Notes from Caffe: I like how you pulled all the Chinese aspects. Only thing that needs a bit of looking at are the Mirror. It doesn't show the future it shows a person's greatest desire... so unless she just doesn't understand what the mirror does, fear of seeing failure wouldn't really be possible, but what we are really looking for with the mirror is what exactly she desires most in life. And the boggart again manifests itself as her greatest fear so unless she is afraid of the dark then it most definitely wasn't a boggart that she saw ^^ After those small comments she will be accepted. I tweaked boggart and mirror. Hope this is right now. Accepted by Caffe!

PERSONALITYGeneral: Emylynn is extremely intelligent, well mannered and efficient in all she does. She is of Chinese/English heritage and cherishes both. Her studies are very important to her and strives to be the best she will not give in or give up until she learns whatever is given to her.
One thing she seems to be exceedingly good at is puzzles, she can see the answer in a very short amount of time. Crossword, Find the Word, Jigsaw does not matter same with Riddles though some of these do stump her.
Habits: Speaking Chinese if angered/uncomfortable, Taking off her shoes when she enters anywhere and making herself seem invisible (meaning being quiet)

Relationship with Family: Emylynn is very close with her mother as most girls are with their mothers in the Chinese community. Her father dotes on her terribly.
Her maternal grandparents passed away when she was 5 and 7 making her very sad but she celebrated their life as is proper.
Her paternal grandparents she did not see very much until after she moved to England at the age of 8 and is still getting to know them.
HISTORYGeneral History: Emylynn was born in England but raised in China until the age of 8 when she moved back to England due to the death of her maternal grandparents. Her mother is Chinese her father is English.
From a young age Emylynn always knew she was different from the other children when she was 5 and began school it was apparent she was very different. Her parents removed her from school and began teaching her at home to keep the fact she was of magical ability a secret. Her grandfather, Yan always told her you are what was meant for you to be do not be ashamed be proud.
She longs for her home in China, she misses it dreadfully but knows she is where she is meant to be you can not fight fate. It is her fate to attend Hogwart's and learn to be a wizard.
MISCELLANEOUSBoggart: This creature is one she believed she caught a glimpse of when her grandfather was honored after his death. She was standing holding her flower wreath awaiting the burning of the joss paper she also carried when a cold icy blast of air stirred her dress. Looking to the left with only her eyes she saw or what she believed she saw was a dark form floating about 200 feet from where she stood just above the heads of the people gathered for the wake/funeral. As suddenly as it appeared it disappeared. She has thought of this often and wonders if her fear of death manifested something she believed to be a boggart to her, or if it was only her imagination.
Mirror of Erised: This chance is one she covets and at the same time dreads. She knows the mirror shows what it is meant. If she was to be given the honor of standing before the mirror, she believes she will see her honoring both or her heritages by succeeding in all her endeavors.
EXTRA CREDIT
The Sorting:
Emylynn was quiet making her way into the large room where the sorting was to take place. Looking around she saw long tables each adorned with the banner of the respective house it represented.
A man with a long stride and seemed in a hurry was leading them to seats that were in the middle of the room. Everyone took a seat quickly and waited in silence and awe for further instructions.
A loud voice suddenly was heard: Welcome to Hogwarts, in just a few moments you will be sorted into your house and your life here will officially begin! When your name is called make your way to the steps, walk up and sit on the stool to be sorted do not worry it will only tickle. ~laughs~ We shall begin!
Emylynn sat awaiting her turn in silence and was awed by the quick efficency at which the hat was sorting the prespective students. Suddenly her name was called: Emylynn Qiaolian Jian Berkshire, approach! Standing quickly she made her way to the steps, hesitated as she still had her shoes on but was ushered on by a woman standing just to the right of the stairs. Moving up she sat straight and awaited the hat.
What intelligence I sense in you, young one. Your ambition and honor know no bounds....difficult this is for you can be placed in any of the houses. I sense a connection to Slytherin and there you shall be! the hat declared. Bowing her head she silently slid off the stool and walked down the steps and sat at table for her new house.
Patronus: Snake possibly, may change in the future.
Greatest Treasure: Her Green Jade Family Crest Pendant that was given to her by her Deceased Maternal Grandfather.
Manner of Dress: Emylynn is of Chinese/Engish heritage and has her own style of mixing the two distinct styles of dress. She favors to wear the dress/pant sets usually with comfortable shoes. She will wear jeans, simple shirts and sneakers though usually she is found in the style of her Chinese heritage.
