"You're so red it grows out of your head," she smirked at him wryly. Well, that was certainly starting to feel a bit more normal, "I take it you aren't gunna help me eat that massive concoction of meat and cheese?"
She gave him a hopeful look. There was no way she was going to do it on her own and he was the one to get carried away. Just a bit.

He eyed the heap.
"Oh I think I could probably eat some of it, if I really tried, but these were your orders woman. So it's all yours. Enjoy."
He realised he should probably get out of the kitchen before anyone showed up to make him clean up. "I'm off if we are done. You untied the apron, I don't need to clean this up. I'm free." It wasn't exactly a rule, but he figured he'd make it one.

"I asked you to make me a sandwich - not a tower of edibles," she cackled giddily.
Then he threatened to ditch to which she shook her head, "No way, you're helping me grab this thing and we're fleeing the scene together. Apron or no apron."

"Tough titty, you got an upgrade from mere sandwich, you asked a man to make you it." he sighed.
"But fine I'll help you, out of pity." He hadn't actually moved to take the apron off, despite the discussion, and instead moved to eye the sandwich, pausing thoughtfully. "But eh. How the s**t do you even move this thing?"

"I don't know. A man made it, I thought a man would know what to do with it," she gave it a wary poke, "Should we split it in two and each carry a half?"

"That'd work." he stated, fishing a large bread knife out of the side of his denims as if it was nothing to do this sort of thing, and cut the thing in half, picking up his own side.
"I claim this side of the thing as payment for man hours. I want to take it back and show the guys."
He couldn't help but look a little proud of himself.
"My first sandwich."

Rin was dumbfounded as he took the knife and sawed that behemoth in half. Mustard and cheese oozing down the sides with the force of the instrument, she was shaken out of her reverie by the reality someone could come any moment so she grabbed her half, "Yep now gogogogo!"

If there was one thing he could do, it was chopping things, so at least it was straightforward enough to seize his victory half and -glad he kept the apron on- heft it against his chest and skedaddle down the hall.
"I'll catch you later man. I'm going to take the loot back."
And without waiting for an answer and still brandishing a bread knife in his free hand, he headed back towards their shared room to show off his creation.
