"Knight" Solaire of Astora, Embryon Captain
"Praise the sun!"If the rumors of the secretary's activities had reached to the Iwatodai Branch and beyond was true at all, it was equally likely that the majority of those within the ranks of the Embryons had at least heard of the Knight Solaire, Captain of the former Iwatodai Branch and the strange rumors that surrounded him. He never paid much attention to rumors himself, however, and the pride and indignation that Reina seemed to display at his comment about her skills seemed quite normal to the iron-plated man, oblivious to innuendo as he ever was. Or maybe it wasn't that he was oblivious so much as it was that he merely remained focused on his work, his beliefs, his long-term goal that kept him moving forward, working in the spirit of Jolly Cooperation to the founding of his own sun? Whoever he was, whatever his eccentricities might have been, and even if he was considered to be something of a madman by some who didn't understand him, he was undeniably a strong madman. And he was an ally that you would want on your side in any conflict, that much was without question. More to the point of his eccentricities, however, he wondered if his abrupt distraction in praising the sun above had resulted in the General deciding that he no longer wished for any of the Captains to pay him a visit to discuss their commissions. It wasn't entirely unusual for a secretary to pass along a message from an absent general, but since they had been called in to speak directly with Serph, he had somewhat been expecting to meet with him properly. ...But such thoughts were banished from the knight's mind almost instantly, not one to dwell on what he could not change so much as he was.
"Marvelous! To continue our work basking in the light of the sun is most agreeable. I can hardly think of a greater motivator than the brilliant glow of that wondrous body..." ...no, really, there was no innuendo intended, "However, can you pass along a message to the general? Tell him that I've already commissioned the installation of my signature golden summoning stations...the 'Golden Sign' emergency phone system...throughout the town. When one is in danger with regards to the supernatural, citizens of Inaba shall need only use the stations to call us...and the Fifth Unit shall send someone in response. ...To me, this instant response apparatus shall be a great boon to the spirit of Jolly Cooperation in the city! And hopefully, it shall allow us to save lives...Ha ha ha!" Nodding his head once, he turned to the rest of the gathered crowd...which included and specifically addressed...those within his own unit.
"Now then, let us head out to the practice field and keep ourselves occupied until my summoning signs have been set in each area of town. ...We can increase our skills and praise the sun, all at once...a most excellent manner in which to occupy our time..."Quote: [Unit 5 Emergency Phones], aka several gold emergency phone stations, have been installed in every individual area of Inaba! Kuatsumo Sinbad, a.k.a. "Havel the Rock"
Unit 1 - 1st Lieutenant  "Ah. But it would be nice if she could join us. Usagi-tan could even teach you a couple ways on how to relax." Sinbad said to his captain, Ruri, as he patted her on the head. He had already begun transforming back into his human form, and by the time he was patting Ruri on the head, he was already human and with shields at his side. He knew that Ruri was probably going to mouth off at him for patting her on the head as if she were a little child, but he felt very protective of "his Ruru", so he felt that he should give her at least that much. "So you ready, Ruru, for our education on this building and the town around it?"

 Ruri KonpekiAs Sinbad's hand came towards Ruri, her hand snapped up and she grabbed his wrist, then simply pulled hard enough to dislocate a human's arm. Which, for pretty much any Atma form (except maybe that healer girl in Ria's unit) wasn't a particularly difficult level to reach. Steins Gunner was very not the sort who liked touching, and really, Sinbad probably deserved whatever he got for trying to be like that when his Captain and superior officer was already trigger-happy. "Don't ever ****ing touch me again." she said softly. He probably should have been thankful she didn't just start pummeling him. Healing magic meant that normally debilitating injuries could be recovered from much faster, and Atma users were pretty resilient anyway, but still... perhaps Sinbad had taken a few too many blows to the head as a child?

Unit 1 - 1st Lieutenant As Ruri had grabbed his wrist and proceeded to pull on it with incredible fierceness, he had felt the swift and sharp tug on his arm and his shoulderblade disconnecting. But with it, he managed to follow through with her pulling, ending up being thrown across the room and ending up in front Usagi-tan's desk upside-down."So. . .I am guessing you don't like my terms of endearment and respect?" Though that statement in itself could be called a lie, where real respect would not be calling her Ruru, but rather Captain Konpeki, as well as not patting your superior on the head. But it was just Sinbad's casual way of endearment. Though it was a kinda quirky kind of care, he did believe that the battlefield is where battlefield respect belonged, but honorary respect came from experience. "So now that all the shenanigans are over with, would you mind going back out of Atma form. Please?" Sinbad had said after getting up from all of that. He had then started brushing himself off from the not-so-fun tumble had made, second one today, and then looked at his captain with a more serious face than what he was showing earlier, proving that even he was serious that he wanted to get this over with. For why, it was known only to himself. But still, Sinbad wasn't known to have a straight face outside of battle.

 Watching events unfold before him, Tarkus slowly shook his head. It was clear that some things never change. To that end, it seemed Sinbad still couldn't take a hint at the best of times.
He walked toward Reina's desk, where Ruri now was, just to keep them apart should he need to.

 Jormungandr - The World Serpent"Man, f***k the police!" a teen-sounding, rather angry voice came from the far side of the Embryon prison cell where Yatsuda was being kept under wraps at the moment...followed by the sudden sound of exploding stone, brick and mortar thrown all throughout the unfortunate would-be Cassanova's tiny little hovel...opening up a bright path into the sunlight that bathed the Headquarters in its brilliant light. Of course, to the tall, lean young man whose figure was outlined in that hole...the heat was just another ******** obnoxious sensation beating down on his back, oppressing his want to just try and relax for a ******** change. Seriously, did that old man ever do any of his own work his own damn self? He was the god damned World Serpent, for Odin's sake!...not some two-bit lackey like that old fart's ravens. It was insulting is what it was, and it pissed him off to no end...the annoyance spelled out clearly in his dark expression as he glared down at Yatsuda where he sat awaiting interrogation, the growl that emerged revealing a pair of very dangerous-looking fangs from within his mouth and a hunger to swallow the world. "You, idiot...I've got a message for you from the old man, so shut the ******** up and listen. Even if I can sneak in here, there's no ******** way they didn't hear that, so zip the trap, or I'll swallow you whole," the tall, lean figure warned with a look that promised there wasn't a single jest in that entire threat. Indeed, whoever this was was terrifying and certainly powerful enough to follow through on what he had promised if Yatsuda didn't follow his directions to the letter. ...The guy just kicked down a brick wall like tissue paper, for crying out loud! "The message is this...if you want to survive in this town, you better tone down the horn-dog bullshit, or something like that...he probably said it much fancier than that, but I frankly don't give a flying ******** about that," the serpentine man diverted for a moment, before continuing, "Also this...there's a hole or some s**t in the back wall of this place that he opened up...go through it and you'll end up on the Hilltop...probably. ...I don't know how this s**t works anymore than you do. But anyway, you better get your a** in gear, because those nitwits around here are coming." Taking no chances, however, the man didn't leave Yatsuda to make his own decision on the matter or piddle-d**k around. Extending a long arm, he seized the top-hat-wearing buffoon by the collar, slung him over the shoulder, and darted out into the yard behind the main building of the Headquarters without a second thought. Pausing only for a moment once he looked on either side of himself to see who was coming, he choked up a sudden black smoke into his mouth and released it like a gas grenade all about him...thick and heavy...poisonous to any who tried to venture too close before it blew away with the wind. But by the moment that had happened, they would find that the snake had already retreated with the idiot jester Yatsuda, dumping him unceremoniously at the Hilltop before abandoning him there like a lump in the grass. His job was done at the escape, and not a moment too soon. He was dying to swallow another couple of those magnificent ******** beef bowls from the shop downtown again... Ruri KonpekiRuri had been about to lay out a rather harsh response to the Lieutenant's words when the facility shook, and it took only the briefest of nods from the secretary for the young Captain to start dashing through the facility, encouraging everyone else to get out of her way as she headed towards the dungeons. Which was all fine and dandy, of course, except for the minor yet relevant detail that it was, well, too late. On the bright side, it was unlikely anyone was going to blame her for this, since her squad didn't guard the dungeons, she'd been busy following procedure and getting her instructions, and oh yeah, this wasn't the kind of thing someone of her rank was usually concerned with, anyway. That was what minions were for. All she really caught was the faint wisps of a dispersing smoke, and the Captain frowned slightly, then flicked a switch on her communications device to send in a report as the other workers at the base swarmed the area to figure out just how bad the situation was. By the looks of things, not too bad, because all that seemed to be missing was one of the prisoners... who, of course, was now a Person Of Interest to the Embryon.

Tao "Bunny Giiiiirl!!" Tao's voice bellowed out as she burst into Reina's office and ungraciously threw herself on her desk, looking her in the eyes. Tears were streaming down her face like waterfalls, scuff marks covered her cheeks and minor burns were strewn across her coat, the bottom of which was lifted due to her outstretched arms. A red mark with some faintly visible (Rather large) bite marks on her rump. "Tao was attacked by a really scary man at the station!" She wiggled forward on the table and buried her face into Reina's chest.

"Ah. heart " Reina said as someone dived into her bosom. Well, she was never one to pass up an opportunity... but the bunnygirl did gently hug Tao while petting her on the head. "Someone attacked you, you say? Why don't you tell me all about it before you forget what happened?" she nudged a button below the desk with her foot, activating a recording device.

Tao Tao wiggled further along the desk and dropped herself into Reina's lap, "Well, Tao was napping at the station when a big scary man with HUMONGOUS teeth started to attack Tao." For a moment, it seemed like she was seeing and (For once) thinking clearly. Maybe the severity of the situation wasn't lost on Tao, someone had tried to kill her, dumb as she was, she still, at the very least, had her animal instincts.
"I dodged his attacks at first, but then he chomped on Tao's butt!" She lowered a hand to the spot in particular as she spoke, "And when I used fire, it came back and hit me... And then Tao Ran..." She hugged Reina tighter, and buried her head deeper, nuzzling her head back and forth as she did. Not realizing, or caring what her actions could be seen as.

"Aww... we'll get you all patched up soon enough, dear." Reina said soothingly, not minding Tao's actions in the least. Still, an assault on an Embryon officer... and trying to eat an Atma user... that would have to go into the notes, but she'd get to the paperwork a bit later. For now, the bunny just gently stroked Tao's head and whispered soothing things to her. She was safe, here at the base... or at least as safe as anyone was ever likely to get.

Tao Tao sighed contently in Reina's arms as she started to calm down, she looked at her and smiled, quickly licking her cheek. "Tao loves you, bunny girl." She seemed to say that every time they were together, one could wonder if Tao even remembered that she had said it before, but regardless, Tao was glad Reina was always there for her, and anyone else for that matter. "Should Tao let someone else know, too?"

Reina hugged Tao even tighter than before. "You're just so cute!" the bunnygirl squealed, a huge smile on her face. "Don't worry about a thing, though. Bunny will make sure it's reported to the proper channels and our friends can see who attacked you. We Embryon stick together, after all."

Unit 1 - 1st Lieutenant As Sinbad had waltzed along into the main area, he had noticed two things. First, he had noticed that Kit-Kit had came back after the little while of him seeing her. The second thing he had noticed was that Kit-Kit was in Usagi-tan's lap, like she were a little kitty, as usual. And with his usual casualness on the base, he had walked up to the two of them and smiled. "Hello, Kit-Kit, hey Usagi-tan. Looks like you two are having a good get together again? So what's up, Kit-Kit?"
