With both of the bidoofs fainting, Mortimer gave a whoop of joy, throwing one fist in the air as he did so. They had did it! A frown appeared on his face when Doyle threw a pokeball at them though. That boy, having another pokemon? Not if he could help it!
Without hesitation, the elderly trainer fished out his lone pokeball and threw it at both of the fainted pokemon, hoping to catch one of them.

Fay watched as the bidoof's went down and her pokemon gave a grumble of pleasure at watching them fall. Though that wasn't all that Fay watched. She noticed the pokeballs come out and wasn't about to sit this one out. With two other competitions, she 'magically' made her pokeball re-appear and tossed it at the bidoof, in hopes her ball would hit first.

After the excitement of battle, Fay pulled an Enigma berry out of her pockets and fed it to Rumble, as he took a pretty nasty hit in the battle. Soothingly rubbing his head, she urged him forward as she peered around yet another corner, but this time, decided to go in first herself. Of course, with her luck, she'd landed her and her pokemon right in a poison trap. So much for that enigma berry....

As the cloud of poison descended upon the, Koorie covered her mouth and began coughing as her lungs rejected the inhalant. Her head began to swim a little, but she pressed on, realizing that if she really needed to she had a couple of Lum Berries curtisy of the crazy doctor from the ship.

The wounded bidoof didn't have any leftover strength to move, especially when three Pokeballs were thrown at it at once.
It leaves behind 5 mysterious coins as it is captured.

All the exits slam shut. Scrawled into one of the large stones in the room were some letters. Can bidoof write?
(( Anyone can try to solve this. Post the phrase before continuing the step, below. ))
6 low tunnels reveal themselves. They are evenly spaced out from each other, and there does not seem to be any markings on them to determine which is which.
Take turns rolling 1 6-sided die and try to get what the puzzle says to go into the right tunnel. The rest of the tunnels twirls and wind, but end up at dead ends.

Fay stared hard at the scribbles in the stones, and after mulling it out with her group, it clicked to her what the phrase was. "The longer you stay, the more the ground crumbles. Make haste to the three." she said and blinked at her group mates.
THE GROUND STARTS SHAKING AND CRUMBLING BENEATH YOUR FEET. NOT AGAIN WITH THE FALLING! RUNNNNN!

As the ground began to shake, Fay began to panic. With a startled yelp she cast a panic gaze at her group, scooped up her teddiursa and ran to any safe, not falling ground place, she could find first!
Genesis released a sigh of relief once it became clear no one else would come to avenge the fallen two (for now, at least). She didn't know how they would escape, or what they would do once they did get out, but at the very least if the Bidoofs came in small groups, they could wipe out a number of them easily. She had received a small hoard of berries from the ship for emergency use, too, and she was sure the others had as well. She only hoped they wouldn't need to use them soon.
And that's when they walked into the poison traps.
Erebos, brought back to thoughts of the present, wasn't so willing to tolerate the old man's presence any longer. He growled threateningly, but the tone changed from anger to surprise when he felt the ground shake beneath his feet.
Urging his trainer forward, they ran towards the closest door.
Erebos: 75/100 HP [Poisoned]

The correct door was found and the group escapes... for now.
Mortimer coughed as the poison dispersed around the group, covering his mouth. That stuff sure was potent. Hastily, he rummaged through his pockets and retrieved a Lum Berry, feeding it to Herbert after the smoke was well and away. Might as well use it since he had it.
Herbert perked up when Erebos started to growl. Thinking that he had a playmate, he lunged at the lucario and missed as the ground started shaking beneath their feet. Scared shitless, the pokemon curled up into a fluffy ball behind his trainer, trembling.
Cursing, Mortimer grabbed the growlithe by the scruff and started dragging him as fast as he could towards the door that Genesis went through.
"Barbie, are you alright?" he asked, once he yanked the still shaking Herbert through the door. The growlithe whimpered, and clung to his owner's side, almost knocking the elderly man over as he pushed against the man's leg.

Herberts ears went from their flattened state, to straight and erect as he heard the minute scuffle of paws hitting pavement. Excited, he got up, wagging his tail to and fro and raced towards the sound.
Before: Herbert: 95/100 Bidoof: 50/50 Mortimer followed his growlithe as quickly as he possibly could, getting there moments after the growlithe had found the one lone bidoof. With a grin, the elderly man shouted "Go get 'im boy! Use bite!"
Herbert lunged at the pokemon, yet miscalculated his jump and missed, accidentally hitting his head upon one of the temple's walls. The bidoof took that opportunity to strike back at Herbert, unfortunately, grabbing one of his legs.
