Okay PM me the specifics of this. Basically you need members. Some one to take over as the incubator until you can get ahold of your friends, a background scenario (Is it okay to use anything verying from newyork? Popular locations around the work such as south africa, venice italy, china, japan, russia, ireland, and australia?) I can get cuts of scenary from places and form a grid that we can work with in sections depending on who all would be interested. Also if you're having troubles setting up a starting point for the story it would be good for the leader and crew to have puella magi already in script to introduce new girls in. the incubator should jump on whoever the first members who are interested in the guild offering contracts to get the ball rolling quickly, then you can switch your stand in magi into witch mode and give the recruits something fun to work with as soon as you get them in.

Basically just PM me specifics like where you want the location of this to start, which can be anywhere. I'm going to assume its newyork for now and base off of that, build a fundamental backbone and then brainstorm ideas while I"m out in my journal. then when I get back I can piece a few things together. I don't have any kind of digital imagery software, but I did mess around with drawing and painting, so I can mess around with origional backgrounds to use later on if you want, and it shouldn't be hard to find landmarks on google images to use. Puella magi uses a lot of this type of scenary changes in the show, it focuses on a single area really well, then pans over the area as it switches, so only having a few key focus points will be fine till you are up and rolling. Iono If I will be able to do much, but I might be able to get the ball rolling.

The main story in the group is in Philidelphia if I'm not mistaken in spelling, but for recruitment in profile-gathering, the idea of it happening anywhere could work.

Someone also has to establish contact with someone from Kyubey's kind, but for the most part the majority of the rest is spot-on if that helps.

Hi, new member here. Out of curiosity, are we still using the character template found in the default forum? I've kind of been working on one this evening, but I don't want to go editing the HTML all around if that isn't the format for profiles anymore.

Aaaand then I used this post as an opportunity to clean up the existing HTML of extraneous size tags. Oh well. (because we really didn't need a new size tag for every new section--if it's all size 11 font, you only need that once.)

Anywho, that's really all there is to say on the matter at the moment.

Actually, no, there's one more thing I'm worried about. In the series Canon, Kyuubey went for young, preteen girls, but we seem to be casting high schoolers for characters. If I recall, younger girls served QB's purpose more, because they were just starting puberty, and thus weren't as understanding of their emotions as older teens might be. I mean, I understand why we'd want older characters-easier to get them in situations and the like-but it doesn't seem to fit in with the Magica universe.

Just throwing my two cents into the ring. *shrug*

Well if I recall correctly, there's plot-related reasons abound for the last concern, but if I recall what they were, I'd ask whether or not they'd get mentioned.
All that's there to note is that basically a lot of the plots might start on High School, eventually this might get bigger, depending on how many people are willing to get involved in here.

sorry I was away all weekend. I'm going to fit right in with my work schedual and social life , *Cough or lack there of *Cough. Anyways I wrote up a few more suggestions. I'm going to try to invite people.

Maybe start writing out a profile. Can some one tell me what we need, I can make a witch backstory a puella magi candidate or a civiallian. we could probably use structure more than anything else. I could make a teacher anda few students or a store owner or some main character that can be present in the players interactions. It wouldn't be too difficult, but if we needed magi to get things started I could do that as well. said something about only having 2 actives so I figured what we needed most was the witch to give our characters something to start doing. maybe mix it up and start by throwing a witch and 3 familures out just to give them a hard time. I can wip up a backstory for that pretty easily.

Anyway for our new members if you want to start the ball rolling we could use a little profile. I would say start by typing out a name and gender. what you wanted it to be civilian/magi candidate or witch, then a little backstory and the leads can help you refine it then submit it to our leader for review and we can start this up ^_^

Perhaps a plethora of Witch Profiles might be a good way to start things out, if it helps?

I've already got ideas rolling around for witches, but I want to study them a bit more to see if the artworks surrounding them portrayed anything from their history. was planning on reviewing sayaka and... actually never mind. I already knew the answer to this. Just had to think about it for a second. I see how the author incorporated it, gonna change it up a little bit to suite my own tastes.

I'll write out profiles for the free roaming witches when I have the free time. they're pretty dry so they wont be hard to write up. Mainly appearance date, cause and personality. Then start working backgrounds for them later. That way I have a larger assortment of witches and familiars I can burst out quickly, and then spend 5 minutes on re-working their bio/profile to make them scenario ready.

Aside from that I'll start writing out adventure mapped witches and maybe brainstorm on other ideas that we can use from the madoka universe. Their are a lot of useful tricks imployed in that storyline.

If its of any comfort, this chatterbox thread may be of use for Madoka Magica fans to get into, if that helps!

Only a matter of time before we get started on those new to the Madoka Magica universe to assemble and contract and whatnot, isn't it?
