He turned around to face Fudou-chan "Oh, outside will be fine. In here you'll just disturb the others. Remember to listen to each other if you've had enough or want to rest a bit before continuing. Being unconscious would really hurt your grades!" he said with a smile as he roughed up the boys hair back and forth before taking a seat at his desk. He rested his chin against his open palm as he watched his students run off to sparring and focusing on their seals. Ah! He felt such care and love for these young kids. "This is going to be a great class!" he thought to himself as his optimistic point of view soared like an eagle in his head.

11 – 1 = 10 Success ---- Assignment Complete

There were only two signs left for Amaya to complete and she was actually kind of excited about it. First off she was going to do the monkey seal. These last two were basic, so she didn’t foresee them taking too much time or effort. The monkey was simply palm to palm while lacing the thumbs and pinkies together. As she expected, this was a very easy one, even for her, and it was in front of her without much ado about it. Then there was the dog…which appeared to be even easier. This was just a flat palm resting on the back of a balled up fist. With that, Amaya had completed the first assignment at the academy. There was a little rise of joy in her chest as that little smile remained on her lips from before.

However, this left Amaya in a bit of a pickle. She was done, but other students weren’t. There wasn’t another assignment for her to move on to and she didn’t want to be rude and request the next one. It had just been that she was excited, so she propelled through it pretty quickly. Then there was her crippling shyness when she first met people. Her sensei was far too loud and energetic for her to approach on her own. Even if she did, what would she say? She placed her hands in her lap and she stole a quick glance at the teacher before returning her eyes to the table. Maybe he would notice and give her something to do while the other students were working on their assignments. However, she stole another glance up and couldn’t help but notice the kind, almost loving, smile on his face as he sat there watching them. It wouldn’t take her long before she was able to go up and talk to him, but she wasn’t there quite yet.

(ooc: Great, looks like I jumped from 1 hand seal to 5 with the new changes XD Let's see if the dice is still rigged... Yes, I am officially proclaiming this dice as rigged. -_-)

4 + 1 + 3 = 8 fail? D: You've gotta be kidding me. T^T

Laughing at the silly hand gestures that the teacher showed her, Sakura followed suit and relaxed her fingers with some stretching and tried again, this time. The meditation and stretching really didn't seem to help though, as she fumbled through the hand signs. She had saved "Tora" for last, since it wasn't going to be that much of a problem, but "Uma", Horse, was killing her fingers. It wasn't that the signs themselves were that difficult, but trying to do them quickly was what was making it complicated, as the hands attempted to curve in instead of keeping straight. Looking to her side, she saw Amaya-san already finished with the assignment, which quickened her pace. She didn't want to have to be the one to slow any of her classmates down, and decided she'd pace herself for the next one and get them right this time.

'Well, some say that starting with one that you know will ease pressure, kind of like repeating a mantra or katas. I'll start in order again," she thought as she made the easiest seal for "Tora". It meant Tiger, and was her favorite, ever since she had learned that it was often associated with fire releases. She loved fire, and most of the people in her clan were fire types too. She had squealed in delight when the special paper made to determine their elemental affinities had burst into flames. She enjoyed the warm light of the fire, and this was thus the first seal she had ever learned. Spinning another trace amount of chakra into the seal, she moved on to the next one, feeling good so far.

Next up was "Mi", which was also ridiculously easy to do. Clasping her hands together like in a prayer, she held it there and formed the shape of the Snake, feeling great again. Now she was on the roll. 'Maybe the meditation and stretching exercises were kicking in after all,' she thought, as she formed the next seals. 'Ne' 'Uma' 'Saru', she thought to herself as she formed them one my one. The first one was similar to 'Tora', so she curled her hands a bit more around her index and middle finger. She finally got the seal for horse correct, and she smiled a bit before flipping her hands quickly to make the next one of the set, Monkey. It looked like she was holding hands with herself, as she relaxed her hold to get ready for the final two that were left.

Looking by how things were going, however, she would most likely fail before making it work. They'd just have to find out, ne?

11 + 1 = 12 Pass! [Lesson Complete]

Focusing once again, she thought of the last two. What were they again? 'U' and 'Hitsuji', she recalled, as she made the appropriate signs. For the Hare, she slid her pinkie into the space between her thumb and index, then switched to the last one, Ram, which was easily done, since it resembled 'Ne', Rat. Also making a mental note to never confuse them, she memorized them to heart. Going over the 12 hand signs again, she fluidly did them in consecutive order twice over, grinning. Now she was getting the hang of things, and it was looking good so far. Shānnarō!!

Turning to the teacher, she sent a smile, meaning to convery the message that she had finished memorizing them all, while scanning the rest of the room. The two Inuzukas hadn't done anything yet, it seemed. Well, maybe the teacher would give her some extra assignments to do to wait while the rest of the class finished the hand seals. She would also ask for some ideas to train on her own so she could do them at home. Some practice with dummies and senbon would be a good idea, or maybe she would just run some laps around the courtyard herself. Either way, she'd make sure to do something. Seeing the teacher, she smiled. He seemed so nice with the serene smile on his face. Even if he was a little surprising, he really seemed to love his students. She'd make sure to work harder, just to see him smile.

"Oh sorry! I forgot to mention something!" he exclaimed before he started to look through each drawer in his desk, until he found one that was filled with scrolls. "These scrolls contain every lesson and many examples of extra credit activities that you are able to do while waiting for the next lesson. Although, I much rather have you be here on my lessons when learning techniques instead of learning from a scroll, since I am a human being with experience and not a piece of paper that will tell you the same thing over and over again" he smiled at his own joke "hey I am getting better at this" he said to himself as he started to walk around the classroom and handing out scrolls. "Right now, if you're finished with the handseals, you can begin molding chakra" he reached his desk again and took a seat "molding chakra means that you mix together the two energies in your body, again the spiritual and the physical. This is the secound step, after learning handseals, to create an actual jutsu. So, begin by choosing a handseals that you like and then get to work! Try getting your chakra visible, that is always an appreciated goal in this exercise"

"Thank you," Yuki said to the Chūnin sensei as she spread her scroll and looked through the list. Henge... Nawanuke... Ooh Bunshin no jutsu, she noted, interested. She had always wanted to see what it would be like to see herself as a bunshin. Would she know the other's thoughts, and would it think like her? It was so fascinating, especially since her parents had said that they couldn't really explain. That just made it all the more curious. Jibaku Fuda: Kassei was also something that looked like fun. She would enjoy the explosions and pretty red and orange flames when she made them burst into flames. Skimming through the rest, she rolled the parchment back up and tucked in into somewhere safe just in time to hear him ask the students to practice molding chakra when they were done with the hand signs.

Opting for Tora, the easiest to make and maintain for her, she closed her eyes and concentrated on the internal movement of her chakra, which seemed to be moving in a spiral, clockwise. She figured it would be this way, since her mother had told her while brushing her hair, that it spiraled clockwise. Further inquiry had revealed that this direction matched the internal swirling of chakra. Her mother had let her see her own hair and later she had peeked at her father's, which were all clock-wise. It must have been the genes, she had noted back then. Well, now was time to mold it. Exactly how to mold it was a problem, but she figured if she kept toying around with it, it would work out some way or another. Soon enough, she felt the warm rush of chakra throughout her body, and with it, the sensation of almost grasping something, a source of power, almost tangible. Excited, she reached out even more, spinning it around a little quicker.

"Sensei can I do some training on my own? We're way too far ahead to be stuck doing simple hand seals. Isn't that right Chisana?" Pakku asked with grin as Chisana happily barked back her approval. Pakku didn't want to waste time on the basic academy stuff, he's was too strong for that. "Please Sensei? Here let me show you." Pakku said as he formed each seal with his hand, and gathered enough chakra for a light glow to form.

8 = Fail...

Everything was going quite well, and she had almost grasped the chakra. It was at the tip of her fingers, and she was ready to reach out and grab it when....

"Sensei can I do some training on my own? We're way too far ahead to be stuck doing simple hand seals. Isn't that right Chisana?"

Snap. Sakurayuki lost all grasp of her chakra that she had going until now. Opening her eyes and turning around, she watched, awed, as Pakku made the hand seals easily and faintly glowed with chakra. It seemed he had a pretty good hang of molding as well. She didn't know that he was advanced as well. How old were they all? It seemed like she was a bit more further behind than she would have liked so far. Maybe she'd get him to help her if she got stuck again. Slightly annoyed that she had been interrupted but glad to see a good example of chakra molding, she started again with the process. His molding seemed a bit more focused, while her chakra spiraled haphazardly. She kept that in mind as she turned away, parted her feet to shoulder length, bent her knees slightly, and made the seal for Tora again, grasping at her chakra once more.

This time, after noting Pakku's example, Sakura focused her chakra spinning into a single point, or at least, tried to as much as she could. She wove her chakra into a clockwise swirl again, more focused and in one direction this time. It was working a little better than she expected this time, and she was excited to see that she could almost feel the chakra again flowing in her body and tenketsu points. She was positive that this was the right method, and kept going in an attempt to grab and mold her chakra completely. Falling into an almost meditative trance, Sakura then eased the flow and spread it out into her limbs, then fingers and toes as she felt the tingling sensations from the rapidly spinning chakra. It was working now, and a little more responsive than before.

Amaya had only been sitting there for a few minutes when Ko-sensei seemed to spring to life, passing scrolls out to the students. This contained not only all of their required lessons, but extra credit assignments to pass the empty time as well. Ko-sensei suggested the chakra molding assignment, which seemed the most logical at this point. She had her signs down and the girl was excited to begin working with chakra. Amaya wasn’t used to people using chakra, having come from a civilian family. She had seen people in the village use it occasionally, but they were mostly children showing off what they had learned at the academy that day. So it was sloppy and crude in comparison to the adult shinobi.

The small girl held off on starting her assignment quite yet, since Sakura seemed to be giving it a go. Amaya made some small notes as Sakura succeeded in her first try. However, her attention was quickly drawn by the one who had been introduced to her as Pakku. He was one of the two Inuzukas in the class. The boy created visible chakra, which was fairly impressive in Amaya’s eyes. Wait, that meant that he was also advanced. With this information that cut the people at Amaya’s level down to three, including herself. That was also assuming that the female Inuzuka was at her and Sakura’s level as well.

While everything happening around her was interesting, Amaya decided it was time to retreat back to herself and begin the new task at hand. With a caring gaze, the girl read over the assignment in the scroll twice to make sure that she completely understood. Taking in a slow, deep breath, the child focused on her center while holding the tiger hand seal. She felt an odd rushing sensation as her spiritual energy began to move within her, mixing and meshing with her physical energy. It was a bizarre feeling, but she liked it. However, she didn’t last very long since this was her first attempt. None the less, Amaya was proud of her first attempt being as successful as it was. Releasing the seal, the girl opened her eyes and eased her focus so that she could prepare for the next attempt.

Falling into a deeper trance, Yuki gathered her chakra again and wove it into a big clockwise movement, feeling and getting used to the rush of chakra. It felt good; the tangible feeling of chakra, and the warm glow that she felt. It did get a little repetitive after a while, but she wasn't one to complain. A couple more minutes had seemed to pass, and she felt the chakra slowly gathering more speed under her control. It was now more... fluid, instead of still and stiff, like at first. It was easier to manipulate too, and seemed to follow her directions more readily. Sakura slowly packed the chakra into a point, and reached out to grab it again.

'Just a little bit more,' she thought as the chakra was almost in her grasp. Stretching her chakra manipulation skills to the limit, she succeed in grabbing the mass of power, and triumphantly wielded the ball inside her. Now she decided that she would need to focus again and mold it more so it would be more malleable for her own needs.

Shiro yawned again as started waking up for the sparing match. "It's Fudou." the other boy said a correction to his Akio. "You're too uptight Fudou, you should relax a little bit. It's a lot more fun." Shiro told the boy as they walked out the door at the back of the class room to head to the grounds outside. Having never spent much time with Akio before Shiro wondered why he was so serious. Maybe it's the hair? he thought to himself as he looked at Akio's strange hair style. What ever the reason he was sure that Akio wasn't going to tell him anytime soon. When they were out on the grounds of the Academy, Shiro looked to see if he had an opening to make the first move.

Giving herself a chance to relax after the small rush of chakra, Amaya noticed the little twinge of energy having left her body. It wasn’t a physical drain, instead it was a drain on the chakra that she hadn’t had any conscious awareness of before today. This was something that she was looking forward to teaching her brothers. While the way of the shinobi may not be their choice later on in life, she still wanted to give them a clear idea of what it was like. Then again, she would have to figure it out for herself as well.

Pushing her infant brothers out of her mind, Amaya refocused on the center that she had found earlier. With a deep breath, she felt the moving, swirling sensation again; but something was different this time. While she was feeling the chakra moving within her, the girl couldn’t feel it meshing with her physical energy. Not feeling anything combining, the girl released her focus and felt the slight dissipation of her chakra. This was something that was going to take some getting used to. Amaya made a mental note to do as many chakra strengthening exercises as she could get a hold of in the future. She knew that her endurance was very low and finite, so this particular task might take some extra time if she had to give herself time to rest.

"Oh, I am sorry Pakku!" he said as he started to go through the boy's profile papers. "Someone must've forgotten to add your details.." he scratched his head in confusion "Well.. If you haven't learned Nawanuke, you should occupy yourself until then. Do whatever training that fits your style until everyone else has finished, does that sound okay?" he put the papers aside and started to dribble on the next lesson. The lesson would probably make everyone alittle upset with him but, it was needed, he knew it. Alittle pain never hurt anyone.. No, that's false, pain hurts.
