Sanyo picked up her length of rope and examined it closely; it was a bit rough and would certainly rub your skin raw if you struggled in it, the rope was braided and a bit thick, as if it would actually be used to bind a person. She didn’t think that it was actually used but it is probably the same kind of rope used by the shinobi interrogators of the world.

“So onto knot style one…” she said aloud to herself her voice barely above a whisper though with the quiet concentration of the room it might sound like regular volume. Regardless she flipped and looped the rope over and over until the rope looked like it did in her text book, it was perfect it HAD to be it looked exactly like it did in the pages. She grabbed a free end of the rope and picked it. She slowly looked it over in hopes that it was all to code, She also hoped she wouldn’t have to deal with these ropes later. She set it back down on the desk and looked it over giving it a few finger pokes in order to test the hold of the knot…

Miyuki grabbed the piece of rope from the corner of her desk, as well as laid down the textbook down in its place. She began to twist and turn the knot accordingly as the book had directed. At first, she could not tell whether or not she was doing it appropriately; however, she began to feel excited as the knot began to take the appropriate form.

While busy with her task, she was addressed by the male student Loric who sat beside her. He was asking if she would like to work together to hopefully make the assignment easier on the both of them. ‘He is doing the best out of everyone in the class,’ the young girl nodded showing her approval of his idea.

“That sounds like a great idea,” Miyuki chimed happily. She looked down at her current knot happy with the improvement that she had been making. This one had been pretty easy; however, this was just the first knot. There had been several other knots in the textbook that looked significantly harder to pull off. This was going to be a much more difficult task than Miyuki had anticipated.

“Hey!” Miyuki exclaimed as she examined her knot closely. “Does it look right to you?” She turned around asking Loric for his opinion.

With a quick tug of the rope, there was a shift in the scrolls and suddenly the knot released itself and started to spill the content of it's bundle. Kuro let go of the rope and started to attempt to catch all of his scrolls. There were only 5 scrolls, but he really didn't want to go chasing them all over the place anyways. As quickly as he could, he reached out and wrapped his arm around the scrolls as they fell onto his desk. luckily they ether fell into the circle of his arms or fell onto his lap and stayed there. He was just glad he didn't have to get up out of his seat to get them at all. Ether way though, he needed to try again since he obviously didn't have this knot down just yet. Gathering the scrolls together, Kuro stacked them on there ends again and started to prepare the bundle once more. Looping the rope around the scrolls, Kuro crossed the ends of the rope and then let one end of the rope wrap behind the scrolls a second time, and then used that end of go underneath the cross section of the rope. Grabbing the end again, he held the stack by the end of the rope and gave it a quick shake hoping that it wouldn't fall this time.

Loric smiled warmly at his new found partner. He was glad. Today was his first day in class and already he seemed to have made a friend, something that he wasn't really used to having. Granted, Loric was not a lonely child, he enjoyed spending time with his grand parents, and he always had his dog Raze. But the prospect of having a friend that was actually his age, who studied from the same clan scrolls, and had similar aspirations was a welcoming one. Repositioning himself so that he could get a better look at her knot, Loric examined it closely. The entire time he couldn't help but think that she was exceptionally better at this than he was. He had barely gotten started and already his knot had fallen apart, yet here she was with a knot that looked like she had torn it directly out of the text book. "It looks awesome, mine just fell apart in my hands" he said while laughing. "You seem to have gotten the hand of it so far, mine looked good to until I actually tried to pick it up haha." Loric returned to his seat, this time however he turned to face Miyuki so that they could attempt the assignment together. "The book says that if you stretch the rope out some it could loosen its fibers and make it easier to handle. We could try that." he said while gripping both ends of his rope and tugging them for a few moments. Once satisfied, Loric attempted to knot his stack of pencils once again.

“You have been doing better than some of our other classmates,” Miyuki proclaimed while grimacing at the thought of being caught in the remedial class that was supposed to take place for the failures. She had to make sure that she did not fail this opportunity to not only shine in comparison to her classmates; as well as, she could study other types of shinobi practices outside of class while everyone else was still practicing these silly knots.

“That looks pretty good,” Miyuki noticed that the knot Loric was working on was beginning to finally turn out right. The young girl continued to work on the second knot that the textbook presented. Loric seemed to be a pretty nice person. He also seemed to have similar goals in mind. This could be an interesting companionship.

Miyuki looked at the text that Loric pointed out inside his own book. The young girl nodded while taking his advice. She disassembled her current work tugging at both ends of the rope in order to attempt to loosen the material. Afterwards, she began to assemble to second knot in the textbook once more. This time she found that she was able to finish the knot with profound ease. The material was much easier to work with once tugging with the materials.

Loric smiled happily at her compliment. After his knot had failed completely he had become slightly discouraged at his progress. But now that he actually took the time to look around he could tell that he had actually greatly exceeded his class mates. "You are doing pretty well yourself though, it seems that tugging the rope to loosen it was the trick all along" Returning to his work, Loric continued looping the rope around the stack of pencils until he was satisifed that his knot accurately matched the image provided by the text book. "Ok, here goes nothing" he said while crossing his fingers on his left hand. Slowly, Loric grabbed the end of the rope and lifted it off the desk, holding it up in front of his eyes as he marveled at his success. Rather than immediately fall apart, the knot held firmly, holding all five pencils in place. It was a perfect knot, and better yet it didn't take him hours to complete. If this was the only assignment that they had planned for the day then he would surely be able to leave early. Turning to his right, Loric glanced over at Miyuki's progress, hoping that she was met with the same amount of luck that he was.

There was a brief pause in Kuro's breath, there was a slight shift but nothing fell from it's place. This made Kuro quiet happy that he was getting the hang of these knots. Thinking for a moment, he decided that instead of going for a new knot to learn he'd work on trying to prefect this one. His technique was alright, but this knot was supposed to be able to hold down quiet a load so he figured that this next time he tried this knot he'd add pressure to the scrolls to see if it really was holding down the bundle like is should. Like the last time he tied the scrolls up, instead of untying the knot itself he pulled a scroll out from the middle and then the whole package just loosened up to be untie-able. After making the rope into its original shape, he placed the scrolls on the ends again and started to follow a chant he'd made in his mind while learning this knot. 'behind, cross, wrap, under the X and pull. Behind, cross, wrap, under the X and pull...' while repeating that in his mind, he followed his own instructions and once done, he held up the bundle. Placing his free hand on the scrolls, Kuro pushed the scrolls away from him while pulling the rope towards him. He was doing this over his lap so if anything happened they would just land on his lap instead of rolling all over the place.

“I agree! It was so much easier once you loosened the fibers of the rope,” Miyuki took a few moments to undo the second knot that she had accomplished. Upon the ropes disassembly, the young girl began to twist and turn the rope once more. This was going to be the final knot that she had to complete in order to be safe from the remedial classes. She actually began to feel slightly anxious. While she still had time to finish completing the knot, it was hard to be so close to complete success yet not quite there.

“You are almost ready to leave the class aren’t you?” Miyuki questioned looking over her shoulder to Loric who had once again mastered the art of knot creation. “Would you like to hang out after class if I pass?” The girl laughed sheepishly getting nervous about her upcoming knot.

Miyuki closed her eyes momentarily taking a few deep breaths. Once she was calm, she began pulled one side of the rope around, over, and under attempting to complete the knot. The rough texture of the rope was harsh against her skin when she pulled tightly. ‘This does not look right at all,’ the young girl sighed disappointed with the outcome of this attempt. The rope loosely disassembled itself with no effort of Miyuki to assist it. This was a failure no matter how you looked at it.

“Damn,” Miyuki grumbled biting her upper lip. She opened the textbook once more to refresh her memory of the details of creating this particular knot. That had to be the reason why she had failed. The young girl got too cocky assuming that she would remember all of the details to create each individual knot.

((sorry, I started today off with a nauseating migraine))

Shiro grinned sheepishly as she scratched Bou behind the ears. "I'm late... alot..." she whimpers quietly. "It's not like I mean to either..." she adds furrowing her brow some. "Shiro Yuri Amai!" She states with a bright grin as she popped up to her feet taking his hand for a short handshake. "My family is related to the Inuzuka family." she adds with a nod. She had only just finished with introductions when the teacher opened the door, you would think with those ears of hers she would have heard him coming however she obviously didn't as she jumped and whirled around to face the sensei. "Ah, gomen!" she states bowing her head. "Bou got me into trouble with mom again, he hid her favorite spatula, and I wasn't allowed to go to bed until I found it. So I wound up staying up really late and I guess I accidentally slept in..." she states with a sheepish little grin. Only now noticing a third student approaching, 'yay another late-for-classmate.' she thinks the expression on her face becoming a light grin once more.

Realizing now that he had finished before anyone else in the class, Loric decided that he might as well spend some time perfecting the skill. He wanted to test himself to see if he would be able to quickly tie the knot on the fly without having the book as a reference image. Taking a deep breath, he alloted himself exactly thirty seconds to complete the knot. Before he started, Loric pulled the knot apart and reorganized the pencils so that he could easily grab them and begin retying them. "Here we go" he said out loud as he quickly threw his hands into action, grouping the pencils before making two lasso like loops around them with the rope. He then tucked the left end of the rope under the middle section of the loop creating the first joint of the knot. He then grabbed the right end and followed suit. Once he was done, Loric wasted no time testing out the knot, With a quick jerk, Loric lifted the knot off the desk and inspected it. It was a flawless knot, holding all five of the pencils in place without problem at all. "Ha! Nice"

The sensei's cold gaze shifted to the young, tittyless girl, his upper lip curling into a snarl as she talked. "Stop." He growled out to silence the girl that was trying to blame her dog for her tardiness. Shaking his head, he moved aside again and jabbed a crude thumb to the classroom, "Class will be over soon, I suggest you and the other girl go find yourselves someone in the class to explain what you should be doing." He said before resting his gaze on the final student.

After she was finished looking over the textbook for a second time, Miyuki closed the book and pushed it back to the corner of her desk. The young girl was starting to get worried that she might actually be held back for the remedial classes. Now, she felt slightly rude for even offering to hang out with Loric after class. She should not have put the option out before knowing that she could complete the task at hand. Though, the girl could not deny that she had been excelling at the beginning of the class. It was only nearing the end of class where her skill seemed to fall off. Perhaps, she had just lost too much concentration.

Miyuki quite literally shook the thought from her head. Once finished, her pink hair fell onto her face, so she was barely able to see through. The girl outstretched her left arm and ran her palm through her hair from front-to-back. She felt much better after this random outburst. It had relieved some of the pressure from her abdominal area. With this newfound composure, the young girl decided to continue on her trek.

Miyuki molded the rope in a similar manner to that which was shown in the book. She was determined to not fail the first task that was assigned to her. After a few moments, the knot while it looked perfectly acceptable began to fall apart. “Grr,” Miyuki growled becoming slightly irritated.

‘I guess it does not matter, since Loric finished. He has not responded to me either,’ Miyuki calmed herself before her last attempt, since the class was coming to an end pretty soon. “Congrats,” Miyuki stated clearly speaking to Loric.

To his own amazment, Radagon was able to actually make a bowline knot without trying. He gave himself a good old pat on the back for being able to do it without remembering. But now came a even greater challenge; To be able to do it at least two more times. But now that he had completed it once, Radagon was more than confident that he could do it again. Staring at the knot thta he had made, Radagon began trying to pull the knot out so he could try again, but he had already forgotten that pulling the knot wouldn't do anything, at least for awhile. So, just playing with the knot for awhile, Radagon took a look around to see how everyone was doing. Several of the other students had started off well, while others were a bit on and off. If this kept up, Radagon had was going to be left behind. Still trying to pull the knot loose, it finally let up and fell apart, allowing him to make a straight line of rope once more. Grabbing the string of rope and putting it into his hands, Radagon got ready to make another knot. Whether or not he could do it was a subject no one could see, as he had still forgotten what was said in the book. A bad thought crossed Radagons mind, that he would fail to make the knot and actually end up just tying his hands together. Well, there was only one way to find out and so, Radagon began making the first loop.

Hattori smiled warmly at the girl from the dog-clan, Shiro Yuri Amai. He was about to continue the conversation when the Sensei and another late student showed up. The Sensei was not at all amused by their tartiness. The two girls explained their reasons. The first was apparently up late studing, then overslept as a result.

Shiro slept in as well, but for a much less respectful reason. Shiro chuckled at the story about a playful dog hiding away a mother's spatula. According to the dog-clan girl, the search went so long into the night that she didn't wake up on time. Then it came down to Hattori to speak.

Hattori stepped up in front of the teacher and crossed his arms. The student smirked and gave his answer to the teacher's question, "I honestly don't have any excuse for being late. Most days I'm not, but today I am. Simple as that. 'That cool with you, sensei?"
