"Loveless has the cat people right? I never got the thing with cat people. Ok so cat boys and men.. Do you know male cats have barbed penises? SERIOUSLY. Thats how they keep the females still to mate with them. So imagine how awful that's gotta be when it's man sized.... and like cats SMELL." He clearly had thought this through. "And they are constantly licking their junk."
He closed the manga when he jumped, cold hitting his neck. He flinched and then hissed as his wound jabbed him. "Thanks.. Where are you planning on going? I can't too too much. It's probably going to ache after a while." And he was dressed in his lounging clothes!

"Eeerr.... Right. Well then i feel sorry for any cat human whom decided they want to be impaled, and stuck to, another cat humans junk. But then again i guess that was their choice." Did that mean male felines raped females? Why the heck were they talking about this again? She was suddenly glad he was looking away from her, the face she was giving him was rather hilarious, she could tell without needing a mirror.
"AAANNYWAYS... I promise its not far. Just some place i kind of want to visit, and don't exactly want to go alone. I'de understand if you wanted to wait though, we could stay here and chit chat more." She did not really mind either way, she did not want to hurt him either so if he thought it would be too much then she would understand. Waiting for an answer she stopped spraying him with the sunscreen, why waste more if they were going to stay indoors?

It did not dawn on Bix that talking about cat penises was weird. He just never understood the fixation with catboys and catgirls!
Bix weighed his options, stay around and read manga and chat? Or use his medical recovery time and go somewhere. Sure too much movement with the stitches was probably a bad idea but he'd been carrying the pain pills in his shorts pocket so he could always just pop another. Besides, he really enjoyed Ceres company. He had an easy time with her and didn't turn into a useless stuttering blob.
"Oh ah.. let's just go. As soon as I'm good to go it'll be back on to training. So I may as well make the best of my rest time. Right?"

Her lip started to just quirk, but soonturned up into a full fledged smile as he agreed to go with her. Her eyes even shimmered for a moment, before she paused, stuck her tongue out at him, and then sprayed him even more with the sunscreen. Ceres was deeply moved that he would trust her enough to go even though he was injured. She may not have a full medical degree, but she sure as hell had a feeling he would make it just fine. He would be sore of course, but nothing unbearable.
It really did mean a lot to her that she had his trust.
Spinning around until she was happy she didn't miss a spot, she grabbed at his hands and sprayed a little of the solution against them. "Don't want to spray right on your face." She explained.
After he was finished she started to move around the room, and waited for him at the door. "Ready?"

Bix looked up to find the girl practically beaming at him. He turned pink for a moment because he wasn't sure what he did but she sure looked happy. He offered back a small smile but soon was smearing lotion over his face. Where exactly were they going again?
"Ah yeah. I'm set." He wiped his hands on his shorts a second, idly shook his head and sent his braid swinging, and walked stiffly towards her. If he didn't walk very upright, his wond would ache again.
"So you still aren't going to tell me where we are going? This isn't some elaborate ruse by the division leads to put me out of my misery right? Shotgun and a shovel?" He was grinning, it was obviously a joke, and his ensuing chuckle happened when he tried to imagine Ceres beating him up.

"Clearly our superiors went to all the trouble of patching you up like a leaky faucet, only to have me... someone not as strong as you, tempt you away from your nest to get rid of you." She grinned, shook her head, and lead him away back outside towards the light house.
She had only learned recently about this place, dabbled a little with it as well. Her pendant was sitting in the pocket of her own bottoms, ready for the return trip.
Now that they were in front of the portals though, she suddenly felt a it embarrassed. Was her idea stupid? Maybe she should have scouted out the area prior to bringing a wounded man there. If she judged him correctly, then she had a feeling he would enjoy the trip as well. Taking a step in to the portal, still firmly holding on to Bix's hand, she led them through and when they popped out of the other side, they were in a small town. It was almost just as she remembered it, only they added a few things, and took down others. More of the forest was missing, something that made her a little sad. Before she started to see the scary things that roamed the forests she used to have many a day playing in those woods. Some of the houses looked new, others updated. Though it was not a house she was looking for. Turning around she gave a semi amused smirk. "I have not been here since i was a child, but i wanted to see how things changed." She also did not want to come alone, their conversation earlier had reminded her of the good and bad memories of this place. "Plus i am totally selfish and wanted to go on a swing set." Behind her was a small playground filled with old swings, monkey bars, even a old fashioned tire swing that was ACTUALLY still a tire. There was a fort to the side made of wood, along with other objects. It looked old, but then again we all know how they used to make things back in the day, they were made of metal and meant to last. Letting go of his hand, she went over and sat down on one of the older swings and rocked a little. Yes, it was a old place. But it was still as comforting as she remembered it.

Bix actually grinned to be led into a small town. He was comfortable in small towns. He was from one himself. This wasn't familiar to him but it was nice all the same. Ceres continued to tug him by the hand, palms clasped, and he didn't realized until they'd arrived at the battered looking playground that he'd been holding hands with her the whole time. To a normal grownup this wouldn't be a thing but Bix was hardly normal. He pinked a bit and slid his hand free, walking ahead of her as an excuse.
He was self conscious. Weird right now with women. Thankfully that topic hadn't come up yet with Ceres or she'd get to see how emo and pathetic he could be.
"Why wouldn't you want to go on a swing set?" Bix coiled his braid around his neck, precaution in a place with lots of moving parts. He'd hate to have it caught on something. "This place is great!"
He wasn't sure how much playing he could do but that fort looked... AWESOME. The albino sort of gravitated towards it. After testing the old looking wood he sat on the edge and watched Ceres.
"So what are you looking for here?" He didn't mean literally but she clearly was very specific about the place. "Anything... you wanna talk about maybe?" She could have easily come alone but instead brought him.

She still swung on the swing, going a little higher and higher with each kick of her feet. Out of the corner of her eye though, she DID keep a watch on Bix. She really did not want him to hurt himself, least of all get a splinter on the old wooden frame fort. Then she would have never heard the end of it.
"Think its pathetic i wish we had one of these things back at base? I'm certain some would adore it, but then we probably would have Caelius come over and blow it up." She laughed bitterly, certain that WOULD happen. Why cant they have somewhere to wind down?
"I've been wanting to visit this place for a while, but even... before becoming a hunter, i avoided it. Call me a chicken if you'd like." Before she could continue though, she launched herself off the swing set at the end of one of the higher strokes. She did not land perfectly though, using the momentum of the drop she rolled forward, and landed on her butt laughing. "Oh god i havent done that in AGES."
Turning around she looked at him, a little sand now on her from the awkward landing. "I grew up here, i was afraid if i came alone the bad memories would consume me."

"Well theres an old school in the Town. On the island." Bix noted. "We've used the gym but the rest of the facilities are sort of wasted. Want to go explore and see if we can find a playground? It'll probably need fixing up." Bix hated that gym. He avoided it like the plague.
"What sort of memories?" He wanted to leap up when she spilled on her butt but the wound bit him when he moved to fast and so his polite instincts were set on pause.
"I always like the uhh.." Bix pointed at the round..." spinny thing. I would run run run run and then climb on it and just weeeee..." He laughed.

"Not..so happy ones of my child hood. I probably would have been worse if we decided to go see some of the houses around here, but because we are here i think i am okay. I was a bit of a chicken for choosing this place to visit, that fort your sitting on was my sanctuary to get away from it all." She even remembered spending a night or two...possibly more, on that thing to escape. She had a feeling now her parents knew she was there, but back then she thought she was away from them. It really was a small enough town.
"That would be nice though... we should go check it out sometime, maybe we can restore it. The phoenix probably killed it..." She turned around a little more to see what he was pointing at, and laughed. "We could even install your own 'spinny thing', also known as a tire swing." Wouldn't that be fun?
"Im still betting someone blows it up." That seemed to be a common occurrence for them.
Standing up she patted any of the sand that stuck off her rear before moving over towards him and sitting down next to him. "Smaller than i remember it....Sorry for dragging you here." Now that she thought about it, it WAS a bit selfish and silly.

Bix scooted over for her, giving the young woman plenty of room to sit. "Not the tire swing the uhh... spinny... rounda-thing. Do those have a name?" Bix kicked the soft playground turf but just nudged her with a elbow when she started apologizing. "Don't apologize. Anything is better than staring at my dorm walls and leaving the island is WAY better than that. Did you get what you wanted from the trip? Feel better at least?" He gave her a smile, "That's really the important part, right?"

"OH! THAT thing!" From this angle she could actually see what he was pointing at. "Looked like you were pointing at the tire swing from my earlier angle! No those things are called Merry go rounds... i think that one has been busted for a while here." She frowned at it. "Unless they like, fixed it." She shrugged.
In reply to the nudging, Ceres lifted the arm facing him and nudged him back. She could not leave that challenge unanswered! Though her arm looked entirely small compared to his muscular one. "Yes and no, to be honest."
Leaning back on her hands and looking towards the top of the fort she left her side exposed if he dared retaliate more. "It shows i can come back and look around, but that i'm not ready to go past this place just yet. I still do not want to remember what lays outside this little sanctuary." Closing her eyes she breathed in deeply and let it out slowly. "Didn't mean to drag you down." She meant his mood, if she had. "You sore at all?"

"I guess your family isn't here anymore?" They weren't really supposed to go anywhere that they may be recognized. They were all 'dead' after all. He didn't retaliate when she nudged him but he did snap his arm to sheild his side, a wry grin on his pale features.
"At least you got this far. That's good if moving on is what you are trying to do. You're strong and capable now.." At least a weapon helped. "If you ever want to... push farther? I'll go with you." Bix nodded supportively, but just shrugged when she asked abotu his wound. "When I finally decide to cut my hair off I'm gonna need a shoulder to weep on afterwards." He grinned and instead of nudging her, went for the full on side-tickle.

"Nah, left this place a long time ago. We moved away from here when i was about Eight." WHich meant no one would ever recognize her from here, it was literally twelve years later. Ceres snorted once, giving a huge shrug. "You'd think ide be over this already but, i guess some scars stay even if you think your over them. I doubt ill come back here again but if i do... consider it a date." She winked jokingly at him, teasing hardcore. She probably really would never come back, and if she did she might come alone.
Only time would tell.
Serious mode aside, she stared blankly at him for a moment as he mentioned his hair going away. He was cutting it off? She had known him long, but it was one of the traits she associated with him. "Decided its too long? Well if you DO cut it make sure to donate it okay?" Without really thinking of it she reached out and took hold of the braid, gently running her fingers over it. Ceres was naturally touchy feely with everyone, so she did it without thinking it was a problem. The hair was really well cared for, part of her seriously wondered why he was cutting it. He seemed to really love it. "Im sure someone would appreciate hair like this, its soft and well cared for, plus its naturally white!" She let go of the braid a second later, opening her mouth to ask just why he decided to cut it , but all that came out of her mouth was a loud squeak. Ceres squirmed as she swatted lightly at his arm a moment later, simultaneously scooting further away from the hand. "Heeeyy!!! Dontdothat!"
Paybacks were totally part of your future, when healed, Bix! Watch out!

Bix unwound the braid from his neck when she took hold. His hair was long and very well cared for.
"When I was little my mom insisted on cutting our hair but all she did were bowl cuts so I eventually refused and grew it out instead. I sort of... mastered it by this point." He could braid at lightning speed and knew all kinds of hair care products. "If you ever need hair advice.. uhh I swear I'm not gay but .. I know all about hair." Another pause and pink cheeks. "So yeah I am going to cut it. I'm so old at this point, I can get a real haircut and... well I'll never know what I looked like. In my recent soul searching I decided to do things for myself that I always wanted to do. Sounds stupid I guess. Other people just... go do things."
He shrugged. "Plus it'll grow back."
He didn't tickle her further after the first assualt, but he was smirking. It was that knowing look. The one that said she should never turn her back because he would always be there.. READY FOR TICKLE WARS.
