Danny bounded out of the car almost as fast as Amphi did, running to get wherever they were going, before she realized exactly where they were going. The door opened and a blast of cold air hit her. She could see people inside through the clear windows, gorging on the disgusting cream of ice. She still didn't understand the appeal.
Nope. Nope nope nope.
She stopped abruptly, toes touching the threshold of the building. There was no way you could make her go in there willingly. Except ...
Except Amphi. She frowned back at the people behind her, searching for help that wouldn't be found. "Uhhhh ... I'm just gonna ..." Gonna what? Not go in there? Amphi.
Danny was stuck.

Roch almost ran over her. "Either in or out, Danny," he said, squeezing past her and to the counter.
"Darklin," Vegas said from behind Danny a second later. "Just because you're near eye scream doesn't mean you're gonna get knocked out." One huge hand dropped on her shoulder.
