Emery raised an eyebrow at his comment, a small smile creeping up for her as well. "Me dragging you around or soy parfaits?" She said, watching him as their food arrived. She was so glad that her veggie burger was finally there, since she had spent so long trying to find vegan food. She smiled happily as she took a bite of the delicious burger.

Emery grinned as she took another bite of her burger. "If it's even half as good as this, it must be." She said, smiling slightly. She was suddenly becoming a little more self conscious of her eating, and she opted to start taking smaller bites.
"I know I kind of dragged you here, but thanks for coming." She said gratefully, her cheeks warming slightly.

Emery silently ate her burger for a few moments, not sure what to say to Ren. It had been really awkward between them since they went to the amusement park, and she wasn't sure exactly why. She didn't necessarily think that things were bad between them, but she was still having a lot of difficulty acting like herself when he was there.
"So... That party was crazy, huh?" She said in attempt to break the silence.

Emery grinned at his comment, remembering the situation. "I am glad she is alright though. She seems really funny." She said before taking a drink of water. She hadn't met many people so eccentric that they would faint at the sight of two boys kissing, and now that she knew Serene was okay she found it kind of funny. "Do you get along well with her?" She asked, noting the tone he had used to talk about her.

The mere thought of Serene often gave him headaches. His sister had been making trouble for the twins since...the beginning of time, and Ren was always the one who ended up taking care of her.
He answered her next question about getting along with Serene by taking a large bite of his parfait, clearly annoyed.

Emery nodded at his explanation of the trouble Serene caused. While she couldn't imagine having anything but a good relationship with her sibling, Lila could definitely get under her skin as well. "My sister can be annoying too, but she's not that bad. She kind of idolizes me, though. Sometimes I feel like she's trying to become me. Siblings are weird." She said, agreeing that sisters could be weird. She took a bite of her burger as she continued to think of Lila. She needed to remember to text the girl again soon and check in on her. Her relatives home could often get lonely.

"Mine is an idiot." he said as Emery finished, poking his spoon at a cookie bit, "She bosses Mikage and I around all the time. Fangirls at every little thing. Hides a stash of posters underneath her bed, calls them her 'husbandos.'"
He said all of this in one breath, and then blushed even more, turning his face away from Emery, trying to focus on some random person outside the window to hide his embarrassment.

Emery covered her mouth, holding back a laugh at his sisters antics. Upon noticing his blush, however, a red glow started to appear over her face as well. "My sisters a lot different. I pretty much raised her, since we were taken away from my parents-" She stopped herself, her blush deepening. She immediately regretted the slip she had made and turned her attention to her last bite of burger. She slowly put it in her mouth and focused on chewing, thinking about her mistake. She had promised herself that she wouldn't share her story with anyone at Avalon, and for some reason she had let a bit of it slip to Ren. Unsure how to make up for her mistake, she continued chewing.

"Our parents are always on business trips." he said, breaking the tension in the air, "So Serene basically raised Mikage and I."
He lowered his voice, twirling his spoon in his parfait, embarrassed as he continued.
"I am grateful for that."

Emery looked up to him, grateful that he did not press her for further information. She swallowed her bite of burger and listened to him speak, her blush slowly fading as she did so. At his last words she smiled a bit, glad that he had said it. She often felt that she had not done a good job taking care of Lila, so hearing him say he appreciated his sister made her feel like she wasn't as bad after all. "You need to go easy on her, then. Let her be a child now that she finally can." She advised, thinking of her own lack of childhood. "Maybe you could meet Lila sometime. She is going to be coming to Avalon soon, so I'm sure she would like to look around." She suggested, her cheeks warming slightly as she did so. If he took her up on the offer she would need to warn Lila to be careful what she said to those at her school.

I felt like being a nosy older sister and crashing this date  Serene was starving. She had been shopping all day at a limited sale for Sasuke, her number one husbando. On the way back from the store, she decided to get some takeout at one of her favorite restaurants. As she waited for her order, she noticed her brother and a girl that was at the party the other day, eating together. She talked to the waiter letting them know to move her order and snuck up on to couple before, pouncing on Ren from behind in a hug. "RenRen what are you doing here?" She winked at the girl with a sly grin, "On a date?"
