Dove tucked her hair behind her ear, nodding at what he had said, though it was clear this part of the discussion was over. She sat quietly a moment, thanking the waitress when she brought the drinks, then mulling over conversation starters in her head. Though she was well-rehearsed in talking with those around her back home, it was startling what a change in scenery could do. She supposed it was because one, she had never been to this region before and she was completely and utterly on her own with no backup this time and two, she didn't want to use her social status from elsewhere to help her along. If people recognized her, she would comply, but here and now wasn't the place nor the time for celebrity gossip.

"So..." she giggled, sipping at her drink. "What's done for fun around here?"

Lovey huffed again, bored to death with her situation. Shaking her head, the little eevee rose to its feet, padding around in a circle once before sitting in front of the growlithe, tail low to the ground, pouting.

Dove's stomach growled in response to Yuri's statement.

"Well, right now it seems like eating sounds best right now!" she laughed, cheeks flooding a soft pink.

Dove considered a lot of things fun: shopping, talking with people, playing with Lovey. She just wanted to explore what the region had to offer her, find new things to enjoy, meet new people to have fun with.

But for now, she just wanted to eat. Then maybe sleep.

Lovey blinked hugely at the paw now resting on her head, then looked to the Growlithe. Was she in trouble...? She sunk a little, hoping not to get a lecture.

The model grinned at the sound that echoed from Yuri's stomach, then turned to thank the lady bringing their food.

She tipped her head at the salad, then began to eat quietly and properly. It wasn't what she was used to, but as hungry as she was, it was rather satisfying.

Lovey huffed again, then laid down at the Growlithe's feet, lazily rolling onto her back again, paws flopped up into the air.

Dove glanced up, only to let her eyes fall back down to her salad as she ate. She definitely wasn't used to eating in this type of atmosphere.

Once the leafy greens had disappeared, Dove sat back to sip at her water and glanced toward the door. She only hoped that Lovey was alright without her. "That was really good!"

Lovey whined softly from her position on the ground, eyes glued now to the door. When was she going to be back? And why wouldn't Repede play with her? She sat up quickly and ran in a circle before, again, taking to mimicking the fire type. She sat tall and still before him.

Dove leaned over to pick up the check, eyes widening slightly in amusement at how small the tab actually was. Setting her card atop the slip, she looked around curiously. "Do I take it to the counter or give it to her...?"

Lovey sat as still as the Growlithe, ear flicking only once as she anticipated his next move.

Dove started, rather violently, as the waitress snatched her card from her, though she hadn't given any reason for it. The newcomer was just surprised at the woman's brusqueness.

When she returned it, Dove gave a blushing thank you and signed the slip, stuffing her copy in her bag, before rising to follow Yuri to the door.

Lovey sat tensely, doing her absolute best not to give in to the other pokemon. Though most of her body didn't move an inch, her ears and tail flicked every few seconds, proving that she was about to burst.

When Yuri stopped in the doorway, Dove nearly ran into his back, catching herself just one step behind him. She frowned softly and leaned around him to look out at whatever had stopped him.

The sight before her made her giggle.

Lovey held herself 'still' a moment longer, then gave in, flopping down onto her back and squirming in frustration before she realized her trainer had returned. When Dove stepped around Yuri and came closer, the tiny eevee quickly righted itself and bounded for Dove's legs, pawing happily at the girl's calf.
