Danny calmed down after a good few minutes of laughing at Amanda, who afterwords had pulled her in as well. The water was freezing, but after a while of diving and swimming underwater, Danny had gotten used to it. Amanda, however, hadn't. But Danny was enjoying herself, making sure to stay in the shallower section of the lake, because she didn't like trying to constantly keep herself afloat in deep water. It wasn't so much that she was scared of swimming or anything, because she wasn't. She just wasn't the best at swimming. Of course if the time depended on it, she could swim just as good as any other person. "So what do you wanna do?" Amanda asked Danny as they stood near the shore, about chest deep in blue water. "We could play a game of underwater pick up," Danny told her, grinning towards her bag on the shore. She had brought a few toys, such as the mini torpedo toys she used at her grandma's house sometimes. They were fun to chuck out in the water then race to find them. Danny had done it a few times, and wasn't too bad at it either. "Sounds like fun. You're on," Amanda told Danny, running towards her bag, grabbing the little missiles and throwing them into the lake, but making sure not to throw them too far, so they could reach them. She then reached into Danny's bag once again, grabbed two pairs of goggles, tossed one pair to Danny, and began to put the other pair on herself.

Well, I didn't know if you landed in water, which you probably did, but if you didn't, I figured Danny didn't notice. And while you were doing you're little thing with the sirens, then maybe Danny could be doing something where she could be in a little more danger, so maybe a rescue scene could happen if you know what I mean. ;3 wink, wink. Am I making sense? If not, I can change my post to what you need it to be or whatever.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander waited. Well, waited didn't seem right, considering he was honestly thrashing about in the water. He was in no real danger, as breathing to him wasn't quite as important as it was to humans. However, drowning people were easy targets, like a wounded gazelle to a cheetah. And yet, over a minute passed and he felt no hands upon him as he sank. He turned to look for the nixie girl, who was observing from a good ways away. She looked about and shrugged at him, suggesting she had no idea why no attention had been drawn either. Alexander kicked his way back to the surface to look, shaking his hair out of his eyes. As he did so, he began to take off his vest and kick off his shoes, as well as dropping any other clothing that were unnecessary. It was then he saw three rather long dark shapes creating ripples not far away. Currently they were circling. Alexander ducked under the water once more as he saw them make a beeline for the dock. Truly he could follow their train of thought. He may have been drowning, but there were two girls they could easily drag under and play with not far away.
((Ta-da! And dang it, the creature I was thinking of wasn't Sirens, it was Naiad's >.< They look a little more like Nixies, so I wanted to use them instead, but for the life of me I couldn't think of their names. Oh well.))╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Danny finished adjusting her goggles, now ducking under the water to get used to them. She looked around, seeing seaweed and sand and a few fish off in the distance. She resurfaced to see Amanda coming in the water as well. "You wanna say go?" Amanda asked Danny, "Yeah. Ready?" Danny asked, and Amanda nodded. After counting to three and diving under, Danny looked around and saw the orange one not too far off, so she swam towards it. She grabbed it quickly and pushed herself off of the sand to come up for air. As she came above the blue waters, she looked around for Amanda. Not seeing her, she brushed it off. Must be underwater... she thought, and dove back under. She spotted the 40 point torpedo and went for it, even though it was a ways off. She looked and saw Amanda looking off into deeper water. What she was looking at Amanda didn't know, but she wasn't about to lose the 40 point torpedo, that was for sure. She looked again to Amanda as she got closer to the gray toy, and saw that she was hurrying to the surface. Danny frowned underwater, but went for the toy again, her air supply choking at her lungs. Her arm reached for it, and finally grasped it, and she pushed off the floor of sand again, going for air. Right as her head came above water, something cold and smooth grabbed her foot, and dragged her back under as she heard Amanda scream.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander swam as fast as he could, but he was not any match for the [insert here], because while he was a Fae of nature, and while higher up in the line of power, he was not currently in a form suited for water, and any transformation would take too long. Instead he just swam as fast as he currently could and hoped he'd get there in time. It was then he felt multiple arms around him and looked to see what appeared to be the young Nixies older sisters. They would not be much good in a fight, but they would get him there much faster. He closed his eyes as they picked up speed before he felt them release him and let momentum take him the rest of the way...directly into one of the attacking creatures, who in the meantime had begun to taunt the girls, 'weakening' enough to let them get a gasp of air before dragging them back down.
((So should we stay with Sirens, or change to Naiads?))╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Danny's face turned to shock as she fidgeted and turned, struggling to pull her leg from the coldness that was dragging her deeper underwater. She toughed up enough to reach her arms down to try to pry herself free, but the moment she set eyes on the creature that had hold of her, she screamed, her air escaping her. She shut her mouth quickly, desperately trying to wretch herself free, but she had become utterly terrified. She looked around, praying that Amanda was safe, or getting help, or something.
Danny's eyes spotted another one of the creatures, and her eyes filled with horror. It was pulling, teasing with Amanda. Pulling at her legs then letting go, pulling and letting go. Amanda, naturally quicker than Danny herself, shot out of the water before the thing could come at her again. Danny mentally sighed with relief, but the choking sensation in her throat grabbed her attention. She couldn't handle much more of this, she had to get air. She would drown if she couldn't.
She exasperatedly tried again and again, yanking and grabbing, but it was no use. The burning in her throat was unbearable. She spotted another figure in the water. It wasn't another creature, but a human? She couldn't tell, the water was becoming dark. She prayed she would get out of this alive, but things were looking bad.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander kept a tight hold on the one he'd slammed into, one hand over her forehead, another across her throat and therefore covering her gills. She began to thrash and attempt to kick him, but he tightened his grip. "Get their attention." he said, sending his message directly to her mind, as speaking would only produce bubbles. "And if this all works out alright, I might let you live." The threat was legitimate, as Alexander had finally gotten to see exactly who they were holding. With that, he released his hold on her throat just enough for the thing to speak. Instead of actual words, the noise that came from the Naiad's mouth sounded something like a warped and harsh dolphin cry. This effectively drew her sisters, attention, and they stopped teasing the girl, moving instead to hold her there, glaring at Alexander. From then on, Alexander used his captive to relay his messages to the others, starting with a simple command. "Let her head above the water, and your sister won't die. Let her drown, and I'll destroy you all the most heinous way I know how." He commanded. The two holding the girl looked at each other, before extending their arms just enough to let the girl tip her face up to breathe. "Well well," the one he assumed to be the eldest said, a smirk exposing rather sharp teeth coming to her face. "Why are you so interested in the life of this human girl? You're kin." She spoke, looking to her other sister. "We're meant to use humans, aren't we? Us for sport, you for servants, isn't this how it goes?" She tittered.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Danny couldn't take it anymore, she NEEDED air. Her throat was on fire, and she thrashed for another second until her head lifted over the surface of the water. She inhaled, gasping for air. Her lungs filled with air a little too quick, and she choked out her exhale. She began breathing steady, long enough to realize that those creatures were still here. The cold hadn't left her legs yet. That frozen feeling was spreading to her knees and feet, since the source had been around her ankles. Her legs felt numb, but her thrashing had given them enough warmth to hold on.
She let her mind drift away from that thought. Where was Amanda? And why was her face only above water. Not her head, her face. It was hard to concentrate when water was lapsing at her eyes and mouth, let alone her nose. She coughed again, finally letting out a loud cry, her arms flailing above water. "AMANDA!"

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander returned the glares thrown his way. "It's none of your business, and you don't have the power to demand the information." The group was startled then when Danny screamed. The Naiad twisted her ankle cruelly then. In retaliation, Alexander twisted the Naiads arm behind her back, causing her to let out a scream. "Here's the deal." He told them. "Let her go now, and when she's far enough away, I'll release your sister. Also, tomorrow you are to be gone. If when I come back you're still here, I will remove you myself." He ordered. The Naiad's looked at each other, before some realization came to the second one's face, the one who'd been silent. "I know you!" She said suddenly. "You are the one Titiana is after! You're Xaverkas!" She exclaimed. Alexander scowled darkly and the hands holding their sister began to glow a bright white tinged with yellow. The Naiad began to squirm as the water around his hands began to boil. "Fine!" the oldest exclaimed, and the light switched to a cool blue. "We will obey, but you can't run from the Queen forever." The oldest said, and the two released Danny's legs.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Danny sat fighting against the coldness for another moment before her ankle twisted in pain. She let out another scream, the pain evident in her voice. She swallowed water doing so, and she began to cough roughly then, trying to regain her breath. She was still trying desperately to break free, though her strength was weakening. As her legs couldn't take anymore, they were freed, and Danny lifted her head above water, glad she could move now. She clamored to shore quickly, breathing heavy. She heard her voice called and looked to see Amanda running back over to her. Danny collapsed on the beach, sand covering her legs. Amanda knelt next to her, and began telling her that she had called her dad, but Danny couldn't hear her. Danny's lungs were burning, her legs hurt, and she was still stuck on the fact that there was something in the water. Not just those creatures, but someone else. Someone who looked like a human. With brown hair and human features.
