Hufflepuff|2nd year|Muggle-Born|Single Why must I be judged upon the purity of my blood? Steele finally started after partially daydreaming. "Sorry about that," he said ehile playing. He hoped she didn't get too nervous. She was nervous just singing it to him, let alone four people, but he would not mention that of course because she wamted to try it. Will I ever be the same?

What am I doing? Performing my song..
What am I thinking? Gulp... For Ari... Katrina played her opening on the piano, but when the time came to sing, her voice caught in her throat. She replayed the intro, bringing it back around to the part where she was supposed to sing and glanced up at Ariana through her hair, masking where her eyes were focused. Ariana's smile gave Kat strength and made her heart flutter. For Ari, she thought to herself and drew in a calming breath. "Here I am, once again," she began slowly. "Feeling lost but now and then; I breath it in, to let it go." Her voice gained a little strength as she got into her song. As Steele picked up with the guitar, she smiled, looked up and stopped playing the piano. "And you don't know where you are now,
With what it will come to,
If only somebody could hear.
When you figure out how,
You're lost in the moment,
You disappear."As the music took her, Kat began to dance, smiling and twirling as she sung happily, fully feeling the song. "You don't have to be afraid to put your dreams in action,

She was what he needed at the moment, the one to make this song reach levels that are almost unimaginable. Steele was semi-good at Quidditch, but his best was writing and mixing songs on his song board. He was extremely bright, brighter than a lot of kids may think he was.
"That's great. I'm going to need to run some things by you then. By the way, I'm Steele...Steele Thompson," he said, a bright smile on his face. The girl was cute, but that was beside the point at the moment. Will I ever be the same?

Hufflepuff|3rd year|Muggle-Born|Single Why must I be judged upon the purity of my blood? Steele sat in the music room alone, at the piano with his guitar in his lap. He started playing the piano, a tune that may be familiar to some, but probably not.
"One thing, I don't know why. It doesn't even matter how hard I try. Keep that in mind, I designed this rhyme, to explain in due time. All I know, time is a valuable thing. Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings. Watch it count down to the end of the day, it ticks life away. It's so unreal. Didn't look out below; watch the time go right out the window. Trying to hold on but didn’t even know Wasted it all just to watch you go
I kept everything inside and even though I tried, it all fell apart What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when
I tried so hard...And got so far... But in the end... It doesn't even matter... I had to fall...To lose it all... But in the end... It doesn't even mattttter, he sang aloud, not really expecting someone to hear it. But maybe someone did. Who cares? Will I ever be the same?

She recognized the song as being from a band called Linken Park. When he stopped singing, she stepped into the room and clapped her hands. "Pretty good, Steele," she said.
