Owner: T3h Jinji Name: Volvagia Meaning: Named for the Fire Temple boss in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. He's a great red dragon who lives in magma and lives to destroy thanks to his brainwashing at the hands of Gandondorf, and flies without benefit of wings. Reason: First I saw his mother's name and figured a dragon name would be good. Then I saw his father's red scales, his mother's red patterns, and it seems to be perfect to find a red dragon. While Volvagia is evil, it's stated ingame that he was corrupted by an outside force, and the manga accompanyment said he'd actually been a good friend of the Hero of Time before his corruption. The combination of good and evil makes him one of my favorite characters. smile I want the Aurora box!I want the Orange and Black box!

Name: Melanchthon Pelagios
Meaning: Black earth Of or belonging to the sea
Reason: I looked up the meaning behind both parent's names and wanted to incorporate that into the name. In Babylonian myth Tiamat was the personification of the sea, appearing in the form of a huge dragon. However, the god Marduk (her great-grandson) defeated her, cut her in half, and used the pieces of her body to make the earth and the sky. So I can only imagine that somehow the earth would be tainted with her blood and the negative emotions (sadness, rage because he killed her). Rinji means peaceful forest, but if all that negativity sits for a long time, it would turn to the kiss of death because its from the same tainted earth.
