A. Into the tall grass.
You cry out as you walk among the grass. The blades are sharp, and your socks are soon torn. No wonder they don’t let you leave without a Pokémon! Calling your loyal starter to your side, you promptly request it destroy all the grass in the area. The inhabitants aren’t happy about it, however, and two come out to challenge you and defend their beautiful lawn!

It isn’t long until you chase them off, but you now realize you’ve done something stupid, but what?
A1. Taking forever with the mowing! If only it had been done faster, you never would have been attacked!
A2. Trying to destroy the homes of a number of Pokémon! This day, you’ve found a newfound respect for the a**-kicking prowess of wild Pokémon and hobble on before any more of them come.

B. The underground tunnel.
Although the tunnel seemed exciting at first, you soon reach a dead end. At first, you’re dejected, but as you consider turning back, a Pokémon pops up and offers to help you!

It makes a nice-sized tunnel for you to continue your journey through and you quickly enter. But before long, an enemy keeps you at bay!

B1. You stay and fight!
B2. Run the hell out of there!

C. The lake.
The lake is nice, but your starter Pokémon is too small to carry you, and you certainly can’t swim through an entire ocean! Luckily, you’re not one to give up so easily. You throw yourself into the ocean, but no matter what your plan may have been, it fails as you realize you never did get a CD that allowed you to swim! You would have surely met your death had not a slow and ponderous Pokémon found itself under you, and unintentionally kept you afloat and saved you life! It deposits you back onto the shore, where you see an item that had been carried in by the waves.

C1. Not willing to test your luck any longer, you thankfully take the item and return to your home town to take another route.
C2. What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger! You throw yourself onto the slowpoke and grapple with it, intent on catching it and having it help you traverse the sea.
