"Hiya! Call Me Amy~
It's Short For
Amelia Caliu."

Pleased that she hadn't had to wait long, as she'd never liked the cold much, she smiled as he opened the door. Stepping inside, she kissed his cheek, answering his question with a shake of her head. "No, I'm fine." She stepped back, letting him close the door as she slipped her arms out of her coat, placing it on the coat rack along with her purse. Turning back to face him, she took his hand, taking a few steps to his sofa as she told him, "I have quite a bit of explaining to do." She had disappeared for months, after all, and after speaking with Lloyd, he's assured her that only he, his wife, and a few other key members of her family knew what exactly was occuring. Granted, at least half of the time she was gone, there was a shapeshifter trying to fill her place, and she was made aware that the woman had tried to act casually with Cedric; knowing that he was the shy type, Amy was hopeful that he hadn't actually been convinced that the woman had been her. Still, she had to ask before she started explaining her entire story. "Do you remember the day I called you, asking for you to join me at the café, along with Lloyd and Cy? That day you spoke with me. Except it wasn't me. I had been...taken."

Cedric squeezed the woman's hand as they walked over to the sofa. He dragged her most of the rest of the way. He was going to hear her out for everything that she wanted to say. He then faintly smiled when she said it was about that day that seemed so long ago. He knew something had happened. "I know." He told the woman about her being taken. It made more sense to him now. "I knew that the woman I meant was not you. She kissed me and you knew better than to do that." He told her. He knew from a kiss that it was not her. His first kiss with her was the night before, but he knew it wasn't her. "She seemed more like Cam and pretty much seemed to like to tease me." He explained more. It was like a feeling that he had to think through and answer bit by bit. "But when you kissed me last night it was much different from her's and I knew it was you. Unicorns are ruled more by emotion and feeling."

Faintly surprised by his method of having been tipped off of the woman's identity, she nodded slowly, seeing how such would have appeared odd to him. She knew little about a unicorn's nature, but she was hoping to learn more now that she was back, safe and accepted by him. Sitting down, she leaned against Cedric, speaking again in response to his words. "She was a shapeshifter and her name was Victoria. Right after my phone call, I was taken..." Her voice softened as she remembered, though the events directly following her abduction were foggy, due to the fact that she'd been sedated and given something to put aside her magic. "I don't really remember the first couple of days. I was unconscious off and on, and whenever I woke up, I was felt very tired." Sighing, she set aside worry about those hours, since they were rather uneventful, or so she believed they were. The boy in the cell next to her, Loa, had told her that she was kept from magic and watched to see what sort of things she might think to do. Frankly, she still didn't remember thinking of anything but sleeping, but apparantly he'd seen her fight a guard with the little amount of magic she'd still had.

Cedric looked at her. He hugged her close to his body. It was the kind of hug that said that he never wanted to let her go. The more information that he got the more he didn't want to let go, but the more his mind mapped out the events. "After that I got away for a bit and called Mizuki about the weird experience and she said there was something weird going on and John was watching you, but he had gone missing. I think it has something to do with the Wizard Counsel. They say their goal is to keep balance, but they do some secretive things." The man commented. Kind of had a feeling that Mizuki and John were in that group that worked for the counsel. "I don't know if they are good or bad."

Letting herself be drawn closer, she really did like being held in his hug, she listened to him speak. The mention of John caused her to nod, as she had been informed after to release that the man had been attacked as well. Their goals were good, and she found that a part of her knew that the Council was doing its best to maintain the balance he'd mentioned. Of course, the veil could be a hassel, but without it, she didn't see much good happening. "I know they do secretive things because now I'm apart of it." She paused, trying to discern the best method of explaining what she would be doing; while she hadn't been strictly forbidden to tell others her new occupation, she was aware that the topic was bound to be a touchy one. "I have a new job. Espionage. I'll be working for the Council." Looking up to study Cedric's expression in reaction to her words, she continued speaking softly as she explained how the job had fallen into her lap. "After I was...rescued, I was given the option of becoming a spy, and I took it." There was still plenty of training for her to go through, and she was still recovering her stores of magic, but that would be her life for several years. She'd already resigned as Magazine editor, and explained to Lyndis that there would periods of time when she was gone.

Cedric's expression turned a little serious. He didn't know if he could trust the counsil, but at the same time because he was a unicorn. If something happened he would have to run to them first, but he couldn't get Amy's way. He had no right to do that. "I'll put my trust in you, but if something bad happens please don't be afraid to come to me." He told her. He still loved her even after breaking the news to him. "Don't do anything to put yourself at risk." Ced wondered if he could do anything to protect the woman he loved. He didn't have any powers to protect her. Maybe because he was a unicorn that he could use his title to protect her.

Letting out a small sigh of relief as he spoke, she smiled softly. While she knew that her very job was a risk, she didn't mention such and instead focused on the fact that he was still choosing to be with her. He trusted her, clearly, and she was very appreciative of that. "I'll always keep you updated." They could worry more about the dangers behind the career later, but until then she would gladly accept his support. Already, she found him to be an extremely loyal boyfriend, and she would always treasure his help. "I love you." she told him, leaning up just enough to kiss his cheek before snuggling closer to him. Being beside him was comfortable, and she was pleased to have this time with him. Of course, her mood was slightly dampended by what they needed to discuss, but she knew that it was all inevitable. After taking another breath, she released it slowly, trying to find the best way to introduce the other subject on her mind. After a moment, she spoke, finding that Loa would make the most sense as a branch between her captivity and the man currently appearing in her home. "There was a boy in the cell beside mine. His name is Loa, and he's a year younger than Lyn. He was rescued along with me...so right now, he's living with me." She paused, letting Cedric process this information before she continued. Eventually, she was hoping to ask Lloyd and Cynthia for help; being a spy meant that the kids would need to be watched after by others, and the couple was the most likely choice, even with their own twins. "He has abilities much like my brother, Andrew...he deals with stuff in the realm of the dead. But see, the first day he was at my house, a man appeared saying he was a demon. After speaking with him I...-" She paused, biting her lip as she considered the next words. "Is your father's name 'Honus'?"

Cedric got nervous as he remembered his talk with Cam the night before. He try to reach the box in his pocket. To hide the ring. "I love you too Amy. I don't want you leave anymore." He told her with a gentle smile. Cedric was never the type to beat anyone up. She then asked him about his father. He supposed that since she had met his family yet that she would be curious. "I don't know much about my father. I know he loved my mom and even sang songs to her so I know his voice because of recording, I know he left when I was two, and my brothers hate him." The man answered he didn't know anything about the man at all. "He married my mother, but she kept her last name so I don't know what his last name is." He answered as the box finally popped out of his pocket and went flying to the floor. The box even open up and the ring came out.

Noting with suspicion as his hand moved to his pocket, she wondered what could be there that he'd need to reach. When he started speaking again, she let the question move aside so that she could hear his responses. His father sounded like the kind that she would have disliked to have; sure, the man loved his wife, but she couldn't understand how he'd managed to leave the children. Perhaps it was a good thing that he hadn't given the family his last name. She opened her mouth to give her opinion of the matter, only to finally have her previous thoughts answered as a box appeared and fell to the floor. Raising her brow as it opened, she spotted the item inside, which appeared to be..."A ring?" Her expression shifted to show her confusement as she sat up, her gaze flickering from the jewlery on the floor to Cedric. After a moment, recognition dawned on her, and she inhaled sharply. Was he considering the idea of marrying her? "Would you like to explain?" She questioned as she leaned back, trying to keep her tone light despite the fact that she was dreading this turn of conversation. She'd meant to discuss his father, but it appeared that they would need to speak of a different matter first.

Cedric's face flushed and then. It was clear he hoped that Amy would comment about what the ring was for. It was moments like this that his shyness returned to him. He didn't want to talk about it. "Well you see my brothers passed it to me because the third brother chose to take a mistress." The man made a nervous laugh. He didn't know what to really say to Amy about it. "It's a tradition that the ring is given to the fiancee of any of the Hickman brothers. It's my turn to have it for when I do decide to purpose to you." He answered. His face became red. His face was so hot that he thought he may faint. It wasn't a real request for marriage, but it was pretty close.

"Hiya! Call Me Amy~

As Cedric spoke, she remained still, her expression neutral as she though about the meaning behind his words. The fact that he'd said 'when' instead of 'if' did not escape her, and it was that detail that caused her to remain quiet for a few seconds longer. Obviously, he was seriously considering the idea of marrying her, which made his love her for her all the more understandable. Yet she wasn't near that point, having just reunited with the man after several months apart. The realization made her sigh, as she was sure that their time from the night before was only making him feel more sure about marriage. "Okay..." she said softly through an exhale of breath. Bending down to pick up the ring, she admired it for a brief moment, her hand moving to push aside the bangs from her face as she continued to think. Sure, there was a definite physical attraction and she enjoyed spending time with the guitarist, but to give so much commitment at this point in her life seemed like the wrong choice to make. Finally, she handed him the piece of jewlery as she added lamely, "Well, we'll just have to see how everything goes." Hopefully, that would show her feelings on the subject. She would need to keep talking and explain, she knew, or else their relationship would fall apart just as all her others had; the endings had all shared the same sense of fear of becoming too serious. "You see...we've just gotten back together, and I want to get used to the new lifestyle before dragging you further into it. And there's Lyndis...and Loa needs help." Granted, each issue she'd brought up could be addressed easily, especially since her daughter liked Cedric so much and Loa would begin lessons with her brother as soon as he returned, therefore taking the weight from her shoulders. Still, she didn't want to lose her excuses, not when she was so afraid of marriage.

Cedric thought about about what he said. It may have rubbed the wrong way on the woman. He didn't want to do it anytime soon. Maybe in a couple of months once they see if they still work well together. It kind of made the man ashamed of telling the truth. He should have just said it was mother's and that he was keeping it safe. "I know and I'll be there to help you. You know you can always ask me to help." He told her. He was a bit embarrassed about the whole event. He didn't really want to talk about marriage at this point and made a plan to talk about something else. "I wonder what kind of man my father was to give my mother such a beautiful ring?"

Studying her boyfriend's reaction, she let out a breath as it became clear that he wouldn't be pressuring her into the idea of marriage. Of course, she shouldn't be surprised, as this was Cedric and he was far from the type to pressure anyone into anything. "I know, and I'll always appreciate just having your support." She was serious, though her expression shifted back to show her worried thoughts when ghe topic of his father returned. What was she supposed to say? After a moment, she decided that getting to the point would he her best option at this time. "I...You could meet him, maybe. Because, you see, I came over to tell you that um-" she paused, idly messing with her fingers as she finished with, "He's sort of haunting my house and I don't get most of what he's telling me!" Her tone was a mixtue of exasperation and confusion, but still she wanted ro know Ced'a opinion on the matter.

Cedric's face turned to one of interest and confusion. "Haunting your house? Like a ghost?" He asked her. He didn't understand what she was saying. In addition he was haunting Amy's house. Wasn't that something like a warning sign if a ghost was randomly and suddenly haunting some house that he had no link to. "I wonder if he is speaking in some type of horse language. I mean he hand four children who are all horses." It was clear that Cedric knew little to nothing about his father, on the other man's voice and love for his late wife.
