crushing Alexander's hand. No longer dragging him this way and that but only once veering from a straight path. Maybe things were going to get better and he could learn how to cope. It could only go uphill from here.
