No, he wasn't willing to forgive his parents just yet for the choices they made over his life, and he didn't want to see them until he was prepared to offer them a chance at redemption - even when he was ready for that, there was still the chance his parents would reject the opportunity. He hadn't exactly gotten permission before leaving, and he hadn't been keeping in touch more thoroughly than the occasional letter to assure them that he was still alive. He could foresee his father being very angry if he indeed returned...

Could have, should have, would have, as the saying went. He wasn't going to rely on his parents for information unless it was necessary.

Silent time, huh? That was fine too; he was kind of worn out. He eventually wound up seated again, twisted so that his arms were folded atop the backrest. He came to realize, after some time caught at the outermost edge of napping, that it was no longer comfortable to look at the windows. The reason for this seemed to be that the sun had begun to reemerge from the sheets of clouds that still spat fleeting raindrops; the light was amplified by the drops clinging to the outer side of the window. He stared briefly, as though offended by the sunlight, before coming to the due realization, "Ah, it stopped raining." More or less, anyway. It was clear enough to walk a good distance without getting soaked, and that was what was important.

What a charmer. Luke frowned but otherwise avoided validating the statement with a reply. He would take much longer before he made his motions towards leaving, taking time stretching the limbs that he hadn't moved at all for however long he had been zoned out, reacquainting himself with an upright position, and shaking the wrinkles out of his jacket. It was a little dizzying to be moving again, and that was... kind of strange, actually. He couldn't remember a time when exhaustion had lasted so long or so persistently. Or maybe he was just over-thinking because of Asch's ominous suggestion? That was probably it, but it wouldn't hurt to have his overall well-being assessed and confirmed for the sake of sleeping a little easier at night...
