Merope stepped back, entering a tug-of-war with the mismatched skeleton over the book. The undead boil began to shake the book from side to side before relenting, kneeling in front of the skeleton before he began to pry its fingers back one by o- oops. Merope stared at the finger that snapped off in his hands, looking in dismay from the finger to the hand and back before he licked the end and tried to stick it back into place. It fell off.
Merope snuck a glance over his shoulder at the other students. Did they see? No? Okay. With another shake and pry, Merope acquired his book. He began to flip though the book, his disinterested gaze snapping to attention as he began to read.
It wasn't until he heard the other students move past him that he looked up, watching for a moment before he removed his backpack long enough to shove his prize inside. Then he too moved off towards the tunnels, selecting one at random.

Tyshina had some arrived late, and was a little bit behind the group. She rushed in the room, looked around, and quickly ran out. "Oh noes, I hope they aren't to far ahead," she said and with that she ran out towards a tunnel.

Nergui lingered only as long as the majority of their group did. When they started moving off down the two tunnels, she did as well. Pushing off from the wall she'd been leaning, she picked out a single horsemen from their group and followed him down the first of the two dark passageways.

Gasping as the frozen pumpkin broke from it's stem, Yaya caught the thing on impulse, then held it out at arms length. She hadn't wanted it to break, but considering she didn't really know what it is, she wasn't all that keen to hold it against her self. Least not just yet. There was an aura around it that, when concentrated on, made her skin want to crawl off, but above that was an over all blaze of healing FEAR.
With a frown she finally relented and tucked the thing against her chest, arms wrapped around it so it wouldn't drop. At the very least the thing should be taken to Cricket to look at, but curiously the ghoul wondered if perhaps the aura of heeling FEAR could be tapped into to amplify her own abilities. Like a battery. In any case it was worth holding onto.
Looking through the crowd the ghoul caught sight of Westus and Levi, and quickening her pace to catch up, the djinn followed them down the right side tunnel.

A book? A flippin' book? Enzo grunted as his new friend seemed to have found something of far more interest than something that looked like his sister bought it for him. He wasn't even sure he could pronounce the title of the damn thing. "More treasure, right. More like ANY treasure would be the bee's-" He hesitated as the Mare sauntered off down one of the tunnels, "Hey, wait up!" [exit]
