Rin placed an assuring hand on Sasha's shoulder, "Let me try something real quick, okay?" and then she charged out ahead of her attempting to swing Byr wildly at the target.
She hit, but the bird seemed completely unfazed before twirling around to slap Rin aside with a wing like she was nothing.
"Ouch, s**t, I dunno how you're still standing." she gave Sasha an apologetic look.

As he defended her again, she managed to get another hit in; Dakota was impressing her alright... That much she was willing to admit, but sadly, his investment would be fruitless. Ariane stocks probably rise 0.001% per year.

Aklin was humming with delight since he just loved fighting. Tori had backed up some from her last attack. Taking a deep breath since this creature was a hard hitter and charged for an attack. To which she tripped on her chain as she was charging at the creature.

"Gaaaah! STORY WATCH OUT!!!" Before yelled, charging towards the newly promoted Lifer. He reached her in time as a second strike was aimed at the dark-haired woman. The Misty lifted his weapon, pointy end up and took the brunt of the attack.

"Oh, I think I can tire you out with no problem," She answered with a chuckle, although this conversation was starting to sound vaguely familiar- Ah right, her little bet with Jude, "The last guy who tried to say so otherwise had to give me his entire paycheck... Although it was no bedroom game."
With Dakota as cover, and Kintana pulsing in her grip, she waited till the bird was close enough before pulling her hand back, throwing the balls-and-chain into the air, straight at the bird; however, due to gravity - or some other logical explanation for a rather unfortunate roll - the weapon did not manage to hit the phoenix at full force.
In fact, from where Ariane was, she facepalmed right before her weapon desummoned, summoning back in her hands.

Rep may have been a bit late back to the party. He figured a shower while everyone else was topside might have helped get the rest of the weariness out of his muscles. It hadn't but it had at least been a rare and quiet one. His hair was still tied back and wet as he wandered out on the surface and with a lazy flourish, summoned Tracey.
Harrison seemed to be defending the idiot with the wheel, he didn't approve.
He didn't actually wait for defence this time, just leapt to swipe at the phoenix as it swept past. He'd forgotten how hard they could counter when you didn't have someone fending off the claws.
He hit the ground hard, skidding along a bit before sighing heavily. "Birds"
Hauling himself to his feet he tried to pretend that hadn't just happened.

Before says yes, Story is his princess and lady and bfffl and gelatto-sharer and wait was that a talon aimed at his face??!!? DDDD8 A sharp clang of ringing metal from a well-timed block from b0nez and Harrison saves Before from becoming Swiss Misty Cheese. For now, he blocked out the fact that Ariane was there and focused on taking this blasted bird down. Except nope, not happening. Dakota's banter wasn't helping matters :/

Rin nodded at Sasha then obediently rushed back in, axe held high above her head. She missed and was slapped backwards again, landing on her upper back with her a** in the air.
"You know... maybe we should make Rep our attack b***h?" she pointed a dazed finder in Rep's direction.
"HEY REP!" she called to him. Still chilling in her haphazard landing position.
