Tentacle: 12 Damage: 5 Charge: 3/3 Another hit, and Tenya was now fully charged. The ground was hard to stand on, and he feared slipping below. Regardless, he kept his foot hold and prepared to attack again.

As the tentacle made itself known, Rep felt like the world narrowed down to much simpler terms. He refused to let Cass die because of his own ******** stupid negligence, she was one of the few people on the island he actually liked. Everyone on this mission was coming back home.
He gave Clerise an obedient nod, hitting s**t was usually his job and he was more than happy to do it, especially when he still had a ******** bone to pick with these tentacles, they'd almost seized Jordan last time amongst others and he wasn't about to let this be ******** revenge of the titans.
He joined Otto approvingly "Nice ******** hits mate."
It was harder to reach without range, but Tracey still managed it with sheer length.

He was actually hitting things again. That at least was progress. The range was just frustrating to deal with from where he was. It didn't help that it was SO ******** COLD either.
It didn't deter him though, he was in that quiet little zone where only the weapon and the fight mattered.

Using the wind for momentum was helpful, turning the blade against it, to make the swing even harder.

It was getting ******** wise to him though, and as he swung another time, the tentacle moved back out of range. He irritably stamped a foot on the ice, jabbing a finger at it with his free hand.
"Get back here ya ********' coward!"

When it did finally come back into range, Rep was utterly furious. He had no patience at all for this bullshit, and with several fairly brutal swipes, finished the damn thing off.
He knew there was a reason he hated seafood. Smartass bastards.

Team Awesome's joy was however, extremely shortlived as the ice gave away right under them, just in time for another mass of tendrils - another single, experimental tentacle - to appear from the depths. The creature underneath was still there, staring straight up with one oversized red eye at the trainees as it attempted to drag them under. Its body was well within harpoon firing range, if one could get rid of the ice in the trajectory first.
While Cass had been freed, Team Molested had not: it was her turn to prevent the two from becoming Team Molested and then Dead.
Meanwhile, the harpoon hummed, a small screen on its launching apparatus indicated that it was ready to be used at any time. Another friendly message recommended to aim and then press the large red launch button, and oh, have a great day.OOC - The new tentacle has 50 HP, but all that is required is for Cass to distract the squid long enough for Clerise to finally fire the harpoon (choose WHERE she is firing it) and hopefully not miss. They only have one shot....

She'd spent several second wheezing, trying to regain her breath before she was up again - Cass didn't have any time to hold still and freeze over. In fact, she didn't have time to try and dry herself off at all, barely wringing the hems of her coat out before she pulled the chain from her waist, rending it apart to reform as the weapon combo she was more prone to using.
"I'll handle this!" Cass called over her shoulder towards Clerise and Harrison as they got ready to work with the harpoon.
What she needed to do was stab into the damn thing and pull it back closer to her to try and keep the focus on ******** she was cold.

Otto's victory was too short. Cass was free, but now he and Rep had big trouble to deal with. Suddenly he was no longer vertical as a tentacle wrapped around his ankle and pulled, sweeping him off his feet. He hit his head against the ice, his world going dizzy for a moment. He snapped out of it as the creature began to drag him down too.
s**t!
The small blonde gritted his teeth, digging his heels and nails into the cold ice, trying with every fiber in his body not to be pulled under the water.

Oh, please. Kill the damn thing, guys. Please, please, please. The runic technology was friendly enough, but she was having trouble getting it to properly aim. It had been easier the first two times.
The world continued to speed past Clerise at an accelerated pace. Her mind had always been a busy place, full of three trains of thoughts that had run off their rails, but now?
Now, it was quiet as she internally pleaded a single thing:
Please work.
Fortunately, Cass was successfully distracting the tentacle that had ensnared Otto and Rep to give Clerise a good shot, and Harrison was holding the machinery steady. Steadfast boy, that Handsome.
The Life trainee activated its firing sequence, shooting a bolt directly at her target.
"Yippee-kai yay, ********."

Cass wasn't sure if Clerise was aiming for the main body or the tentacle that she was fighting, so her attacks were small, enough to keep it aiming at her, but also keep it away from the main body in case that was the target.
Keep the coast clear and keep it distracted. Sigh. Such was life.

The harpoon (model 1530xb), buckled in recoil, skidding several feet backwards as the barbed end launched itself directly through the ice-
-There was a moment where it seemed to have snagged-
-Before the weapon lit up a runic-blue and redirected itself right towards its trajectory. The water echoed a loud, resonating screech as the harpoon found its target, burying deeply into miniature titan's body. Everything began to churn, ice crackling each direction even as the creature finally let go of Otto and Rep.
And with one last squelch, it gathered all its coils around it and vanished deep into the water.
Chaos. The water, stirred by the behemoth of a creature, bubbled and then lurched forward-
-A twenty foot wave quickly gaining speed heading right for the trainees. It swept up Otto, Cass and Rep in an instant as they went under, churning in a pit of near-frozen water and thick clusters of ice. They were helpless, simply insects in a blender, sheets of ice pushing and pulling them all directions, pummeling their Fear shields-
But they were Hunters. They were made to survive and endure the worst, through weather and thirty-foot miniature titans. They had weapons they could summon to attempt to cleave through the ice, break through the maelstorm of water-
- Seconds later Harrison and Clerise also went under-
- Only one of the two would survive. OOC -This is for many trainees, probably one of their most impossible moments yet. A vortex of water, a literal whirlpool has now formed in the wake of the miniature tsunami, threatening to pull all trainees under. It is freezing, they can feel their arms and legs stiffen, their mind numb- -But their weapons call to them. Not yet. Not by far. Even with their weapons summoned, there is very little they can do but ride out the storm: it just hurts a little less, it is just a little less cold. As the chunks of ice, swept in as well, slam against your trainee, perhaps the only chance is to have your weapon grab a large slap and attempt to climb on. There is not that much time. ILU 5 EVR At first it hurts too much, ice bludgeoning and ripping into your skin, for a second you think you hear someone shouting at you resonating from your mind - but the pain takes it away. Now there is just no more pain. It's not even that cold any more. You just feel tired. Your vision begins to black out, as does your hearing, everything drowning into a dull roar. You know this is it as your lungs give in and your heart beats slowly. It's time.

Good, it had hit! Cass stepped back with Nicodemus, taking a deep breath as it seemed Otto and Rep were safe from the grasp of the Titan, pulling away from their group. The mist trainee finally had a chance to catch her breath, panting as she leaned back on Nicodemus's blade for support. However, she only had a moment before- <******** barely garbled out the word before the torrent of water pulled her down into the blender of ice-and-hell-frozen-over-degree cold. More than feeling her shield get knocked against, Cass felt her brain rattling, and the exposure to so much cold water was finally getting to her. Her mind was cold, she couldn't feel her fingers. She didn't want to die in cold water, not now, not like this, but her body was starting to fight against moving.
Where had Nicodemus gone? Had he sunk into the water? Had she just lost her brain-renter?
Cassandra.
His presence brushed against her mind and it almost felt like a hand larger than hers had wrapped around them, pressing something into her fingers - Nicodemus. The blade was heavy in her hand, but the familiar weight of the weapon in both hands was all she needed to start forcing herself to move. He staved off the barest amount of cold to put feeling back into her limbs.
<> Cass bid to the weapon before she forcefully stabbed the blade into a chunk of ice and started to use him to pull herself up onto it, shooting a glance now that she wasn't half-drowning to look around and see how everybody else was holding up.
