 "Nothing too terribly important." He answered Tien as he finished pouring the tea out, placing the kettle back down on the tray before he looked up.
Probably a good thing, considering, as he ended up staring at Taj just as much as Taj was staring at him. And then seconds later he was all but squished in a tight hug, through he bore it rather well.
People and touching. Really rather strange.
"It has been a long time, I admit." Generally speaking, of course. He had little idea how long it had truly been. "And yes, she is. Quite a bad influence, indeed." He said, amusement thick in his tone. Well, his father would certainly think so.
Akakios simply could not be bothered to think much of what his father might think anymore, at any rate. In his mind, Nergal had given that right up when he had vanished last time, only to never return.

Tien snickered and deposited herself on Enjiron's lap again. "Precious few think any different of me." The Eshurians, Enjiron's family most of all, and few others. She turned so her legs lay over the side of the chair and rested her head against his shoulder. "Speaking of being a bad influence though, what would you say to taking him with us when we go to Aejiss, Taj?" It seemed a fair idea to her; he would have space from his current troubles and give him a chance to spread his wings so to speak.

Enji laughed, his arms slipping around Tien. "But Taj says it lovingly so he really does not consider you a bad influence, Eshu." Only the stuffy old stick in the mud people ever really considered Trickery a bad influence. At least that was the way Enji thought of it. He had been tempted to whisper in her ear that he could show her what a bad influence he was but instead he behaved himself.
Taj frowned for a moment as he watched Kios. He stared thoughtfully then nodded. < If it is Lament's will to go, there are no objections here. A weapon would be necessary for his use. But it is they who will lament that we are there so it is fitting. > He did not mind at all that Kios go along. If the godling had still been small, Taj might have objected. Kios would be a good addition to their group.

"I would like to." He thought, at least. The more he thought about it, the more the part of him that wanted to simply get away was winning over the part of him that was honestly terrified of leaving the little safe bubble that consisted of what little of the world he actually knew about.
Books were one thing... This was another thing, completely.
"We've talked about that... I think Tien had something in mind ?"

"A bow might suit him at least for now. I can talk to Teilil about teaching him." Trickery could have taught himself, she knew how to handle a bow fairly well but the wild elf would be a much better teacher. That and he would probably benefit from spending some time with Akakios. She knew a bit about his situation, albeit not as much as Tajnevaki might, and it seemed like he could use a listening ear. Her brother might be able to guess about her intentions, if he thought about it a moment.

Taj nodded, his eyes thought as he watched the younger godling and listened to Tien. < Ranged is the best to keep an unskilled from attack. The twins provide protection also as little comes between their blades. > He knew that Tristan and Enji would protect Kios also. They would let nothing happen to him. He wondered if he should ask Nergal or Echo about taking Kios along but he pushed the thought away as he watched him. Kios wanted to go. It was in his eyes even though Taj could see nothing else. < It is likely that Lament will be of help on Aejiss. >
Enji nodded to Taj's words. "I already told him if he wanted to go that Tristan and I would make sure that nothing happened. It would be nice for him to go with us I think. At the very least it gives me someone else to pick on other than my brother." When Taj stared at him, Enji shrugged, grinning. "At least I am admitting to it."

"Well, I hope so at least." That was the biggest worry - he did not want to end up being totally useless. He might go back to the library and try to cram as much knowledge as he could before they did go... Through he remembered a lot of the books he transcribed at a base.
Hopefully some of that he knew would end up useful.
Wait... What ? "I heard that, you know." He pouted a bit, but then grinned. "I thought the point of this was to not warn the upcoming victims..."
At least now he knew to officially watch his back for pranksters, through that had been more or less a given.

She laughed and gave Enjiron a half hearted smack on the arm. Kios did have a point but- "He did not say when he would be picking on you exactly." It was more fun to keep your victim on their toes.

Enji laughed at the smack and at Kios. "Well, maybe we will find a nice mir'eshu girl and I won't have time to play pranks on you. Tristan has plenty of extras as you saw. And there may be more on Aejiss." He liked Kios and that was the reason he felt comfortable enough to pick on him like he did his brothers.
Taj snorted, shaking his head. The brothers would play and Kios would likely consider them both friends when this trip was over. It would be good for him to have friends and for both Enji and Valor to have a friend in return. This was going to be a very interesting trip and he was certain that Kios would enjoy himself. He was not sure his parents would approve but all children had to grow up at some point. Perhaps this was Kios coming of age party. Time would tell. < Trickery's influence rises to the occasion. > He grinned widely winking at Tien. They would have fun on this trip though they would accomplish what needed done also.

Uh.
Mortals were definitively strange.
"And now you are assuming things." There was a slight waver in his voice as he spoke, as his form shifted along with it. Not too drastic, no, not until one took a closer look.
The chest would be more telling, rather easily apparent in the bumps that was caused in the loose top that had consisted of his disguise at the market. But well, Akakios' understanding of things was quite simple - the drive to populate their species drove mortals toward pairs that were genetically able of reproduction. There were exceptions, of course but...
Statistically speaking, she was now quite safe, indeed. And Lament said nothing else, finally taking the occasion to safely drink some tea thanks to the sudden silence that seemingly had taken over, the little grin on her face for reminiscent of the cheshire cat that was actually sitting beside her.

Once Tien realized what Akakios had done exactly she burst out laughing. Had Enjiron not been holding onto her she would have no doubt fallen out of the chair. The look on her face was probably priceless right now, but she did not care. That really was quick thinking on Lament's part.
And once she had recovered sufficiently to breathe- "I do believe she has you there, amerei."

Enji blinked when Akakios became female, his jaw dropping open for a moment. But then he grinned widely, nearly dumping Tien from his lap as he laughed even harder. His arms slipped around her to make sure she did not fall. "So I should be telling you where Tristan's room is then rather than setting you up with girls. I can do that. I'll remind Mirshu and Rasmus to keep the competition away."
Taj listened and watched the two, but then raised and eyebrow when Kios changed. He did have a new ability apparently. He smirked suddenly as he realized what Enji had said. < Lament's choices are apparently going from bad to worse. > He was definitely amused and glad that Enjiron had totally accepted Kios into their group. He had always liked the godling. Kios fit with the rest of them.

Oh, the looks were priceless. Endlessly priceless, and he was going to treasure them for a long time. Apparently no one had been aware this could be done.
Quite silly, indeed.
"I thought the point of submitting your brother to endless female torture was so that he could father a child ? This would work quite against the plan." One eyebrow rose as he folded one leg over the other in a quite ladylike fashion.
Yup, it was clear that being a lady did not bother him in the least.

Tien clung to Enjiron when he nearly dropped her because of his own laughter. So much for calming down it seemed- her laughter only started again when her mate mentioned giving Akakios to Tristan. And the fact that Lament just seemed to roll with the whole situation as if it was nothing! She would eventually end up coughing and cursing her need to breathe. Being mortal bound was really inconvenient at times like this. Despite the discomfort that had totally been worth it, she had not laughed so hard in quite a while.

Enji laughed again. "It might be worth the try to see what happens between the two of you. A person can learn a lot thru experimentation. I'm always up for new ways to torture him. And it looks like you too, little brother.. I mean sister." His grin widened. "If nothing else it becomes a lesson on who we can confuse the most."
Taj shook his head. It was obvious that Enji was going to treat Kios as he did everyone else. As a part of his family. < The hawke shall be a bad influence on Lament but that is the natural course of those who are alike. > He could almost see Tristan groaning from the pranks these two would play on one another.
