In the Pool(10) "Well, the freestyle is usually the first stroke taught, but I've always thought that was rather silly, as it is terrible for keeping your head out of the water. I prefer to teach the breast stroke first." Shina turned in the shallow water so that she was sitting facing the same direction as Lenore was, rather than next to the other girl to support her. "You start with your palms together, close to your chest. Push out, and when your arms are almost straight, rotate your hands so the backs face each other instead, and sweep your arms out to the sides. Keep your palms cupped to pull against the water, fingers together. When your arms have reached level with your shoulder, draw them in towards your body and return them to the start position." Shina demonstrated the arm motions of the stroke several times.

Lyle curiously watched Shina teach a girl how to swim. "Why don't you do the doggie paddle?" He called over to the pair. "It's really easy. Anyone can do it!" To prove it, he pushed of from the edge of the pool and paddled around the shallow end.

In The Pool (11) "Yes actually, it does," Shina said in a matter of fact tone. "However, it is quite effective in preventing drowning, and has the benefit of letting you keep your head above water and see where you are going, which the other two most popular strokes, the front crawl and backstroke, cannot claim. Now lean forward and stretch your legs out behind you. I'll support you while you practice the stroke laying down," Shina said, moving so she would be next to Lenore's thigh, able to wrap one arm around her hips to keep the girl in place, and use her other arm to support her enough to almost stay afloat, forearm across her stomach and hand supporting the bottom of her ribcage.

((I don't have any clue how to work Lyle into my posts. Sorry, Mew. D: )) In The PoolLenore felt Shina's hand on her chest, and turned toward her, giving her a serious expression while still managing to look bored. " ***** is a crime, you know." Lenore made a mental note to be wary of Shina from now on as she continued to look ridiculous doing what the gym leader said. [12]

ON THE DECKS/ POOL AREA (1) (so whats the timeline we're working with? Pre or Post caravan? Up to me?) Jan and Del walk out into the- still sunny- deck. Eventually jan pulls del aside, looking absurd in his inner tube. "Del, That was too far! She did nothing wrong!" "Sperra stole something from someone. Its bad enough looking after you, but she is supposed to look after us! She cant be doing that, its bad for our development!" "And what about you, distracting that doctor like that?! Suppose he gets in trouble" Jan didnt have a problem with the talking to the doctor thing, but for the sake of the argument, he pretended he did. "That was different!" half-snarled Del, "I was asking questions! He was teaching! Nobody got hurt!" "I did" not from the doctor, of course, but who needed logic in a sibling argument? "What?! Thats not true" Del started to fume red. She was fond of logic, even if her brother was all too willing to toss it aside. " Whatever, anyway, I miss her!" which was true. He wouldn't be swimming and it would be nice to have a member of his family to hug while he watched the people around him. Del did too. "Well, we'll get her back later!" she retorted. "She is getting what she deserves, she knows it, and you should too. No poking around other peoples rooms and taking things without their permission!" "But... What if they aren't around?" Asked Jan, puzzled. "Then you don't do it. At all. DO YOU GET IT NOW?!" Del was growing exasperated. Before he could say another word, she threw her hands up in exasperation. "Arrrgh, I am not dealing with this. Talk to me when you can see reason!" she said, stomping away to the hot tub. That was what she felt she needed right now... something warm to thin the frustration in her head. Jan watched her go, frowning. He didnt like it when Del was angry at him, but he was right, he knew it. Eventually he would talk to her, when she had calmed down and realized that she had really overreacted. He stood by the pool longlingly, his bag with the sketchbook claiming a beach chair as he gripped his skittytube and wished that he could swim. He could barely manage even with the tube. He looked at the people.... was that... "hey!" he called out, "Can I learn too?" He felt hopeful. Nanashi Kage Enjeru Wrote

In The Pool (12) "My hand is well below anything inappropriate," Shina said calmly. Seeing that Lenore seemed to have the arm movements down, Shina let her go. "If you would like to learn the leg movements that go with that stroke, please join me in the other pool," Shina said, getting up from the kiddie pool and heading over to Lyle in the shallow end of the adult pool. "Hello Lyle. You have a very effective doggy paddle there. Do you know any other strokes?" Hearing the other youngster call to her, Shina glanced over. "Sure! Hop in the pool, it's pretty shallow here and you can hold the wall if you need to." ((We are post caravan. And sorry mew, I missed you post!))

In The Pool
"Flat as a board, remember? You'd have no way to know." Lenore called after the retreating gym leader. She got out of the pool and left to visit Mephistopheles, fully bored of this "fun" activity.

"Nope!" Lyle cheerfully answered Shina. "This is all I know. But it works! And other strokes look hard." He stopped paddling to look up at her, then remembered something else. "Oh, and I can float!" He promptly took a deep breath, tilted himself back and raised his legs until he was floating on his back.

In Pool Area (13) "Great job!" Shina said enthusiastically. "And it isn't that hard to learn different strokes. Did you know the one I was teaching Lenore looks like a frog when you add the leg motions? Here, look!" Shina swam from one side of the shallow end to the other and back.

In the Daycare Center.Erebos grunted like a barbarian in response. Genesis had been keeping her distance from him for most of the trip, and although he could understand why, it wasn't as if she had told him directly, and he wouldn't speak for his trainer under that circumstance.
As to why he had been left here, well, he knew it had been so he could inspect the area without rousing suspicion, and he could only assume Doyle left Ark here for a similar reason. Two noses were better than one, after all.
To communicate this to her, he rose and wandered about, feigning the simple curiosity of a dog and poking his head into crevices here and there. And, as he had left her, his tail had touched her elbow and glided along her arm. He often used it as a mean to signal her to follow but, in this instance, he meant her to imitate.

Lyle tilted himself upright to watch Shina swimming, and couldn't help laughing at the odd movement. "It looks funny!" he told her, idly splashing the water with his hands. "It should be called the froggy paddle!"

In the Daycare Center.Ark was not surprised at the grunt and no actual words. Erebus was never one to actually say something. He was always so silent that he piped her interest.
When his tail glided along her arm she understood the signal and figured he wanted her to copy him. A grin spread across her maw and a series of light 'Zu' noises sounded. She was clearly thinking of something funny.
Soon it was apparent as to what she found so funny. Her body shimmered and soon another Lucario, who looked just like Erebus, appeared where Ark had been. She had used her ability of Illusion to take on Erebus' form. She then began exploring the room. However where Erebus looked solemn and serious, Ark!Erebus was carefree and supremely happy/excited.((Post 2))

In Pool Area (14) "Do you want to try learning the froggy paddle?" Shina asked cheerfully. Going over to the wall, she held on and demonstrated the kick in slow motion. "Here, this is how you do the kick. Come try!" Shina encouraged.

In the Daycare Center.Erebos hadn't meant it so literally, but whatever works, he supposed. It was strange to see his countenance so clearly delighted but, then again, it was strange to see himself at all.
He watched Ark's illusion for a second more, before returning to the mission at hand.
