Thanks! 4laugh
But that was kinda exhausting... 80 and 81 took a toll on me. That list is huge...! surprised

Yeah. This is going to take a while. I predict the RP itself will start long before we finish the lists.

That said these first few days have been successful. Although I know we can't hope to maintain this pace if we worked like this for the next month we'd be halfway done.

Khaost I saw you post in another thread but it seems you must've missed my response to your Kido. Would you mind checking it out on Page 3 where I also looked at Kei's Kido.

I actually did see it, but you were in a middle of a conversation of posts that I didn't want to interrupt. I placed it in 60 cause I noticed in the canon list that's where the "elemental" area was, but I will believe it does seem weaker and should be #41 if that is all right with you.

Okay well. Know in future you're welcome to interrupt.

I can also see why you made that decision but bare in mind there are pure energy Kido like Black Coffin at that level whereas there are elemental Kido like Byakurai as low as 11. I don't believe elemental Kido have a certain level. More likely this would be a pure energy Kido anyway as the process of splitting the ground open is more likely to be using energy to break a crack in the middle for a relatively small depth (obviously a Kido can't rip apart a tectonic plate).

I'll add it into the list now.

Kido Number: 15

Kido Class: Chiyudo

Kido Name: Habu (波布; Venomous/Poison Snake)

Kido Chant: “Materialise before thee and show thy fangs with thy venom.”

Appearance: The users’ hands softly glow with a crimson red halo, which mimics the colour of blood (this is for a purpose). If the user feels a tingling sensation of any degree from their hands, this is an indication that they are applying too much spiritual energy for the Kido than necessary. Another indication of a wrong conjuration is when the faint glow extends beyond the wrists.

Effects: Attracted to the colour and spiritual forced applied by the user’s hands, any poison in the patient’s body will materialise as a purple snake which appears like a bruise on the skin. As the poison spreads through the body, the snake will grow and move accordingly. For example, if the hand is infected and the poison is spreading towards the shoulder then the snake will appear as a snake coiling around the arm slowly, moderately or quickly making its way to its next target (the shoulder in this example). At the same time, it will be growing in length as the hand will remain poisoned until treatment. The speed at which the snake moves is an indication of the rate at which the body is being infected by the poison.

To eliminate the poison, the user must spiritually penetrate the body (Habu allows the user to do this) and pull the snake out with their hands. The strength of the poison can be determined by the force with which the user must apply in order to remove the snake. Hence the longer the poison remains in the body, the harder it becomes.

Though Habu is easy to conjure, its proper use and performance is much harder than its number implies. This is as with most other medical procedures, there is the possibility that the healer may contract the poison themselves. The snake will have a spirit of its own and will most likely harm the healer – who it may see as an invader to its territory – by biting and thereby injecting them with the same poisoning spreading through the patient. To avoid this, it is best suggested to grasp tightly at the snake’s upper and lower jaw, enclosing the mouth shut, in a moment of surprise so that it cannot bare its fangs.

Habu can also be used to identify any deaths caused by poison. This is as a dead victim will appear to be entirely coiled by a massive and long purple snake otherwise not normally seen.

Flavour Text: When a certain Captain of the 4th Division grew tired of the mischievous endeavours of a certain Captain of the 12th Division in poisoning her subordinates as a mean of testing their wits, the said Captain of the 4th Division employed this Kido to eliminate the hassle at once. Her rival and displeased Captain of the 12th Division has since tried to outsmart this.

Hehe, I wonder who the certain Captains might be - they inspired me to make up this move.

This is an interesting one. So I presume Habu both reveals the spirit of the poison and also allows it to be extracted spiritually. I like it. I'll definitely be adding it.

It sort of fits with Shinto thought I think. The idea that every object has a resident God.

Yay! Thankyou ^-^ Took me some brain cells to think that one up haha.

As for the Shinto idea, kind of. I didn't intend to throw that in with Habu but since it works out it's cool if you wanna pull some strings to highlight that aspect. All is good ;D

Well it's more a future consideration. I think the Shinigami are primarily themed around Buddhist ideas with the Soul Cycle and whatnot but they could also use Shinto ideas in their Kido.

Kido Number:
6
Kido Class: Hado
Kido Name: Aoi Umi Sutoraiku
Kido Chant: "Let the tempest rise, the oceans ascend as the farmers pray, the casting of heavens rain down, let their prayers be called"
Appearance: The Kido appears through a vortex of air and water pulled in from their surroundings into the palm of the caster.
Effects A swirling orb of water is formed in the caster's hand and is propelled from the hand by a pulse of reishi, or for a new shinigami, can be used in conjunction with Hado #1 Sho for the propulsion. The attack was not intentionally meant for battle as it was meant to put out fires. However, in battle it's capabilities using the pressure of the condensed orb of water can knock a person back with sufficient power when colliding, or create a diversion.
Flavour Text: A fourth seat was documented to have created the hado. There was recorded fire set in Junrinan district, nearby where the shinigami was posted on a mission and had said in the spur of the moment created the kido to put out flames without harming anyone caught in the blazing inferno. He then immediately taught it to others in case fires were let loose once more.

That's an interesting one. I didn't think of using water like that. I'll add it. The number is perfect too this time.

Kido Number:
1
Kido Class: Chiyudo
Kido Name: Raifu sukyan (Life Scan)
Kido Chant: Let your earthly body move away, and reveal the disturbance within.
Appearance: The kido appears as a simple light hue of blue glow in the caster's palms.
Effects The kido gives a small layer of reiryoku around the palms of the caster, and when waved over a person, will immediately scan for disturbances to the body. The shade of the light will become darker when going over any injury that goes against the body's natural harmony and flow. Items that block reiryoku make this chiyudo ineffective and will not create a response.
Flavour Text: A former captain of the fourth division created the chiyudo as a mean to identify injuries within damaged or injured Shinigami from missions and battles. The captain knew that if a shinigami was moved when critically injured, while having no external damage could be fatal. The captain had to be ready to check for injuries no matter the location as the patient or injured was to be immediately saved. Therefore, this technique was created so in case no prior information was available, a healer would be ready to identify the injuries sustained.

I'll accept this one. Just keep in mind that the translation is a bit odd since it's literally just the words Life and Scan how they'd be said in Japanese. I'm sure the Japanese have a word for Life and it's the Scan section which is making it go funny.

When writing Japanese Kido names in future keep this in mind. The Japanese borrow a lot of our words and so using them will alter others. You should look for synonyms when you can see that the Kido is just the phonetic spelling.

Otherwise we're good and this is just a future consideration.

Hmm, I found another translation that is a possible name for it.

Kurashi o sukyan which should translate to Scan the living

Sukyan is still phonetical (imagine saying it. It's Su-Kee-Yan. Basically scan) I looked at it and found that Investigate had a Japanese equivalent. It's not a problem just a future consideration. I don't mind adding the Kido in its current state at all.
